    Chantel, You are always so detailed and clear on your videos. Do you think you can do a video about how to use the transom mounted fresh water flush on the Malibu/Axis boats, both in and out of the water? The manual and my dealer have two different ideas on this. It would be nice to have it on video.
    Thank you

    To my knowledge I have always understood duel battery operation and how the switch controller works. From my understanding the battery switch should be set to position 1+2 so that, as you said, both batteries can be recharged by the alternator and can have a reduced load on them at engine crank. However, in my axis owner manual it specifically states to only use position 1 for general use of the boat and only switch to position 2 if the primary battery is drained. From there you would go to 1+2 to recharge both batteries once the boat is started. The manual, for some reason, indicates that the batteries and switch was not designed by the factory to run normal use off of 1+2. Have you heard of this or seen this in the manual?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому +2

      Let me look into this. I will find out if there is a reason they recommend this in the manual. I've always used battery 1+2 when running...

    this is great! Chantel you always have such informative videos. We are expecting to take delivery of our T22 in April. I wonder if you can do a video on how the auto set wedge works? I only see limited info on this. Also can you access the under glove box storage from the bow? I'd like to see just how much storage is under the bow seats too.

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! The Auto Set Wedge is super easy, it's either up or down. There are no settings or adjustments to make. You cannot get into the storage under the glove box/observer's seat from the bow. If your dealer orders the Plug n Play Ballast (which I definitely recommend), the bow will have a bag under the bow seats, so you wouldn't want to store anything up there. When the bag is full it takes up the whole area. Congrats on your new boat! You will love the T22!

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  2 роки тому

      Hi! It depends on the engine you have, most are every 100 hours or every other year, depending on how much you use the boat. I would definitely verify with your service department the exact recommendations for your engine.

      Ha ha both are great boats! Depends on what is the most important to you - the wake on Axis is my favorite, but the Max definitely gives you higher freeboard and more space. Good luck!

    Hi Chantel! Love your videos and how detailed they all are. I’ve seen your videos on Moomba and Axis. I am looking at purchasing either a 21 Mondo or 21 A20. Do you have any thoughts on which is better quality or resale in the future? Also the Axis dealer is 25 minutes from my house and Moomba is 3+ hours is that something to consider?
    Thanks so much!

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому

      Hi Zach! Both will have good resale as long as you take care of them and keep up on service. I’d say I like the wake and performance on Axis the best. The comfort and fit and finish of a Moomba are really nice. Where your dealer is and how you feel while you’re there is huge to consider. You definitely want to have a good relationship with your dealer! Good luck and congrats! Both awesome boats!

      Just received our 2021 A22 in December and am so impressed by the quality. Took it out and could NOT believe the wake. I had two kids under 6 and my wife, full sacks and it was a solid 4'. Best wake out there for surfing.

    Great information. Thanks. Do you need to do anything with the tower pins if you are towing the boat with the tower down?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому

      It's best not to tow with the tower down. There's nothing to lock it in place, so it would just be bouncing around.

      @@ChantelBoats I was told by the dealership that the pins lock the tower in place, if you put them in with the tower down. I tried it. The tower does not move. Is it not designed to do this? Thanks

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому

      Hey Ryan - not sure how I missed this feature!! If those knobs lock it down, I don't see why you couldn't tow with it down - thanks for posting that!

    Chantel, what are your thoughts on winterizing your boat yourself and then getting it ready for the lake. Always hard to plan it around the dealer for timing. Is it that hard?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому +2

      How difficult depends on the engine. It's definitely something a lot of people do themselves, but it's such a costly mistake if you do it incorrectly, if you can make it to the dealer, that's always better, especially if you need any other services done, ie: impeller, fluid change, etc.

    • @ChantelBoats
