hey there, what would you do if you wanted to make the blueprint have a transparent background? if you wanted to keep the white edges, but remove the black background (need to save this photo as a png and can't use blend modes when not in adobe software?)
Right on time. I'm trying to figure though if I could use this technique to make a graphic that would go on different colored tshirts where the color of the fabric would become the background color. Would this technique work for something like that?
It could indeed, although rather than use the Screen blending mode, you would have to use a Channels selection to clip the background so you can export the artwork with a transparent background. Pro Tip: Use Layer > Matting > Defringe on the clipped layers to remove any dark halos
Finally getting around to actually needing to do this, can you explain how to clip the BG with a channel selection or point me to a tutorial on how it's done please? Thank you.

i had to run this a t 50% speed because I couldn't keep up with all the shortcuts XD and I LIVE for shortcuts but damn
When I try to change the background to the blueprint color, it just makes everything gray.
Are u sure you are in the rgb or cmyk mode?
i went to say you can press ctrl+y to change but realised this was a year ago... hopefully this helps anyone else scrolling the comments
