- Sometimes, bowlers can be legends on the lanes but let's look at some moments where things really didn't go their ways. Make sure you comment down below what kinds of videos I should make next!

Hi everyone! It would be greatly appreciated if you would consider supporting my channel here! www.buymeacoffee.com/bowlingplanet
I love when you see opponents react the same as if they had a bad split in a clutch moment. They understand the pain. Even casual players feel the pressure. It hurts.
3:03 I don't think I've ever seen Norm throw it that hard, he put so much into that
One thing about Del Ballard Jr at 5:30. I watched that shot on TV. Next week, he was again bowling for the championship and needed just a few pins in the 10th to lock up the championship. He turns to the crowd and says "Guess where this one's going. Straight down the middle." And that was exactly how he threw it. Straight and hard and right at the head pin for the win. He learned his lesson.
These are literally perfect shots being denied by unluckiness.
Stone 8 pins are bad breaks. Stone 9 pins (for a righthander) are bad shots.
@@rowlffffff They are? I thought stone 9s were just the result of the ball hitting the pins at too sharp of an angle. Or am I remember that wrong?
Kenneth Miner Was it because of this video or did you already know that Tom said that to Randy?
Nah most theyre hitting too much head pin or not enough the pretty bad shots ngl
Kenneth Miner uhm yea its hitting too much at the wrong angle
2:30 is easily one of the most iconic moments in PBA history by far and is ridiculous
5:58 "Oh my god that's a loser!" that got a good laugh out of me. dang man that's bit harsh don't you think?
That was the best part of the vid lol 😂😂 I've never heard ANYONE say that!
I think Randy rather meant it as a "category" of the throw, similar to winner in tennis, not that WRW is a loser
@@151bar151 yeah, but it's funnier if you don't think of the way he actually meant it.
2:33 When you answered all the questions on the front side
2:37 There's more on the back
YOU KIDDING ME
2:33 That's one of the rarest thing I've ever seen.
I would have been ready to fight that 8 pin
Thats screwed up. I mean I have a 205 average. But never seen a pin slide over and stand and I've bowled a lot of games. I have seen a pin flip in the air and land standing up thou
I had once 2 pins move and they went into the machine like nothim happened...
@@ryanscheatzle5904 I don't know what's more impressive, seeing a pin fly and land perfectly or NOT seeing a pin slide after all your career
I once had a 7 pin slide all the way over to the 9 pin.
I haven’t bowled for years but you still feel the adrenalin and disappointment just watching these. Great compilation.
I didn't know I need to see this but I'm really glad someone took the time to put it together. Thanks a lot!
2:24 "that was all the stone 8/9 clips I could find"
Next clip: solid 8
7.5 pin actually 😂
Gbowl_300X I mean to be fair it wasn't a solid &
It was a sliding 8 LOL
Gbowl_300X “stone”
That was was one of the worst breaks ever in Obama’s history
2:08 I didn't know Bob Ross was a bowler
I havent gotten to that part yet but its def Kyle Troup
Cursed_Miatata My dad and I were watching matches back to back and every time he came around we just kept cracking hair jokes 😂
That's definitely not a happy little tree at the end of that lane...
3:26 as a mechanic at a bowling alley I always tell people it’s that damn deck spray 😂😂. (Deck spray makes the pins stick to the floor better so pins don’t fall so easy) it
Deck spray is for lazy lane maintenance folks who don't wash down the pin deck....
Mika Koivuniemi missing the 10-pin at the 68th US Open still hurts to watch. I was happy to see Norm Duke win again, but I was also heartbroken for Major Mika. This was his best season, and that pesky 10-pin screwed him over for a second time (the first was at the 2011 Tournament of Champions just a month or two before this one, where he got robbed of a perfect game in a _major_ during the semifinal match against Tom Daugherty’s 100 game). He still got 2011 PBA Player of the Year, though.
It is still painful to watch for me as well. I felt so bad for him when I saw it the first time.
I am a bowler myself and I had days like that sometimes lol! :) regardless I love bowling a lot! I bowl for both Womens league and Special Olympics!
Of course! There are bad days but it's the good ones that we live for and fight the bad ones for!
I bowl on Special Olympics as well. What's your high score in bowling from the day you first started playing till now? Mine is a 243
@@pokemondude3305 mine is 214 my highest bowling score so far!
@@pokemondude3305 225. My next game, immediately after , was a 92. >:(
@@6yjjk Damn! That sucks
"Call a medic, I can't take any more solid eights."
Uh....
