Scientists baffled by the company's ability to create dope-ass soundtrack every single time.
The Office is such a fitting soundtrack that I think of it whenever I think of gremlins in general.
Sunsoft means excellent music. I love how they captured the mischievousness of the gremlins so well in sound.
the composer was Naoki Kodaka who was one of those awesome composers where if you listen to essentially any of it, it's all eminently fantastic

Sunsoft, Compile, Konami, Capcom, Nintendo. They had the absolute best.
Music is by Naoki Kodaka - worked for Sunsoft in these ol' days, he's currently a professor of music at several universities. He even composed the music for Batman on the nes, which is equally incredible.
The style is pretty recognizable - he composed Fester's Quest NES soundtrack too, which I loved.
This is one ofnthe best 8 bit soundtracks thats not Mega Man, Castlevania, Zelda, Contra. As is other Sunsoft games like Master Blaster.
Same samples as in Journey to silius . So I bet he composed the music for that game also.. Snaredrum and bass

This has to be one of my favorite soundtracks out there. It's incredible to see how adventurous they were on the NES. It's practically ahead of its time,

This game is so underrated. Its score could easily make Top10 best NES soundtracks. The Cutscene Display and Ending are my favourite pieces.
Easily my friend! This game caught so many things in my youth, the banging music, the misschieveness, the heroicness from Gizmo against the Gremlins.. Yeah.. we are never gonna get games like these any more..

Gizmo was the Baby Yoda/Rocket Racoon/Detective Pikachu for the kids growing up in the 80s and 90s, like myself. And he's still the best! This adorable l'il fella needs to come back to the pop culture 'cause he's missed.
He needs good writing/plot for a comeback. His nemesis set him apart from the other characters

I recently picked a copy of the game up at a London retro market. It's a cracking little game and criminally overlooked.
And of course the music is incredible, it *is* SunSoft.

Games made by Sunsoft of JAPAN always had good music, unlike their American division in the 16 bit days who hired crappy ass Non-Japanese developers to do licensed games.

Sunsoft music is legendary. Even my school friends as a kid would hum Sunsoft tunes.
I loved this game's soundtrack as soon as I first played it back in the 90s. It has so many catchy themes. "Gremlins 2" is so underrated. Just like Gizmo himself, it deserves more love!

This was a pretty good gremlins game actually overall. Good music, platforming, and plenty of challenge. Definitely not an easy game.

Sunsoft made a handful of great games for the NES. This, Batman, Blaster Master, Fester's Quest.......great company.
+Robert Anderson I think they are the best GAME COMPANY ever made, every game is made in love on the NES. They did the best technical achievements on the NES. Mr. Gimmick is the most note worthy but that has a physics engine, while the batman return of hte joker has the most parallax scrolling.

I agree. I just with that they developed a lot more licensed games themselves at their Japanese divisions like they did during the NES days. As for the 16 bit days, the only licensed title that the Japanese division of Sunsoft did was Pirates of Dark Water on the SNES. That was the better game.
oh yeah batman and blaster master were great games. Its really a shame sunsoft never had this success on SNES. They had the talent.

Sunsoft were the gods of creating music on the NES
Pretty sure The Office music is taken from the actual Gremlins 2 Movie, but all the other seems to be original IINM. The Title Screen and Ending themes seem to be patterned after Gizmo's song from the movies.
I think the Ventilation Shafts music was also in the movie. You can hear at least bits of it during the scene where the evil mogwais are pushing Gizmo into the air ducts.

Great games, great times. Journey to silius was one of my favourite game & the music is fantastic in that game, just like in this game Gremlin 2, created by sunsoft. =)

Oh man Castlevania, my favorite franchise of all time, and i remember beating that game extremely fast only to find the world record was only like 10 seconds faster.
Batman sounds
I love the game, and the game's OST, but it's difficult to play especially after Stage 2.
I will however say the game designers did a superb job designing obstacles and enemies.
Not to mention Gizmo sprite was spot on. Facing left shows the brown fur on face and face right shows the white fur on face.

Yes, I agree with you. Mainly because Sunsoft of Japan actually did the licensed games, such as this one, and the 2 Batman games on the NES. Sunsoft of Japan only did TWO licensed games one on the SNES and that was Pirates of Dark Water, and the second was Batman on the Sega Genesis. During the 16 bit days, Sunsoft USA was ruled by a bunch of fucking idiots who wanted cheap and crappy as fuck developers who are NON-JAPANESE to do games on the SNES and Genesis. Sunsoft of America was responsible for creating their god damn Non-Japanese made mascot, Aero the Acrobat. Sunsoft of America ruined the company and the Japanese division had to save themselves by closing the American division for good before the Japanese division went bankrupt.
Jeremy M It's a shame and a waste... Sunsoft of Japan was such a great little team, there was no need for an american division... I mean in the SNES and Genesis days Capcom and Konami still developed most of their games in-house, in Japan, and that was a guarantee of quality. In the 90s most Western console games sucked compared to japanese-developed titles.
