- In this video, we'll be ranking the best decks for our next set- pokemon 151 out September 22nd. Today, I give my early thoughts in a tierlist, which will hopefully help you make the most of your Pokemon TCG gameplay.
We'll be covering both old and new decks, as 151 offers plenty of upgrades for existing lists. We'll also be looking at some tried-and-true favorites like Mew VMAX, Gardevoir ex, and the many variants of Lost Box. So gear up, get your thumbs ready, and let's get into the next Gen 9 set.
don't like my opinions and want to make your own list?

🥹 me when you called yourself a Lugia Bot. Makes me newly converted Lugia heart so happy!
Happy to join the club 🫡
Thinking of running Palkia VSTAR and Miraidon ex as my main decks thanks to their respective League Battle Decks. (Miraidon's isn't out yet but you get the idea.) Meowscarada and Goodra are for when I'm in the mood for fun rouge decks since they can't really keep up with some meta decks. Especially poor Goodra's matchup against Giratina.
What can the Palkia/Chien-Pao deck do to defend itself against Miraidon?
Bravery Charms. You can also look for them to miss a beat. One bad match-up does not scare a deck out of the format. They all have at least one.
@@goonsquadtcg thanks for the inspiration :) I have enjoyed my Palkia deck and it’s a bit unnerving seeing strong electric decks becoming popular, but I’m trying to stick with it
Is there a reason for the skip over TinaLZB and OgreLZB?
You mean briefly mentioning them or an editing mistake? I skipped over them because they're mostly unchanged quantities. I could talk Tina for hours. I'm also working on LZ Kyogre videos
this is a mundane detail but I have a case study that has a way to play Venusaur ex that makes it tier 2 but its longevity gameplan makes my deck version sustainable but...will not be top tier or s tier.
I really hope it works. I like to think my tier list is not definitive, but helps simplify and paint a picture of what to expect by most in the meta. Venusaur on paper just has some underwhelming stats. It's HP is terrific. The ability lends itself to some cool plays when we get more cards (could even function with what we have). I just ranked it low as I didn't see how it currently competes with the higher up decks. I would love hear what you're cooking up. I want a reason to make it playable 🥳
Huge idea since i kept looking at cardsss....Porygons conversion 4 attack is very very enticing. Not just for Venusaur but for a lot of decks that need that damage boost.a little clunky...but idk...its brewing ideas.
no tier S ?
No. I think your top decks are all on equal footing. Each is good, but generally, have a good weakness
