Finally we are talking. As i commented in your first video of this product. I did not think you pushed it hard enough given I have one as well. For an FPV pilot like yourself; always fly in full manual mode if you don’t want to hate this drone. Awesome footage as usual.
What are your advanced camera settings? I looked at the video a few times to get it. Unlike your rates you wrote down on the screen. Suggestions, to write down your camera settings on the screen next time please. Cheers/Smiles
He's spot on for sure. I love that I can set all of my DJI gear mostly the same... D-cini, ND filters, 5800K WB, 30 or 60 FPS and 180 rule for shutter..... Makes color correction easier when I use more than one in a project.
@ 05:55 for the distortion correction. I actually keep it on for both goggles and aircraft. I was framing an epic bridge between 2 fjords in Norway and because I had it on aircraft only the view inside the goggles was wider so I framed the shot accordingly. When I looked at the footage on the computer, I saw that I cut out the far ends of the bridge because the image was cropped in. I was fairly new to flying the FPV at that point so I didn't think of it. So I turn it on for both when I shoot cinematic stuff and I put it on aircraft only when I just fly acro for fun. That's my 2 cents. It's just gonna help you frame the shots better.
Thanks a lot for sharing Mike, really, really helpful. The only small piece I would add is to avoid touching Saturation and EV settings in Manual mode in order to get the most flat profile possible to play later in post. Other than that, perfect. And thank you for sharing your PIDs as well, I am having exactly the same issues you described before modifying yours. All the best my friend.
The starting video was the best Ive ever seen on here. Your flying was absolutely flawless. Editing was perfect, geography was stunning to say the least! IMHO, the beginning video is an example of perfection!
But I've been enjoying all of the negative reviews from people comparing this to a custom acrobatic racing quad... I'm not ready for an honest review about what this drone is actually designed for...
@@FlydreamMedia mine arrives today with the motion controller 🤣🚀 I'm new to FPV so the training wheel features and perfectly adequate capabilities of this drone will serve me well.
What do you mean there’s actually a manual for it, the QuickStart guide that came with mine takes about 30 seconds to read, everything else I’ve learnt on here. Need to get me that manual
That intro was brilliant! had to watch it again and eat some popcorn🍿😎 you gave great tips about settings and that props showing on video and how to get rid of it. best video about DJI FPV! great Mike! now im sure that i will buy it soon!
4:50 - If you lose your drone in the sea, at least you'll have the video of it............ Great opening sequence Mike! Glad you're having fun! Cheers! Ian
@ 06:35 Image roll correction should only be used in normal and sport mode when you try to do smooth cinematic filming. Always turn off in manual. It's not only the crop that changes but it will try to apply stabilization when you do rolls left and right in manual mode making footage very blurry and can make you sick if you spin around a lot doing flips. Basically it tries to fake a 3 axis gimbal like on the Mavic. I didn't really know what this setting was until I saw in another video. :)
Footage looked great Mike! Excellent location for this video....Not sure how far you had to drive to get there? But, man...that would be my 'Go-To' spot if it was within a reasonable driving distance from my home. Excellent color-grade! Those orange/tan colors in those rocks looked great. Tell me it wasn't a bit nerve racking though with a brand new quad over those cliffs and ocean though. Nicely shot!
I wish they would allow you to set individual camera settings to Auto and some to manual like with Mavics. (eg. Auto ISO, Manual shutter) This would help when you're flying in changing lighting environments.
You said that lower rates in the gain & expo settings will result in smoother movements but the ones you suggest in the description are lower only in the center sensitivity column from 200 to 140. The max rate was increased from 420 to 550 and the expo from 0.54 to 0.60 compared to the default settings. Aren’t max rate and expo settings related with the stick sensitivity and responsiveness?
Thanks for the video. When following the steps I ran into a problem in my settings. Some options are highlighted while others are dark. I wasn't able to turn on things like EIS because the I cant toggle to it, and the writing is darker than the other setting options. Im just a beginner. Thank you.
Very good video i own the DJI FPV for few month, but now i am at the stage where i need to setup everything to my own style, so your video is very helpful i did watch before, but i was so beginner so i had no idea on my style.
I just set mine to all of yours lol... do you use MP4 or MOV? Maybe you said and I missed it. I recorded for my first time today. Still have a lot to learn. The MP4 format made the video size huge. Thanks for the vid..
Got my ND filters in yesterday and the drone in today. Batts are charged. I plan to put it in the air tomorrow :) My question is that if I am in acro and want to go to sport mode to land in a nice smooth hover while framing a subject is it going to jerk or will I need to enter the hover and switch it then. Also, while flying with the distortion correction on and viewing it in wide angle is there a crop box to show you your framing? That would be nice because I too would be filming it cropped but would want to fly with the wide view. Good video. Thanks.
Just got mine yesterday... And man, just practicing on the simulator.. Manual mode is soooooo hard. Really appreciate these insane shots a lot more now :D Cheer!
Thanks for sharing this. We are wondering why the footage looks so unsatisfactory. Is there any possibility to set the camera to a configuration to grade it well in the post? it looks like it has a way to less dynamic range and over-sharpness. Can you share ur experiences u made so far? Thanks, bruh.
Awesome video Mike! Appreciate your experience and thorough overview of the camera settings. Just got my FPV from DJI today. So excited to get into the field and fly the DJI version of FPV flight.
Have you tried the motion controller yet? or is it a gimmick? Wondering if its easier to fly for a newbie. THe rates you adjust would they also apply to the motion controller?
every time I talk about this video, it's pure adrenaline for me. I wanted to ask you after some time if the rates have always remained those indicated by you at the end of the video. thanks and a warm greeting.👏🥂
Very nice intro and informative video. I want to make videos at night and I'd like to know if you have a basic camera setting to start with. Thank you!
Beautiful Do you find you can use the adjustable camera in flight smoothly for reveal shots ? Also what was your camera angle for the water flying ? It was just right for those shots
You recording this on a Pocket 2? the shirt is causing a teriable Moire pattern on my computer screen. But nice demo mine get here tomorrow but I don’t think I will be in manual very soon!
I just tried the FPV and it seemed like some of the Advanced Camera Settings were greyed out. i could not access - EIS, or Distortion Correction at least. Thoughts?
OMG! Thank you so much, just bought this drone last week and my first problem was the shutterspeed and brightness. You can't get cinematic shots without ND filters and the first thing I thought in this video, WTF??? ND Filters ?? They just released the drone last week. I ordered directly some NDs and this is not a payed comment. Thank you, finally I'm sure I will not send my drone back and practice more to get some cinematic shots for my next project 👍👍👍
Very good. I would have a question: when i export my mavic edits in youtube quality is very good but nor for dji fpv although i use same edit soft UA-cam degrades so much quality...do you know why?

