Fella was ahead of his time, and more educated than the military men who catapulted themselves to the national and international stage, with a bloodbath coup. Today, his voice is louder and clearer than his days of torture at the hands of the military. You can kill a man to destroy him. But you can never kill or destroy his ideas. Fela is a tangible example of this philosophical adage. Flea children deserves an apology from OBJ, and all the military leaders after him

I’ve alway's wonder if military history and the after affect of those who participated in physical war are taught? Like the long ranges affect on those who never claims PTSD; nor share their experiences? Especially those forgotten, or ignored? Those who fought on two-fronts, the VFWs (with arms) and those on the home-front (the survivors) without arms?

I am a big fan of Fela on the tenor Saxophone, trumpet, and sometimes on the piano but never his fan on the soprano sax 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
He was one of the greatest things to have come out of Africa.
Wish that Jazz artists could do a tribute album for him just as they did for Bob Marley, Grover Washington, Ray Charles etc. What a delight that'd be.

Let's take a couple of minutes and really think about the level of genius artistic expression it takes for Fela as a composer to be able to use special forms of musical notations to create multiple sets of instructions which each member of his band then applies their individual instruments in other to perform this wonderful piece of musical arrangements, rhythms, pitch, tone, tempo, harmony, and melody that supports the chords. Wow!
