its crazy how impactful gabriel was for just being in 4 episodes
Some of the best characters were in there for only a few episodes. The original death had only five episodes and the alpha vampire had four. But those characters felt important in each and every single episode they were in.
I can't wait til you guys meet Death. Mf has the coldest character intro in the show and is genuinely terrifying yet charismatic as hell.
Frr
Lucifer's biggest problem was that God created the angels to obey His every word, but when He created humans He gave us Free Will. And yet even though the angels obeyed His word, He loved humanity more.
"No one gives us the right...we take it." is honestly one of the rawest lines in this whole show
Mark Pellegrino plays Lucifer so well. He’s an amazing actor!
Old pegan gods require human sacrifices so the whole "eating humans" were actually human sacrifices, but since the show were making the gods humanized they took/accepted the sacrifices by eating them. About the gods being less powerful ; they've explained it actually, pegan gods gain power as much as the number of their believers/followers. And since the "new" god is in the town, pagan gods' followers began to decrease so they lost power
they didn't require sacrifices, they require worship. also the 'new" god isn't new he created them
@@houseofaction English is not my first language, so "require" might not be the right word. Also, I know the new god is not actually new, that's why I wrote in quotation marks. Pegan gods said something like "new god of yours" in the show that's why I said new
@@n_mare463 I think because christianity was newer than some of those other religions their Gods thought that meant they were here first, but in this show that's not the case.
yup, we all know who created the pagan gods and why@@aaronking5640
This is actually one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE episodes. Gabriel/the Trickster is THE best. How can he not exist when he is still viewed by SO MANY DIFFERENT CULTURES...as still significant.
Actually Davion, Lucifer was still God's favorite. Like it was said, Michael was first, but Lucifer had the "most potential" expectations from God. I believe this was already said from past episodes. Like Nathan says, Michael and Lucifer are the strongest archangels, so it goes in order, Michael Lucifer Raphael and Gabriel. There's so many episodes you guys already seen so it's understandable if you missed any information
Gabriel is one of my favorites characters
Truly what makes Gabriel a great character is him doing everything in his power to help the boys in this episode and actually sacraficing himself for this goal. He stopped being selfish and running from his problems and actually put in his full effort here. This episode shifts him from a grey character to a good one. R.I.P.
I absolutely loved this reaction. CAMERON AND DAVIONS LOOKS ON THEIR FACES WHEN THEY FIND OUT LUCIFERS BACKSTORY LMAOO
Bruh really had me feeling bad for him -Davion
@@JustUs Lucifer can do that… He’s an interesting motherfucker
the license plate was SIKN TRD, which reads as "Sick and Tired." Personally, Death's is my favorite one.
It actually reads STKN TRD, meaning Stinkin Turd
So here is the order of who is the oldest to youngest Archangel: 1). Michael 2). Lucifer 3). Raphael 4). Gabriel
It makes absolute sense for Gabriel to not be the best fighter tbh. Not only is he the youngest archangel _and_ has been dicking around on earth for _hundreds of thousands_ of years,
But not every archangel is build the same. Michael is commander of the Heavenly Host, but it doesn't seem like Raphael or Gabriel were built for the same military prowess (ie s6 or the fact that Gabriel resorts to trickery/backstabbing instead of an actual battle unlike Cas for example)
JUST WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO WATCH! 💚
"mark pellegrino could actually play a serial killer" don't even joke it literally happened to me
What! Your a serial killer? 🤣
Even with the title of the episode, and my love of mythology, this episode was still written in such a way that it didn't even occur to me who the manager was until later😂 Very well done
Gabriel was a fucking icon for how few episodes he was in. This episode was THE episode for me back when I was a big fan.
Every episode with gabriel automatically becomes my favorite
I really wasn’t feeling good and seeing this made me better thank you guys
Hammer of the Gods is an absolute gem; it’s also my 3rd favorite episode behind “The End” & “Abandon All Hope”.
I liked the concept of various gods from various religions working together to try & stop a world ending event. Even though I enjoy the back & forth banter between Odin & the Chinese Deity, I felt like there was little to no actual discussion on how the gods intended to involve themselves in stopping the apocalypse.
- Another thing I liked was the return of Gabriel. One aspect that stuck with me was that part of him still cared about the gods, even after they killed him after discovering his true identity. He displayed a different side of himself which had not been seen before. We also get a random cameo from the Ghostfacers; I always forget about this every time I rewatch this episode.
- On the other hand, we have the return of Lucifer, who destroys the pagans, making it one of the greatest moments in the history of the show. In fact, the first scene that Gabriel shares with the brothers, he foreshadows the way in which Lucifer kills the pagans.
