reelsteady loses audio when trimmed (if i remember well) but it looks like gyroflow doesn’t. You can upload the audio directly to your editing program from the original video, but if your lazy, gyroflow has that upperhand. Cant wait for reelsteady 2.0!
I’m really enjoying Gyroflow. I’m curious what RSGO 2.0 will offer, and if it will be free. I noticed a lot of content creators pushing RSGO 2.0 after gyroflow 2 was released. No surprise GoPro is getting that interface finalized.
Agree that I like that ReeSteady Go has a little competition. As someone who already owns ReelSteady Go I'm sitting tight for ReelSteady Go '2''s release date. Hoping it's FREE to those of us who already own the original.
Video stabilization techniques are all open sourced. ReelSteady GO is likely just a set of devs who selected profile+settings that produced the best opinionated end result for their limited set of products. I’m fairly confident there isn’t anything ReelSteady can do that isn’t achievable with GryoFlow. GyroFlow is just a user interface on top of open source video encoding/decoding/transcoding libraries that have been developed for years.
My experience is that reelsteady tends to have a little more distortion towards the edges. I have used gyroflow on an architecture shoot and all the lines of the building were nice and straight. However when it comes to smoothness rs go still has a slight edge with gopro footage.
I'm new to fpv and definitely open to any information. This video was very instructive for me. first thing i will do is make an fpv and use gyroflow

I highly doubt it will be free, although I’d really love to see it happen!

Great Video! Can you use DJI Avata footage on ReelsteadyGO?
Good comparison video Mike.
Great video, could you use it for the footage from DJI fpv ?
Yes you can. You just need some gyro information. For fpv you can use youre Blackbox data...
Nice work Mike
Great comparison thank you
Awesome Vid!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks man! 👍

I tend to crop in a few percent to quickly fix the crooked edges but yes, hope to see an update on that in RS2!
@@DroneSupremacy yes! really hoping to see some advanced features in a future reelsteady version
