Nice looking car with good balance of tech and specifications without overdoing it and pushing up the prices. Be great to see these available more widely around the world.
Totally agree. Looking forward to test driving it
definitely my next car when it comes out
I'm looking forward to driving it!
I'm surprised how many Chinese cars have such nice interiors. Combination of black and red was really cool.
Thanks for the comment Jörgen. I agree!
1st to watch this well presented video, packed with useful information…! :)
Thanks very much Andrew!
Beautiful looking car!
Would you have it over a Tesla Model 3?
Informative review as always Derek. Thanks! Any word on Xpeng coming/not coming to Ireland?
Eventually coming I hope. UK market is too small too ignore and we'll piggyback on that.
Excellent review. Makes model 3 look dated. Looking forward to Tesla v Chinese price war.
Thanks Adrian. It's getting very interesting
@@NevoEVReviewIreland It really looks super modern and also much longer wider than Tesla!!
Looks like a stunning car! I can't wait to see the likes of these on sale in Ireland. I'd say they'd fly off the shelves.
Hopefully Richard. Price will tell
Shelves?
Good review nice car it'll be something I'd look at to buy, due to being new on the market it'd be interesting to see what their like in the long term... re-sale value etc
For sure will be interesting but the same Tesla when they started. With such demand for EVs.
Great video chief,
When due reckon they'll hit the green ilse 🇮🇪
No idea, I'd expect UK announcement first. Rhd manufacturing is the big point unfortunately
Looks georgous!
Agree! Thanks for the comment
7:45 I felt you will hit the glass roof with your elbow while you was sitting in the back seat.
7:35 Also your head was so close to the glass roof , so if there is any pump in the road you might get trauma.
Thanks for the comment and observations. I felt that the space was good in the back. I had to use my right arm to open the armrest as I was holding the camera so it looked more awkward than it needed to be. I thought headroom was decent too.
What are the flashing red dots on the top part of the steering wheel? Is that an artifact from your camera or something else? Thanks.
Thanks for the question. It's the ir sensors for driver attention. Not visible to the human eye. Only shows up on camera.
Wow, what a discrete place to put it.
@@relax-ie3mp Very, only spotted it when I was editing it
Given it's only slightly more expensive than the Model 3 LR, it seems like a much better deal.
Competition will hopefully be a good thing for us consumers
Nice review! What do you think of P7 vs ET5? NIO’s ET5 is probably a closer competitor to P7 than Model 3. M3 after the price cuts is closer to BYD Seal price segment.
I'm looking forward to properly comparing both the Nio and Xpeng
It looks better on the inside to the model 3 for me. But with tesla prices being lowered, can it compete.
This is another example of how China is "motoring" ahead of legacy car makers. Interestng times ahead..
Great insight.
Thanks
Des
Thanks Des. A run and gun style look around so really looking forward to spending some time with it driving and a better understanding of living with it.
This is substantially longer and wider than Model 3. It looks super modern and makes Tesla looks very dated.
Lovely car. I think they got the screens sizes just right on the dash. Chinese are definitely serious players in the EV market.. Hope the exist western manufacturers can up their games to meet this challenge.
Up there game and lower their premium prices
Are they gonna make it in RHD for the UK/Irish market ???
Probably chuck on around 10k for the Irish pricing ..........(thanks illegal VRT)
I'd be confident once they hit the UK market, it will hit Ireland soon after
@@NevoEVReviewIreland just seen the announcement that MDL are taking on BYD for Ireland........the Seal looks very interesting!
Am I the only one think this car looks like the model 3 on the outside? Even the door handles are the same type! When you open the door, the armrest on the door mimics the model 3 as well. Coincidence?
Potentially 😉
Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
Look similar but imao, better. I prefer it to Tesla.
It's an ok car. But why bother telling us about it if its never going to come here and what we're the purple flashing lights on the steering wheel for?
Thanks SharonEC. I think it will come to the market here just not today or tomorrow. Lights are driver attention infrared sensors. Are not visible to the human eye, only on video
If it was a hatchback it'd be perfect 👌
Thanks Nick. Like the Nio!
@@NevoEVReviewIreland I like the look of the upcoming VW ID7
Full review on the 17th of the month
@@NevoEVReviewIreland I'll look forward to it.
Derek, good review - very nice car but not for me. Eamon
Thanks Eamon. Won't be for everyone for sure.
I think these brand of cars will affect the likes of kia, hyundai, etc ev's.. .. In my opinion kia & hyundai pulled a bit of a stroke charging so much for their ev's and these brands... mg etc will pull back the price of them... Don't think it'll do any harm to the vw brand.. Fords etc.. But depending on ire pricing I think these car will be a hit here... I for one will be looking at them in the future.
Definitely price will make a difference
Should have been a hatchback
Maybe a future version will be!
Too expensive to be a Chinese Start up. This price is ok for a Tesla, wich has a history in the electric vehicles market. This xpeng is not a viable alternative
Time will tell if consumers will pay the price Geremy. Thanks for the comment