- We look at another one of my favorite scenes, where Gabriel steps up & confronts his brother. I enjoyed the dialogue between the two because of how serious & personal it was. It was such a dramatic scene and unfortunately Lucifer kills Gabriel, which was heartbreaking. At least the first time as I watched it; and then Dabb ruined it.
- Lastly, we get one of the most difficult scenes to sit through. The introduction of Pestilence, I lost it when he sneezed on the guys working the register; was so disgusting.
Lazarus Rising is my all time favorite episode. It almost seems like a movie more than an episode
@@gfrancisco8870 Nice! The French Mistake is my favorite.
I think their plan was just all out war with Heaven, which, they should have called forth a _LOT_ more gods, because angels were legit created as soldiers of heaven. They're built for war
''The elephant in the room......NOT you'' 😂
The real Gods are JUSTUS😫!
That’s what im saying -Davion
Man i was dying laughing when yall were like no more ghost facers and i knew that they were showing up this episode i was in tears
I love that we see Lucifer cry after he kills his brother. He loves his family too (he also doesn't kill Cas in 5x10, just has a chat with him & leaves him trapped so he can't help the Winchesters) he just doesn't love them more than his want for revenge
The Lucifer hallway massacre was AWESOME!!!!
wish it kept going!! he's so damn scary
@@hollykm top 10 most intimidating scenes in the series for sure
gabriel's speech gives me goosebumps every single time, still one of my favorite characters, and one of my favorite episodes!
Such a shame about Gabriel! I liked him so much!
😉
@@gfrancisco8870 Oh come on
When he died by Kali, I thought "please, no". Then he came back. Then, died again but this time, there were his wings. I lost hope.
I don't know how far you are into the series, so I don't wanna be too spoiler-y, but let's just say that Gabe has more tricks up his sleeve. Just wait
The oldest/youngest/ middle child debate is hilarious 😂
This is what happens when you don't pay attention. Kali said she's the one who should be able to destroy everything because she's the goddess of destruction
Mark Pelligrino(the actor who plays Lucifer) is an AMAZING actor.
The horseman war was not killed they only cut off his finger to get the ring.
Ghostfacers are amazing. Highly recommend the video where they meet Castiel, that takes place in season 4. The web series they did that they just showed a commercial for was pretty damn funny too. I don't get the hate. Their S3 episode actually got me to start the show.
Nathan, I liked your choice of tone for the narration at the beginning. On the rare occasion, when you don't pronounce it "Supernatreal" I'm like Nathan is off his game!!!.
I'll say I loved the way they have introduced every horsemen so far. It just catches you off guard. I do agree that everything Lucie is mad at is dumb. Straight up temper tantrum....😉😉.
This is one of my favorite episodes! I love seeing all of the different gods and their point of view of the Christian apocalypse. Although it makes me sad about Gabriel 🥺. Also y’all talking about Friday after next made me smile. I watched it last week 🤣 The first Friday will always be one of my favorite movies!
Cameron: "I really wanna know why they'd eat humans." Me too. I'm unconvinced - filleted meatsuit might sound good to some minor backwoods gods, but these guys are supposed to be be major league. And wiping out all those (pagan) gods in one go - were they really as feeble as all that?
They lost most of their actual power when they lost most of their followers to Christianity, or at least that is what I interpret to be the case
Death’s entrance is iconic!!
Cameron is a king of roasting, I'm dying 😂
me, reads "hammer of the gods". *cries cause Gabriel *
also how can you get mad about a tiny ghostfacers something hahahahaahahah they are perfectly hilarious. and the miniseries came to be cause most of us loved them and wanted a show of them just being horrible ghosthunters hahaahah
We’ll remember that the archangels at this point in the series were second to only god if he’s gone they automatically take over and god was above all the other God’s
Yeap, at this point Michael is ruling heaven
For Davion: I know this is hella late, but in case you didn't find this out later, The original Four Horsemen are Conquest, Death, War, and Famine. However, the writers of the show changed it slightly and made Pestilence a horseman in replacement of Conquest.
You guys are speed running these reactions! You're awesome
Honestly i need an arc angel brothers prequel series !
Gabriel didn’t want to actually kill Lucifer he was hoping to actually talk him out of fighting. Lucifer is evil and is ruthless so he wouldn’t hesitate to kill his little brother like Gabriel would killing his big brother.
Another one of my faves ... i cant wait for yall to get through this show
This is an absolute banger of an episode!!🔥🔥🔥
Towards the end, all that Lucy talking invoked Davion’s inner Michael.
