Loved the ice luminaries! Definitely going to make them with my grandkids! 🕯️❤️
I hope it went well! We've had a hard time maintaining any as the cold weather has not come to stay yet!
What a beautiful idea with the ice 🙌🏼 love the footage of the stars as well! Those candied fruit look simple yet delicious & I hope your fruit cake was yummy! ❤
Well...the fruitcake was pretty darn Yummy! We think we might make another for the winter ;). I'm so glad. you enjoyed the episode and happy new year!
I love love love your crocheted blanket Sarah! And thanks for the introduction to Lisa Chemery's designs...I just found out I have a grandchild, arriving in June...time to get knitting those wee sweet things I've had in my Favorites bundle for forever...just awaiting such news. 🥰
Whoa! Congratulations! I'm so happy for the family. Definitely time to get knitting ;) Such an adventure awaits!
I Loved the ice luminaries! I may try this in January when it's hopefully colder. The mittens where adorable too. Thanks for all you do.
Colder is the operative word these days! Mine all melted and it hasn't been cold enough to keep any! Thank you for you kind comment and for tuning in!
Thank you so much for your beautiful video dear Sarah. What lucky children to have treasured hand knit pieces from a loving auntie! And what a lucky auntie to have them appreciate them. 🥰
Thanks for the book rec’s as well. The Advent and the Christmas Chronicles will be added to my book shelf soon. Take care!
Much love ,
Lisa 🎄
Dear Lisa, did you end up getting the Christmas Chronicles? I loved that book and I loved that it went through the 12 days of Christmas as well. I was sad to turn the year to be honest, the holidays are my favorite. As always thank you for your kind comment and for tuning in!
Frogginette is my favorite for children designs too. I have made several pairs of the speedy Selbu mittens. it is such a great pattern. Lovely video as always.
Turning of The Year is officially my favourite thing to watch on UA-cam. You capture the vibe of the season BEAUTIFULLY - whether ‘turning or spinng’. Love the ice luminaries!! The knits for the kiddos are amazing. See you next time!
Thank you Leanne!
Inspirational as always. A welcome respite during these busy days. 😊
❤❤❤
That was beautiful Sarah!! You are SO inspiring! Every episode you post is like a visit from Santa!!! 🎅🎄♥
Thank you for this beautiful video! A much appreciated treat, as always.
Thank you!
Sarah - this was so very lovely. 🧊🍃❤
Thank you ;)
Sarah - please can you include a quick demo of how you change colours in your crochet squares? I’m interested to see how you tackle that aspect of this project- - thank you so much!
I'm happy to do that BUT...I'm not a crocheter and results may vary. You may want to check out Erica Arndt's granny square tutorial which is the one I used. ;)
What a lovely episode! Turning of the Year are my absolute favorite - always full of inspiration and warmth. Thank you!!
Thank you! I'm so glad you find something inspiring here!
What the music at the beginning of your podcast? It was beautiful. Love all your projects. Just wait until Annie starts asking for knitted items. You will be busy!
It is a Gordon Lightfoot Song A Song for Winter's Night as sung by the Nancies. Haha! Don't even say that part out loud! Annie asking for her own knits! I can't say no!
Everything is beautiful and inspirational as always. So nice the young ones are appreciative! Did you ever get the Compass Rose quilt out for longarm finishing? Would love to see it .....nudge nudge wink wink!!! ❤
Dear Gail, I did get that back and I thought I blogged about it!!! Maybe it was just to patrons. I will try and remember to do a brief recap on my next quilt update!
@@FiberTrek That would be nice. Unfortunately not all of us are in a position at the moment to become patrons due to ongoing health issues....sigh....
I'm wondering what pattern did you use for the lovely mushroom hat?
That hat is the Charm of the Woodland Hat by Bunny Muff designs. It was a fun quick knit!
Hi! Would you please share the recipe for the fruitcake? Would be awesome !
You should absolutely treat yourself to The Christmas Chronicles by Nigel Slater, the book she references for the fruitcake recipe. That book is a feast for the senses and the heart and soul! I treasure my copy.
Dear Helen, I used a combination of recipes and research with some "bunging" stuff in that I had on hand. Nigel Slater's books is a great resource and I would highly recommend it. I did substitute dried wild blueberries for currents. I have no claim or proprietary rights on the recipe but you might try googling it to see if it comes up. Thank you for your interest and for reaching out. I hope you find a perfect fruitcake loaf recipe!