I have an issue with my video playback. After looking at my video i notice a jerky video playback. It will play smooth then just suddenly freeze then play then freeze then skip and play again. Ive tried playing from my computer or my phone but it's still jumpy. Any ideas on how to fix that?
Drop a like for the intro if you have enjoyed it! 🤙🏻
Do you have any idea of what size is the image sensor of this fpv? Is like a mavic air 2 or smaller?

Stop making these good videos Mike. You’re suppose to hate this thing and throw it out the window by now. Beautiful work as always.
I have to admit I didn’t like it on my first flight but it’s starting to grow on me. It definitely has its place. Thanks man 🙌🏼

Never thought I'd ever be interested in FPV but with this drone's outstanding features, I' just know it's time for a cinematic adventure!
This is what I was waiting for. Someone who’s testing it for footage. Great video and great edit. Cheers!
Great video! I am planning to make a video like that, but the blades are showing in the video, how did you make it not show?

But I've been enjoying all of the negative reviews from people comparing this to a custom acrobatic racing quad... I'm not ready for an honest review about what this drone is actually designed for...
@@joegee1699 I own it. Its for fun. I haven't even entered manual mode.

Great seeing this drone's full cinematic potential! DJI sure sets the standard in cinematic shooting.
Set a standard in price too. 1300 with one battery😳🙄🖕

This is what this drone is made for, fast cinematics, not ripping that much....
Totally agree! 😊👍
Slow cinematics, not fast
Agree bro, cant withstand the risk of crashing this 1200$ bird

How's your dji fpv now? I got one last year ago and I didn't crash it yes because I'm only using motion controller, it's awesome and fun to use...
I wish they would allow you to set individual camera settings to Auto and some to manual like with Mavics. (eg. Auto ISO, Manual shutter) This would help when you're flying in changing lighting environments.
Needs a quick exposure lock button like the mavic air 2
Lock iso auto shutter

Hi can this drone also take pictures and panoramas and hyperlapse?
No
When I record it only records up to 3:17 then it starts a new recording. I have to stitch it in post edit.
Any ideas why?
That's perfectly normal and happens to everyone, the camera divides the files to 4GB blocks for easier data writing.

You were mentioning you camera settings with the ND filters. What is missing is the frame rate that you use. Is it 50 or 60?
60!
My fji fpv drone is not recording sound, how can I solve it?
In my experience. You could mount a GoPro if you want audio on your footage or enable audio in the setting