As a nurse I’m laughing so hard right now… 😂 Your reactions at the end 😂😂😂
They're getting closer to swan song
They are not gonna survive Swan Song tbh
Silence for Gabriel, he was an awesome character. Pestilence is the worst. Can’t wait for you to get to the finale of this season. 😄
This season is great! If the episodes make you that emotional, then it's good. LOL! I loved the Ghostfacers commercial!!! Too funny! Especially Davion's reaction. Mark Pellegrino is the best Lucifer ever played on tv or in the movies. The conversation between Gabriel & Lucifer was awesome!!!!! Gabriel, Richard Speight Jr, directed this episode. Pestilence is so GROSSS!!!!!!!!!!! Pestilence is disease. 🤢
Michael was created first, but Lucifer was the favorite.
Anna said (in s4) that only 4 angels had seen God's face, most likely Michael, Lucifer, Raphel & Gabriel. That means the forgotten middle child are actually _all the angels_ & the favorite/beloved new baby is humanity.
My one of my fave character is coming. Aaaahhhhhhhhh
~oooooooh deeeaath~
@@kirepaha5781 ~won't you spare me over til another year~
Seems pretty fitting that this episode aired exactly 12 years ago. Love your reaction. As always :)
Yeah the gods eat humans. Scarecrow and the villains in the christmas episode were also gods and they ate people.
Well the reason Kali says that is because she's the Hindu godess of destruction 💀
anyway... even though my favourite character died this is my favourite episode.
Gabriel episodes are my favorites
Also watching Lucifer wreck sht is so satisfying
Yes yes yes yes!!!!! More supernatural!!!! An nooooo I love this episode it's in my top 20
They totally took this Gabe/Loki V Luci scene and used it in Infinity War with Loki V Thanos.
Bro i hope cameron doesn’t forget what he just said in this episode dude’s f’ing vanga
Davion was like "am I the drama"
I never really shipped Dean and Cas I always saw them as brothers in arms.
same!
Dean cares about family more than love interests. So if anything it's better for Cas to be seen as his brother.
I was expecting a bigger conversation between Baldur, Loki and Odin considering there from the same realm and basically family.
Yessss one of my favorite episode's even after watching all the seasons😀😀
So technically all the angels came into existance all at the same time sort of god created the arch angels then angels. micheal is the most powerful and loyal of the arch angels, lucifer was the favorite, gaberal was the outcast of the family and Raphael was always fighting to be noticed following in Michaels footsteps
Archangels were created first I believe
DAMN Lucifer tore those pagan gods up bruh i can't believe they got Odin on Supernatural + I didn't see this episode until I got my dvd.
All the pagan gods of old require human and/or blood sacrifices. In SPN lore they consider them monsters because they eat the sacrifices.
Much like Sam and Dean, Nathan's voice has gotten deeper over the years! lol
pestilence hits different after 2020
Damn! Don’t disrespect my fellow middle child Davion like that.
There is a UA-cam video called like Ghostfacers meet Castiel. And it’s relevant to this series or the previous. So I’d suggest watching it
I love this episode!
Lucifer wasn't God's first son, he was his favorite, but Michael was the first archangel that God created (in religion it's presumed that Michael is the strongest archangel, since he defeated Lucifer when he revealed against heaven, envying the attention that God began to pay to the humans)
By this point in SPN, they're both arguably the most powerful archangels, Gabriel, Raphael and the others are technically below them, but we haven't seen the real power of Michael, because he doesn't have a vessel yet
correction, Michael in biblical lore is the only angel ever called Archangel(capital A) there are 9 times of angels the top tier angels are called Saraphim, michael is a Saraphim but the tippy top angel is called an Archangel. michael is a Saraphim but he happens to be THE Archangel. now down at the bottom is second to last tier called archangels(lower case A) they are the second weakest angels. Lucifer is an arcangel(lower case A)
@@houseofaction
It's really interesting to know, actually, but I wasn't talking about the biblical lore, I was talking about common beliefs, and just to explain how they are "ranked" in the SPN universe
The gross fellow at the end is Matt Frewer. He's a character actor who's been working since the early 80s-- he was the neighbor dad in Honey I Shrunk The Kids and played Trashcan Man in the first Stand miniseries. Another example of outstanding casting, even in the tiny roles.
Played Max Headroom
Eureka
so in the supernatural the for horsemen of the apocalypse is War, Famine, Pestilence and,, death.
