      @@iamjajad27 Alright, thanks for the video!
      You get two Zwangsbremsungen from PZB, one when leaving Köln Ehrenfeld, the other at the last signal when entering Köln Hbf.
      Ad 1: Immediately when leaving Köln Ehrenfeld, there is a sign showing a black "7" on a yellow triangle. This is a Zs 3v sign, announcing a reduction in speed limit to 70 km/h (that happens about 1,000 meters further on). This needs to be acknowledged by pressing the PZB Acknowledge key the same way as a "yellow" signal, and will then give you a 1,000-Hz monitoring. You didn't acknowledge, so you got this Zwangsbremsung.
      Ad 2: The signal shows green over yellow on the main signal (Hp2), slowing you down to (generally) 40 km/h, and green over yellow diagonally on the distant signal (Vr2) plus Zs 3v "4", announcing another 40 km/h limit on the next signal. The Vr2 needs to be acknowledged by pressing the PZB Acknowledge key. I can see that you did press the PZB Acknowledge key, but still the train didn't register it properly. Maybe you didn't let go of the key in time? If you have trouble timing the acknowledge, keep pressing and releasing the key with a moderate frequency when passing the signal, until the yellow 1,000-Hz indicator lights up.

      @@tygerways6615 thank you for your comments. so i am doing the right speed but the problem was i didnt acknowledge the 1st signal (Ad 1) and then 2nd signal didnt detect my pzb ack ( Ad 2)
      Questions
      Ad 1 - even if im going the right speed or even below it i should still always acknowledge the signal?
      Ad 2 - when should i press acknowledge? i generally press it after passing the signal.. or do i press and hold it before the signal then release after passing it?

    • @tygerways6615
      @tygerways6615  5 місяців тому

      @@iamjajad27 Ad 1: Yes that's right. even if you are already going the announced speed, you have to acknowledge the signal (for limits up to 70 km/h always).
      Ad 2: The receiver underneath the train needs to have passed the magnet at the signal before you can acknowledge, and you have to let go of the key again for the acknowledge to register. I usually press and let got (so not merely tap, but also not holding it down either) the acknowledge key as soon as the signal is out of view. If the yellow lamp doesn't light up when I let go of the key, I repeat. If you are not sure of the timing, just press and let go repeatedly when passing the signal, to get a feel for it.

    A question regarding the PZB when speed change is 8 & 9. Did I understand it correctly that, as long as you are cruising between 80-95km/h for speed decrease to 8(80) and 90-105km/h for speed decrease to 9(90), I don't have to acknowledge the PZB?
    BUT, if I was exceeding the speedlimit of max. 15km of these two limits I'd have to acknowledge the PZB?
    Also, if I am leaving a station or driving below 80 or 90, and I pass a sign that indicates speed decrease to 8/9, I'd also have to acknowledge the PZB?
    Hope this wasn't too much! 😃

    • @tygerways6615
      @tygerways6615  Місяць тому +1

      This first statement is definitely correct. In those cases you won't get a penalty brake if you don't acknowledge. In those cases there will be an arrangement of magnets in the track (quite like the GPA's, there is a video about them on the channel too) that checks your speed and only keeps the 1,000-Hz magnet active if you are faster than 15 km/h above the announced limit. You might want to acknowledge anyway, just to make sure and in case there is a malfunction, but you should NOT get a 1,000-Hz monitoring if you are slow enough and will subsequently NOT have to slow down to whatever speed (80/65/50 km/h) your PZB mode requires. So this is especially helpful if you are running in PZB M or even PZB U.
      The second statement is probably a misunderstanding. The 15 km/h-rule for 8 or 9 reductions applies regardless of whether you are leaving a station or not. When starting your train after a stop, you might be still under a monitoring that started before you stopped, though, and that might even have turned into a restricted monitoring (there is also a video about this on the channel) because of the stop. So you will have to comply with whatever monitoring is still running.

    So, for the Talent 2, I went back to TSW2020 to get that platinum. 😅🙈 I am cruising through the Rapid Transit because it “only" has 64 services to get most of the trophies (this is on PS5). Is the tempomat available on TSW2020 or was this first released for TSW2?

    • @tygerways6615
      @tygerways6615  Місяць тому

      I couldn't tell, unfortunately, especially for PS5. I think the tempomat has been there from the start, but I am totally not sure, especially not for the Rapid Transit Version (Baureihe 1442). Let us know when you have found out! :)

    • @MS-yd4oj
      @MS-yd4oj Місяць тому +1

      @@tygerways6615 Okey, so I found out how the tempomat functions on Rapid Transit Talent 2 on TSW2020 (on TSW2 it's the same as in your video here, albeit on PS5 you have to manually engage it by looking at the button on the dash and pressing it. No shortcut button made! 😭).
      On TSW2020 however, you still have to engage it by looking at the dash and manually pressing it, but it will only lock it to that speed. You can't increase or decrease the speed while tempomat is engaged. So it's more of a fixed cruise control button.

    So cool to hear some one who actually knows how the train and signals work. In this game is there a hotkey for the tempomat on off switch? I tried to find it and was unsucessful.

    • @tygerways6615
      @tygerways6615  Рік тому

      Thank you! There is a keyboard shortcut for toggling the tempomat on and off on (e.g.) the DB BR 442. You find it listed in the Settings / Controls / Keyboard Controls menu labeled "Cruise Control Switch Toggle / Increase". In my layout, I assigned the "Home" key to it, but the default setting might be different.
      After toggling on the tempomat, you can increase or decrease the target speed with the "Cruise Control Increase" and "Cruise Control Decrease" hotkeys (in my layout "R" and "F"). Mind, that the default layout might use combinations of SHIFT and a letter key for the aforementioned binds, so they can be hard to find just by trying.

      Without knowing the exact circumstances, I can't tell you for sure what went wrong unfortunately.
      Possible causes might be that the acknowledge was too early (the receiver mounted underneath the loco/train needs some distance to actually pass the magnet in the track) or the key was not pressed long enough (sometimes the game doesn't register if the key is only "tapped").
      Always make sure that the yellow 1000 Hz lamp turns on (or turns off and on again, for repeated monitorings), then you can be sure that the acknowledge has been registered. Acknowledge repeatedly if necessary.

      @@tygerways6615 ua-cam.com/video/dSP-WEwLwxY/v-deo.html I think I approached the signal too fast, I thought PZB gave you a chance to slow down in time.

    • @tygerways6615
      @tygerways6615  2 роки тому

      @@MrGrumpygit488 Ah, that was something else. From what I can see, you got hit by a 2,000 Hz magnet belonging to a GPA (Geschwindigkeitsprüfabschnitt) overspeed control that has nothing to do with acknowledging a 1,000 Hz monitoring (quite similar to the OSS in the British TPWS). I will cover GPA in a different video soon. Tl;dr: The flashing green signal that you passed at 0.33 in your video ordered you not to approach the next main signal with a speed faster than 100 km/h. A short while later, the GPA checked if you slowed down enough (what you apparently didn't, so you got the penalty brake). So you are right, you approached too fast.
      For the logical concept of overspeed control while just approaching a speed limit, see: ua-cam.com/video/_99Dr7fzpB0/v-deo.html (for the KVB system). The GPA picks one point out of the braking curve (certain speed at a certain distance) and controls it, without giving a warning.
