I wanna say this is the best game in the world. Mabinogi, this game is the only one that can let us to embody the 'Dreamlife' as well as have the great interaction with other player. And it also contains a lot of memory a_a. HAHA.. Still missing this game, still missing the time of playing Mabinogi with my friends. Still missing the moment when i got Paladins skill. There are so much fun when experiencing the story.

This song makes me realize something: There will never, ever be another MMORPG like Mabinogi. And that's a crying shame. Seriously, back then, this game was flat out brilliant. Nowadays the only way to enjoy it is to go into a private server and hope that people are actually active. Nothing could ever re-create the days of 16-man peaca normal raids or the amazement people had at individuals that had just gotten paladin. In a way, it's sad. But i'm glad to have experienced this game in some capacity.
In Irish mythology, the Glas Ghaibhleann is a symbol of eternal stamina, a sacred cow with a neverending supply of milk. In Mabinogi, he's an eldritch abomination responsible for nearly destroying the world twice, the final boss of Generation 1, and a midboss in Generation 9, with four arms, wings, hooked swords and a very ugly body. In Vindictus, he's a late-game boss with an awesome theme song.
Wow this brought me right back to the first time I discovered this fantastic game back in the early 2000's. I had to play on the Chinese server while waiting for the English version. So many awesome memories for so long, I must have played for nearly 10 years on and off, no other game ever sucked me in so perfectly as this one did. I play FFXIV now, while it has its own wonder factor it isn't quite the same as I experienced with Mabi. If I wasn't on FFXIV I would probably return to Mabinogi but I've met a lot of really great people. Mabinogi will always rank as the first real MMO that hooked me. Also Mabi gacha stuff... rip wallet.
Ya I joined in May of 2009, it was fun for years, but I think the biggest problem is the director shifts every few gens. I play FF14 aswell on Famfrit, though with the data center changes I might try going back to Malboro, we'll see.
Darn such a nostalgic remembrance back before G17 - G25 storyline, the grandmaster talents, & new skills exist when fighting golem was a challenge to deal with. Having to learn how to fish, level up exploration exp, run shadow mission, raft, hot air balloon, etc.
the one trailer i saw a few years ago wit hthe elf, giant, and human (if anyone remembers) going on that adventure with this music.... it got me hooked. the game is great! also a great way to talk with friends after school ^__^
Funnily enough, the one you fight in Mabinogi is very likely the same one fought in Vindictus. His Break Off point in Vindictus is his wing; hit it enough and he rips it off to keep it from hindering him. When fought in Mabinogi, that same wing looks really fucked up. I thought that was an incredible attention to detail by the developers, since Vindictus is a prequel that was released over half a decade after Mabinogi.
I don't play Mabinogi anymore (ragequit after getting pissed at the Goro's Ring quest) but I actually beta tested it when it was new. Best. Login Music. Ever. You almost don't want to actually play the game because the song will end, but then you play and it's just like "WOW. I'M IN LOVE :')"
I used to play a long while back. I stopped, finding that the grind was too much without people to interact with. Since I played on a old server, I found that it was impossible to find people to join up with. So I just dropped and went somewhere else. Nexon's base for most of its games are good, but they all just become so full of hackers that the whole in-game economy is destroyed and makes the game itself becomes not worth while.
Yea, one of the main reasons why I discontinued Mabinogi. I still love it and go back to it every now n then, but after my Guild had died off I came to the realization that people no longer cooperated with each other as much. It became more of an individual game than togetherness.
if you played on NA Mabinogi, they recently merged the three oldest servers (Mari, Ruairi, and Tarlach) together into one (Nao) so it's been a lot more active, and even people from Alexina started new characters there, in case you wanted to get back into the game
So. Much. Nostalgia. I miss these days. When dyes were 10k. When I hung out with people in Alby arena. When Everyone hung out in Tir. When players cared more about playing the game, rather than just buying and selling cute outfits. Killing bears and wisps in Dugald Aisle. When everyone -noob or pro- played together. I swear, It was the best.
I used to play Mabiongi a lot but there wasn't a lot of people to play with or to interact with and the updates for each gen kinda threw me off so much to complete, so I stopped. =3= I miss this song

Don't know why no-one responded to this, but I might as well. I came back after around... 1 1/2 years hiatus, and, even though I got confused by a lot of stuff and needed to learn a lot of new stuff, it was worth it. The game is still really fun, and, if you can find the right people, you'll enjoy it all the more by being able to share in your quests/experiences. But I've been playing since 2009 and I'm cumu-level 400 still, so... take my word with a pinch of salt :P

I am still a faithful [layer but it is becoming so hard to stay enthrolved. I've played every gen and want every skill and a maxed homestead but these are the dark days as it is hard to play when friends vanish never to be heard from

@derekmlui Personally, i think the music in maple is more soothing. This music fits a lifestyle, a normal living life. Most upbeat like Dunbarton on Tir Chonaill. Then there's kind of old, dead music like Bangor. It's a much more in depth game then maple, but i like maple's music more.
@lolmanlolify I play both, and I can say that Mabi is more complex, and more in depth. Generally, the quests and storyline is harder. Maple's lv system isn't anywhere close to fair, in my opinion.
yeah it does but it's VERY epic when it's your first time logging in :D especially if you listen through it a bit and just stare at the login screen (the pioneers of iria login screen is terrible though.. the goddess statue was better suited)

I love this song so much. The new background for the main menu is a real turn-off for me though. So boring, some gothic chick with wings against a white background, I really miss the old image of Quilla Base Camp and the Mana Tunnels. They were the first things I ever saw coming into the game and It's only been like a year and a half, but it's super-nostalgic for me now.
