    Great showcase. I just installed GPL. Owned the CD back in 1999 but gave it up in frustraton. (I never approached learning racecraft in a methodical, patient way. Meh.)
    Anyway I come back to racing now and then. Did iracing some years ago. I now own, AC, ACC, AMS2, Dirt Rally, Dirt Rally 2, GTR2 (with the VR plugin built into Crew Chief), Project Cars 2, and Race 07. LOL. A lifetime of racing sims - to say nothing of the new MS Flight Simulator.
    Having said all that GPL has always held a special place in my heart. It was the first racing "simulation," that I ever tried. It really set a standard for others to aspire to. And heck, with hundreds of addon tracks and cars too one could keep oneself busy for a long long time just with it alone.
    Cheers all!

    Fabulous feature, thanks. I love Spa 67 so much I find it hard to spend much time anywhere else. So rewarding.

    Great video, I really loved the shots at 0:40 and 6:21 but the best was the one at 6:11 with the two McLarens leading the Can-Am field which looked majestic.

    targa is my favorite track to hotlap, especially with the can am 71 cars, its so fun to feather and rebound back and fourth from slides on this windy road, and the length is a real test of endurance, even when hotlapping.

    My fav is 1971 Austrian GP Zeltw71, original one by Jackseller (he's also the author of Urbanya track you mentioned), WITHOUT hd mod by Thomas Lächele. It has this strange athmosphere of old game graphics plus Austrian mountains from the old. That mountain view after Turn 2 is just great in the original track. Also that huge Mercedes badge and people surrounding it seem a bit... occult. I dunno. Worship the Merc haha. Deadly festival of motorsports watched by the masses under the occult sign placed on the hill.

    Dundrod and Solitude have to get a mention at least. They're magnificent. The old sachsenring too, and Rouen. Bremgarten should have been higher. Good picks though, apart from daytona!

    Vanilla Kylami. If I gotta be honest, I absolutely suck at this game (all it gave me was "vroom vroom, Imma race car driver lolololol")
    But MAN I LOVED driving through that long straight.
    Also, all of these tracks (real or fictional) and still no San Marino track.

    It seems like the oval thing is kind of covered already with Monza 10k. As for straight ovals, I'd say Grenzlandring and Rafaela make for more interesting choices.
    Compared to the others, aside from Daytona, Buenos Aires seems underwhelming.
    Urbanya just feels out of place next to all the other tracks that actually exist.
    For a classic track that is still with us, Road America is great, but I don't know that it stands up very well to most of the rest of the list, as well as some other tracks available in GPL.
    *My Top 10:*
    10. Montjuich Park
    9. Bremgarten
    8. Clermont-Ferrand
    7. Monza 10k
    6. Brno '49
    5. Reims
    4. Targa Florio
    3. Nurburgring
    2. Isle of Man
    1. Spa-Francorchamps
    *My 5 Honorable Mentions:*
    5. Monte Carlo
    4. Donington Park '37
    3. Rouen-les-Essarts
    2. Dundrod '65
    1. Solitude Ring
    There are a couple that might displace circuits listed above if they existed in GPL, or had a proper recreation in any game for that matter: Pescara and Lobethal.
    I also won't deny that the Schottenring is an impressive piece of work. Likewise, it's kind of nuts that Argentina established a circuit like Tandil as late as 1977. And a final one from the "out of left field" file, Bottomless Lakes, near Roswell, New Mexico.

    I was wondering... how you record fullscreen replays in GPL? I can't find anything on how to hide the replay controls...

      You just zoom in the video a little bit. Just make sure it stays in the 16:9 aspect ratio or it will look weird.
      It isn't a big zoom so you lose only a small bit from the width. You need to take that a little bit in consideration when recording but overall it doesn't hurt.
      On my video editor, the values of the axis look like this:
      X1 = 5
      Y1 = 0
      X2 = 95
      Y2 = 90
      It does leave one very small line of black from the replay bar intact, but it is pretty much unnoticeable.

      @@GrandPrixYannick Ah, now you mention it... you can see it... thanks for the tip! I was looking for a means to get fullscreen recording in replays.

    What GPL leagues would you recommend in Europe?
