Lakeline llc makes the threaded barrell in stainless and gold they have external grooves in them and run about 130$ they look amazing!
I've used keep tinkering triggers for a 2 years. Got my 1st 2 yrs. ago and 2nd one last yr. Love them.
If this is the only upgrade anyone decided to do, I would say to at least change the trigger to one of Keep tinkering's Trigger shoe. It literally changes the whole feel of the firearm Thanks for the information by the way brother ! I've owned mines for 1 year and i'm in love !

Just put one in my PT111 and your absolutely right. It's not too difficult to do but you have to go slow. I don't miss the 2nd strike capability. Keep Tinkering is awsome.
When it fires it cocks itself right? I don’t have to pull the slide back every time I fire?

My KT trigger requires at least a half inch of slide pushback to reengage striker. 1791 makes a GREAT and affordable OWB leather holster...and a Hogue grip can be a nice touch for those with larger hands.

Taurus G2C *Conceal Carry Training who are you telling ?! I went to my local gun range the other day and they let me feel one out. Bro I think I’m going to have to break my piggy bank and go grab it ! They are going as low as 250$ !! The trigger and form factor of that G3 was beautiful. I think we both are going to have to add it to our collection 😅

Great videos on the g2c I'm planning on buying one within a month and I am going to do a trigger upgrade and if I'm not mistaken I think they do have a striker guard except for the plastic one that's on there now the orange one they have a aluminum Striker guard that goes in the slide and I'm probably going to get the grip upgrade as well and I will be watching your videos to wait and see if they do have a new threaded barrel eye one day will come out with one if you do find one I hope you make a video of it great videos very informational keep doing what you doing God Bless America and God bless our amendments

Be careful using a leather holster with that trigger. My leather holster snagged the trigger while bolstering and it caused an accidental discharge.
Love the look of that short stroke trigger. My G2c is coming this week super excited. The stainless steel guide rod and the trigger are going to be the first things to go. I agree you dont really need the double strike capability. great video. hey wheres the link for the grips you got? They look great.

Double strike or restrike is, in my opinion, the safest feature of striker fired pistols. The problem is that nothing are capable of setting them into restrike mode, decocked, without dismantling the slider.. it's always cocked. Unsafe when in EDC or CCW .. in your upgrade it looks like it can do the setup by just a slight tapping..
But as a hobby, we can upgrade, downgrade, tinker it, spend at least a grand, anything that will make us happy and content. That's hobby! But as CCW, EDC, n my opinion, not necessary.

If u want a longer barrel on the G2C seem some videos of a guy shooting the G3 4'inch barrel In the G2C adds bit more range In bullet travel

Most instructors train you to not "refire" a "dud" as well as teaching if it doesnt go boom Tap the bottom of the mag, Rack the slide to get rid of that crappy round, and fire.
Other than for dry firing, I dont see why youd want the double action. I have a G2C, but quickly graduated to something else. I ran it through a few classes and never had an issue.
jordan spradley that’s the truth brother ! That’s what I would do instinctively anyways because I wouldn’t want a 50/50 of that dud round firing the 2nd time or not and every second counts in a situation where your life is in danger. So that is way I love the SAO trigger I’ve put on this G2C. I no carry a Glock 43x with a compensator and a tlr6 stramlight (light/laser combo) with a hyve +2 magazine base extension. I will be doing a video on that soon !
the asmund trigger is a better choice, when installing leave out the skinny trigger safety bar and you retain the original double/single action capabilities.
Harold McDaniel that is good to know ! Although the SAO trigger from keep tinkering works fine, it’s good to know that the admins trigger retains that function. Thanks again brother !
The KT drops double strike but also takes out 2/3 of the excess take up. That's what I hated about stock trigger.
My SA/DA triggers keep restrike.

That wouldn’t rerack a bullet in chamber lol all guns will rack with little to no pull back
He didn’t say that, not even close. He was talking about the re strike feature if you had a soft primer strike or any other reason you would want to re strike a bullet without having to completely rerack the slide and take out the mag to put that same bullet back in. Out of all my Taurus firearms I own I have never had to use it because it is so reliable but it’s mainly a feature for bad ammo so you can re try it.
I really love the keep tinkering trigger. I put one in my g2s a few months ago and it makes it so much better.
Late to the 🎉 here, but I wanted to shout out Dawson Precision, Inc. for finding co-wit front sights. They've got Glock sights that go all the way up to .685 in. 25-70 bones depending on the style, I went with .535 in all black and dremeled in a tiny silver screw from my eyeglass kit. Co-wit is like .0125 in too low, but that's a nominal miss. Anyway, nice video!
I found an lgs makes holsters for them they are $70 but they can make them custom to fit if needed and don’t charge extra. Gonna wait until I get a flashlight on it before I get it.

What is the purpose of the SOA trigger ? Does the firearm have to be re racked after each shot? Im curious sorry if its a stupid question i am comming from a springfield XD 45 and im new to taurus just interested in anything that can make my new toy better
GULLY GRINDHARD it’s not a dumb question at all, but what single action refers to is the action required for the trigger to work. So let’s say you fire the single action trigger, for example a stock Glock is single action, and a bullet is fired another round will load into the chamber and as you let off the trigger you will here a reset meaning you can squeeze the trigger and another round will come out. Honestly single action triggers are very proven and you will learn what you like and not like. There are a few options out there
1. Striker fired (single action) (like Glocks)
2. Single / double action ( hammer ) (like revolvers)

The G2C has been out a lot longer then the G3, the G2c is actually a updated version of the Pt111 (same gun, just updated). The G3 I think just came out last year, and it’s a full size firearm, don’t worry I believe soon both firearms will have an abundance of aftermarket support !