In the epsiode with War the made everyone in the group start to see things and was messing with their minds creating conflict which conflict leads to War. and in War alot of death is caused
In the episode with Famine everyone acted as if the things they needed/wanted where scares and so they did all they could do to fill what they preserved as empty(typically in a biblical sense it would be that these things were gone like food and resources leading to death) leading to over indulgence and death
i wont spoil pestalince seeing as he is slightly confusing and you finding out would be best
death on the other hand is exactly his name implies: I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death.
Finally people that are like me, smite for sure😂
Disagree with Dean in this one, he asking Gabriel to fight/kill Lucifer. Is something like asking Dean to kill Sam -_-
Dean would die if he knew he could kill Lucifer. He thought Gabriel could.
And again ... my favoutite character died. they always die....
so I think there are 12 archangels if im not mistaken but the first one God made was Michael, Lucifer is "younger" than him he's not the first but Lucifer was His(God's) favorite from all the archangels and Lucifer's real problem with humanity is that archangels and angels are only second in power to God and humanity is basically as he says "cockroaches" spite of this God asks all of his creations (archangels and angels included) to bow down to humanity and to serve us and to love us more than they love Him so Lucifer just can't fathom serving and loving a creation he thinks is so insignificant and that's how the whole rebellion and cast down begins
no there isn't 12. there are 9 types of angels the most powerful are the Saraphim, michael is a saraphim(like castiel) but he is also the Archangel(capital A) the second lowest type of angel is the arcangels(lower case A) lucifer is an arcangel(lower case a). also all angels are stated to have been created simultaniously before god created the universe
Yep I’m here
I’m davion-coded fr
Pestilence means= epidemic, or disease or plague
So happy to see Gabriel back. Even if he did get killed by his own rebellious brother after trying to help the Winchesters survive against a group of crazy gods that want to eat them in a pointless attempt to put the apocalypse to a halt. Poor, poor archangel/trickster/mischief god.
The random Ghostfacers commercial has got to be one of the most meta moments in this show. There was no relation to the episode at all, they just added them there for whatever reason, and it was great.
A little weird to say, but Lucifer was really that guy this episode, and not in a good way. Dude was ganking gods left and right, and they still thought they stood a chance against stopping the apocalypse. Yeah, right.
Gabriel in the Casa Erotica tape was hilarious, but kinda sad. At least he got to get it on with a baddie as part of his final moments. Again, hilarious, but sad.
I've always liked that the Four Horsemen rings are the key to Lucifer's cage, and since they only need the other two to unlock it, that just leaves Pestilence and Death.
Speaking of Pestilence, I would not just let that guy violate me by releasing his viruses in my local convenience store like that, and all over my face! Hell no; with or without COVID, me and him are fighting.
Great reaction guys, hyped for the next! 💯🔥
"we were here first"......well I believe the abrahamic god begs to differ
I know that Lucifer is of God so that's the explanation on why he's so much stronger than the gods I guess but I still would prefer it if Lucifer had a hard time with the gods or couldn't beat them at all since they are GODS but that's just my opinion.
Also I completely understand the superstitious fear of not wanting to say Bloody Mary out loud, I get quite superstitious myself
I think, and I could be totally wrong, that most of those gods power comes from how much they are worshipped and since nowadays those gods aren’t worshipped as much their power is diminished
Yes, its been established that the gods powers come from worship so it makes sense that they are week as fuck
@@matthewbee128 Which doesn't make sense for Hindu gods as about a billion people still worship them. But it's okay making other religious gods weaker but the idea of them eating humans and completely shitting on their good qualities are things that I dislike here. At least show some respect when you are writing about other people's gods. Imagine how disgusting people will feel if they made something showing that Jesus was a cannibal or something.
@@sandeepkhadka6317 look I don’t know for sure. I’m just drawing a theory based on previous episodes involving gods. They used to get their power from sacrifices and worshippers but since they don’t have that as much they have to get creative like Leshi (Paris Hilton) and Chronos (season 7)
@@matthewbee128 I understand that, that's why Hindu gods not getting enough worship while having a billion worshippers sounds weird. But this is okay, they can make any gods weaker or stronger. My issue is these gods have definite traits which are important to their worshippers and should be respected enough by the writers. For example, imagine a Christian reaction if someone made a movie saying Jesus was a cannibal. It's disgusting right, because it goes against his character.
Ahhhhh Lucifer yes!
Why don't y'all react to the bloopers after each season?

lucifer is never referred to as gods favorite angel nor is he ever called a god. as he is an angel. lucifer is also an arcangel(lower case a) which is the second lowest tier of angels in scripture. the highest tier is the saraphim