I can feel these solid 8's and 9's like a punch in the ball bag.
2:28 that hurts
Yeah, especially how close the 8 pin was to falling...
And also how he was trying desperately to get back into the match
That was pure qm
These are honestly my favorite videos to watch, keep it up!
Norm Duke: leaves solid 8
Also Norm Duke: *sniffles aggressively*
3:17 wHAAaT
Castle Head Cams 😂😂😂
Tom Daughtery during the PBA League calling out to Randy was hilarious. XD
*OMG THAT'S A LOSER* 🤣🤣🤣
5:58. No! Oh My God that’s a loser!
Come on Randy
My (drunk af) dad was there somewhere bottom right corner lmao, said that nobody would get in the elevator w Walter Ray after he lost cause he was so irate
@@taywoodz after that I can totally see why but that comment by Randy was seriously messed up but at the same time I'm not going to lie pretty funny LOL
0:16
this hurts sooo bad to watch! I can feel the pain
Solid 8
Solid 9
At 2:30 that’s a solid 8 becoming a ringing 7. What even was that?!?
Clips 2&3, I feel their pain. Ten years ago a solid 9-pin in the 9th cost me a 300. Grrrrr.
I appreciate you zooming up on what they need
I asked my high school bowling coach one day during practice. What does it take to bowl well? Skill or luck? His answer: BOTH. You can hit the pocket 500 times in a row. But, you will not have 500 strikes.
5:51 Everytime my parents see me leave my room
yikes
If it makes you feel any better, the woman that gave me my life told me I should go ahead and end it
I don’t get it.
TheBlueSlime 5:57 is a better timestamp
These are very entertaining to watch! Make more
Of course I will!
Just shows us that even the professionals are human just like us amateurs!
I know nothing about bowling, but this edit is amazing lol
@ 5:32 every time I watch this tears shoot out. I can relate.
Lol been there done that in league.
5:18 what would YOU call this leave in bowling? I normally call it the "UltraWash" or "Ultra Wash Out".
If y’all thought that eighth in becoming a seven pin was bad you should’ve seen what happened at the bowling alley I work at. I am a mechanic and I was just clocking out win from the front desk I see someone hit high on the headpin the three pin kicks off the sideboard and slide the six pin all the way over to the seven spot. The seven pin was already knocked over so the six just took residence. These were on Brunswick fiber decks and we have seen plenty of out of ranges because of the slippery ass decks. I must tell you though the six becoming the seven pin is the craziest shit I’ve ever seen.
Wasn't there a _candlepin_ shot where the 5 replaced the 10?
2:00 *"AAAAAAAAAAAH"*
Your pic matches it!
I have seen a rare 2-6-8-10 split by a few bowlers. A 2-8-10 split is common. It does happen for a 2-6-8-10 split and converting a spare is very slim.
2:11 Belmonte 😳💔
The first clip is just hilarious lmao
I’ve had the 5 pin slide over to the 7 spot and stand, and end a streak at 6 strikes in a row.
Stone 8’s makes me doubt what a strike is anymore.
Thumbnail change POGGERS. Also, 3k more subs 'til 20k!!
4:26 Belmo converted that same leave in the 10th today to win the U.S open :p
0:21 “I DON’T BELIEVE IT!” (X3)
I remember the last one very well
Great new thumbnail
the 8 to 7 after all the solids, wow.
3:18 “WHAT???” Lol😂🤣
5:25 This is me every bowl
How do you only have 200 subscribers that’s crazy, you have great content lol
It's alright, the subs will be coming in soon
literally it's been one week and we at 500 subs, i'll remember this comment at 1000
Bowling Planet and you deserve it sooo much. They are all bingeable videos
@@Bowling_Planet do you remember it at 29k?
Are there any bowlers that actually just bowl straight without spinning ? Or is spinning just an easier way to get strikes like the technique ?
Putting spin on the ball helps it maintain course and not get deflected too much as it rolls through the pins.
Sorta like how a golfer puts spin on a shot to counter a strong wind.
I remember one video of someone getting a strike only for one of the pins to stand right back up.
The FEELS...
1:52 Tom: That was for you, Randy! They said i couldn't do it again! 😎😎
Randy: Someone call the medic! I cannot take any solid eight! 😂😂
Yeah, I'm sure it would take a while to go through some of the other videos I sent to find the stone 8s lol
3:40 duke wasnt happy about that
But Norm is always a gentleman.
Am i the only one who heard someone say "ah!" When he threw it?