Did the new trigger lighten the trigger pull weight? Mine has a 8 pound pull. I need to lighten that thing up. Thanks
tyler durden adding this trigger on is just adding the shoe, other than springs and internals, everything is the exact same. Although it does feel a lot lighter. The surface of the trigger to where it seats has all changed, resulting in a smoother and lighter trigger pull overall. For 30$ I believe this is a great upgrade to improve the overall feel of your G2C. If this was the only upgrade you put into your G2C or Pt111 G2 I would say that’s all you needed. I have yet to find any barrels for the Taurus pretty much all I've seen is people just giving them a nice polish.
Skylar Lencki exactly till this day I’m in the same boat... I wish someone would come out with some shiny new barrels for us to buy .. I guess in the meantime a nice polish is ok lol.
well ive seen that if you feel like saying fuck you to an entire pistol and casually take the barrel out of the G3 you could have a longer barrel that is possible to be sent to people who thread barrels and such...
I was going to switch triggers but honestly the trigger it has is pretty good and I'm used to it now and really don't wanna have to spend more $ on more ammo getting used to the new trigger.
That is a wise choice my friend. Honestly I would rather you spend money on ammunition to train with rather than upgrading. I started upgrading this gun and one thing led to another and boom there she is lol. I do what I do to this firearm because I just want to show everyone the potential of this G2C ! It has blown me away with how it functions stock as well as upgraded. Thanks for watching and stay safe !
@@SwiggOfSauce so far I've just got extra magazines and decided to get the Truglo TFX pro tritium and fiber optic sights for my G2C and after this range trip on Friday it has just shy of 1,100 rounds thru it. I'm actually cleaning the pistols we shot right now and as I watching this video. Love the content man.

That trigger reset without racking slide all the way back does absolutely no good. There is no round in the chamber to fire. It’s a flaw and needs to be fixed.
It works when there's a round in the chamber.
Not a double action. It has re-strike capability but you cannot chamber a round and shoot it in double action. Single action only

Why dose that trigger take the re strike away in the first. Place. I like the trigger of mine but I really like the flat ones.
Leigh Petersen it is a Single action only (SAO) trigger, so keep tinkering created these triggers intending for it to be used that way because it dose drastically change the way the trigger feels completely. It’s like making it a Glock but feels a lot smoother then a stock Glock trigger. In the end after months of using this trigger I’m glad I spent the 30$ on keep tinkering’s trigger and it is a nice upgrade if that was the only thing you decided to upgrade. Love the trigger, hate the install.. I should have bought the one you have, I have the semi curved, much better than stock but a far cry from the early break you have. Due to the lighting, I can't see if he modified his original design on this trigger. I mentioned it to him when I installed mine. The reason I didn't buy this one was of the possible finger pinch when the trigger is fully depressed. There was an open area right at the top of the trigger where the straight line of the trigger doesn't go all the way up. Difficult to explain but its happened on more than one weapon I've owned. If its happened t you, you'll definitely know what I mean..

So the magazine is a mecgar for sig p226 18 rounder that fits in the G2C perfectly, the sleeve itself is a custom design made specifically for this magazine and it is by Bloodywheels. What do those two screw looking things on the very back of the slide do?
Nico that is actually part of the techna clip’s back cap. I removed the belt clip itself but I left the back cap so if I ever decided to put it back on I can easily by just unscrewing those screws and putting the belt clip back on !
What mounting Plate did you use, I have a G3 with a ADE Advanced GREEN DOT, I cant find the right plate to mount, thanks for any info!

are the mec gar 18 rounders and the pro mag 32 round mags reliable?
Nope.... Leather holster's are no go for me. I everydaycarry a black pt111 g2 with a tlr-6 rail mount light/laser combo riding in a g27 tlr-6 Tulster kydex with carbon fiber look and talon rubber grips with stock orange painted front dot sight with black out rear. The only thing i hate/dislike about your "custom build" is the holster. Please be careful dont shoot yourself re-holstering that firearm.
Mr_Slugger Ninety thanks for your honesty ! I just settled on this holster because I couldn’t find one that will fit this red dot do you have any recommendations ?? Other than that I carry a 43x with a kydex holster and love that this G2C would be carried with me more if not for the leather holster honestly lol.

GULLY GRINDHARD so far still no luck brother. I had a guy custom fit some Glock sights on but it wasn’t to clean.. I’m still on the lookout, but as of now I’m just dealing with this setup here. You like your red dot ?!

How's the accuracy wit that red dot I want 1 but feel like a laser sight would be more accurate?
Edward scissorhands laser is definitely accurate but the red dot is not bad just requires practice !
I got a cheap eBay laser that doesn't quite fit and had to super glue the the elevation and windage for it to stay zeroed it works but I Know there's better I'm probably going to remove it and get the red dot

Ordered the ProMag 15rd mag for my g2c off of cheaperthandirt.com, and it actually fits 17 easily. Even racked the slide to see how it would cycle and feed and it fed flawless no issues whatsoever. Anyone else have this happen before?

josh travis I had to remove the rear sight and add on a red dot dovetail plate, then the red dot sits onto that plate !
What's the pros/advantage of switching to a Single Action Only?
The way I look at it, more than likely if I get a dead strike I'm gonna rack the slide and get the round out of there anyway. The restrike seems cool to me at first but then I'm like, no, I don't want to mess with a bad round. Also the trigger safety seems to cause issues with the restrike and just striking in general, got one sent back to Taurus right now for that issue, so I think its a good thing to get rid of the stock triggerfor a few reasons. Oh and keep tinkering does have models that allow you to keep the restrike. So you don't have to give it up if you don't want to.
So.... with your "tap" you plan to put your finger/hand in front of the muzzle after a misfire?
