Thanks for a great video, I'm surprised at the results,, the 8 pin should give about 15% greater feet / minute of chain speed than the 7 pin, and therefore noticably faster cutting times. Thanks again.
Oil on max flow acts as a dirt and grit trap where it seals against saw so in short put gun grease ie... Ujoint grease on factory filter face that seals against plate around carb on flat part been doing it for years its irrratating but so is the dust by pass from poor filter seal on all 60 series saws i.e. 66,066,661...some times you'll get a saw or filter that even the grease won't fix so use grease until max flow arrives in mail or do like me and order max flow then go to dealer and pick up 661 and don't use factory filter to avoid all the contamination.
Great comparison, I'm sure it will help many. Stock saw 7 pin with a long bar!
Hi! How come the bottom of your wrap handle (on the right side) is black and not white?? Is this handle from a different saw??
Another gr8 video so what I got out of this is If your saw is stock stick with the 7 pin to retain the torque
yeah at least with full comp chain. Full skip might be a different story.
Wow!! This is absolutely amazing. I'm a Nigerian I want to be one of your sales representatives in my country Nigeria .

dont let the aborist forum guys see this . they all argue a 7 pin is faster no matter what .lol
Making saws from 1926 - it is probably safe to say that STIHL already know what sprocket works best on which saw and putting that on from the factory…
