i dont usually cry to movies, didnt cry watching weathering with you or mugen train but this one made me cry. the visuals are amazing and the ending is beautifully bittersweet, 0:46 hits so hard, you can hear both the sadness and a tint of happiness in Uta's voice and i absolutely adore how the movie told the story of the little mermaid. something tells me i will def be rewatching this movie some time in the future

I feel the same way, I felt all fuzzy and light. I fell asleep listening to this and had a dream I fell into water and I started swimming with the bubbles. I woke up crying remembering what happened at the end of the movie.💙

Probably because the ending wasn't that good. since this is already a fantasy genre , it would be done better if the author/ director make a happy ending ( Uta became human and stayed with the MC for the rest of his life).

it was a nice to see they didnt use the disney version of little mermaid, because the original she actually dissolves into foam, but nice touch with the bubble at the end.
