- Friends, in accepting Holy Orders at a presbyteral ordination, a priest promises to conform his life to Christ, our high priest. And just as Christ took, blessed, broke, and gave away himself in the Eucharist, so too does he take, bless, break, and give away his priests to minister to his people.

I’ve attended several ordinations in my long life, but this is the most brilliant instruction I have ever heard.
This message is counter-cultural, and I wouldn't expect anything less from Bishop Barron. If only all our schools, colleges, and universities would send their young into the world with this powerful message, instead of 'follow your dreams; which we know so often leads to self-obsession, depression and disappointment...and a fractured, individualistic society. Thank God for Bishop Barron and his ministry.

I am at the UIC hospital with my daughter who had brain surgery. During this stay we have been blessed with three seminarians who have come to share the gospel, the Eucharist, and their journey. What a blessing to be in their presence and to know that men are hearing and accepting the call. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus gives me the courage and the strength I need to overcome any obstacles. As a single mom I’ve been struggling to support my children both are special needs. As I struggle to buy groceries and as I struggle to pay my bills Jesus has never left my side. There is always a miracle around the corner. Christianity is the Redemption of God Christ, it is the Triumph of the Resurrection, of the Word by decisive triumph of the best human creature, the spiritual Queen announced and described in Genesis, the Queen and her spiritual descendants, Holy Mary, Queen of Saints , who will oppose the serpent and his puppets
Christianity is the Civilization of the Family, of Goodness and of the spiritual order of Truth and Justice among the human creature during our earthly self-determinative test.
Young priest please become as Jesus. LET WOMEN BE A PART OF THE CHURCH. YOU SERVE GOD NOT FALSE MEN.
Catholicism is work salvation, please turn to Christ in faith as the Bible clearly says we are saved by grace which translates to CHARIS meaning "unmeritted favor/free gift." quite literally. There is a Reason why Paul says in Romans "for the wages of sin is death, but the FREE gift of God is eternal life through christ Jesus our lord." Again grace's literal translation in the Greek is "unmeritted favor/free gift." Salvation is completely free all you have to do is believe that what Jesus did for you 2000 years ago actually worked. He died as a substitute for sin on the cross for you and me because the penalty for sin is death, if the penalty has already been paid and "by grace you have saved through faith" then all you are doing is believing that his payment was for you, a.k.a excepting it and believing you have eternal life as a result of his finished work (and of course believing he rose from the dead as a dead savior can't save you.) The reason you cannot add a work to Christ's finished work is because as Paul makes clear in Romans 11:6 "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." You aren't under grace if you add something to the gospel because grace must be unmeritted for it to be attributed to you. Again, you are just trusting in what Christ already did for you, that's why in ephesians Paul says "after you believed, you were sealed with that holy spirit of promise, which is the GUARANTEE of our inherentance until the redemption of the purchased possession." Paul can't use the word guarantee here if salvation is partially based off of something you do, as obviously YOU can fail in your efforts meaning there is obviously no guarantee. But if it is entirely based off of what Christ did, then there is a guarantee.
My Advice to Young Priests : Convert to Southern Baptists, get married to a wonderful Lady, have many many children, and always dedicate themselves to fulfilling 1 Timothy 3. Teach your church to memorize and understand everything in the Word of God.
My advice to new priests, as a scientist: Don't waist your precious time. "god" doesn't exist