That was Duke 😂
@@Bowling_Planet Ohhhh...im so stupid 😂
2:04 how the he’ll do you curve like that
First probably a really aggressive ball. Then starting way left, aim center and putting enough spin on it.
Mainly the type of ball and oil patterns, and of course form lol
5:58 me when the school bully sees me in the hall 😂
At 5:17, Page did knock down a 2-5-6-8 pins but leave a 1-3-4-7-9-10 pins standing.
The announcers' reactions are the real thing here. LOL
Is this what my life has now come too, watching bowling videos..
Who said that was a bad thing? 😄
Wait this tells me that what question I would say so the question is even how is it impossible to unbreak the bowling ball at the 1st bowling pin for the contest???
You are absolutely right.
0:18 the bad break we still have to hear about 20+ years later...
Top 5 unbelievable match comebacks (ex: haugen v Barnes TOC)
Colin Barton Idea considered!
The invisible Barney Rubble was lurking

You need to find Don Genalo in the 1983 Southern California Open. Greek Church. Five out. Lose by 2.
Yo can you do a belmo compilation with the song Roxanne? I would really love it as the song fits many compilations of different sports really well
I'm not a song person so I don't know what song you're talking about 😂 Please name the title and artist 😂
Bowling Planet Roxanne by Arizona Zervas
Possible video idea for January or February! Thanks!
Nice throw
My last league I’ve been always having nine pins in. It drove me crazy.
there is a particular signification when de 8 or 9 pin stay up ? like it is uncommon ?
I just had a stone 8 yesterday. Give video one million views.
This determines who enters the next round- robin, am I wrong?
3:10 is the fastest I’ve ever seen Norm throw a ball
Right? 😂
I freaking love Norm Duke!!!!!!
I have been told by former touring player that Ernie Schlegel was disliked by everyone on the tour.
1:05 Norm was sizing that 8 pin up boi
2:31 THAT shit was truly wild
I’d like to know how that happens.
Easily in the top 3 most iconic moments in PBA Bowling History
Your doctor when you were born 5:58
2:05 What's this? Bob Ross is bowling now? Guess the whole painting bit got old.
My life in one video.
Why am I watching this at 3:16am on a school Monday
0:04 I Need That Instrumental Of Your Highness

"Now the governor has given a stay of execution"
These folks take their bowling very, very seriously!
The hell is a Stay of Execution?
@@NateCraven318 Postponing (and *maybe* calling off altogether) the execution because some new info has come to light that could break open the case.
We play league skittles in Great Britain and a 'flopper' (what you call a 'strike') is a rare beast!
I'm in the UK. Skittles is a small version of this that children play. I play league BOWLING and get strikes often
@@tegusnakegaming1441 You would be welcome to see our team in action Chris. (I'm Captain of 'Wessex Plus' Div 3 Yeovil Sports Skittle League) I'm not too sure of our average age, but we're certainly not children.
@@Beatlefan67 is it a smaller version of the video or is it actually ten pin Bowling?
@@tegusnakegaming1441 Nine pin Chris. ua-cam.com/video/YdFeFKlnBDw/v-deo.html
Take a look at that video - it's not our league btw. It does generally involve drinking a lot of beer, but once on the alley it can get serious!
I remember the Randy Peterson robbery. Ernie Schagle is the guy running around. It was here in my hometown of Pittsburgh and they had the tournament at my home lanes. (The Tv finals were somewhere else) I know Ernie was happy because he wasn't supposed to compete let alone win the whole tournament but his celebration over an unlucky shot was a bit over the top.
That and he started out as a bowling hustler…
2:33 When the teacher gives us more homework to do over the weekend.
More like 4:11 xD
Is it possible to get every pin except the front one?
It's hard, but yes it is possible
Nobody:
Bowling announcer: “Muhammad Ali!”
That was the player which makes it even stranger
I can honestly say I've never seen a pro leave 1-3-4-7-9-10 before.
I love everybody's facepalm after it happened
A lot of these have to be the most frustrating things in bowling.
5:08 really do be Nate Robinson
I had this exact thing happen to me in a tournament. Perfect flush shot and the 8 pin scoots over into the 7 pin spot. How tf?!
The crowd: *ooooohhhh, AUHHHHHGHHHHH*
Commentator's curse at 1:35
the old bits and pieces shot at 5:15
My favorite bowling ball is the ice storm bowling balls
Superb 275
1:53 I love the Atom Splitter Dexter shirts with the chemical makeups
Anyone can say that one pin is glued
