Remington said they would be danged if they were gonna get sued over their triggers again. a Timney problem now. I bet half of what you pay for a Timney goes to liability insurance premium.
Just picked up my Rem 700 CDL today that came with the Timney. I'll save you some time. Its a hot garbage. breaks at a sloppy 4.5 pounds and isn't adjustable. This is obviously a made for remington or made under licence bare minimum trigger. Timney should be emberassed.
Just do what I did. I bought the Rem 700 PCR chambered in 260 back in 2020. It came with the XMark Pro that said it was adjustable to from 2 - 5 lbs. Well with the adjustment screw all the way out at the lightest setting was a smooth, LOL, 6 lbs. I changed it out to a Timney Elite Hunter. It advertised 1.5 - 4 lbs. It would actually go below 1.5 but I set it there. It is a wonderful trigger and it made the rifle. It is now a pleasure to shoot. Especially at the range.
I’m excited there doing that. But I wish they made a lefty.
I’m almost chapped I had to buy my timney aftermarket now
I just purchased a Remington 700 on December 9, 2023. How do I know for sure it has a Timney trigger?
You can see the "T" logo on the safety switch. Or remove the stock and it'll say Timney on the side of the trigger.
M700 Timney safeties are VERY LOUD!
Should have adjustable at 1 pound and up
But they arnt making any left handed models so that's a no from me

@@kx5e The fact that Timney stamped their name on this pile pretty much steered me away from their products. I upgraded to a trigger tech.
Ahh, I was wondering why mine was missing the adjustment screw.
