The Uk is 100% so negative. You cant realy exist in peace without judgement if your different or outside the box. I went to spain and no matter how much my social anxiety flared up(from bad experiences her in the UK) ppl were extremely kind, inclusive and understanding. I left feeling refreshed and confident in myself . I genuinley didnt know ppl in ither countries are just too happy(on a general societal level) to be hateful. The UK has a severe mob mentality and covert bullying culture that needs to be fixed asap. From work environmenta that are meant to be proffesional to just surface level interactions. Ppl in portugal for example still say hello and are cordial to people they dont like. In the UK people will fully just ignore you if they dont like you and treat you as less than human. It happens in japan too and its mind boggling to behold.
Yes,I agree. There is a really bad mob mentality in the U.K Too many wannabes,I went to a place called Vassenden,a little village in Norway and I can honestly say I've never known such peace.I thought "I could live here".
I had a friend visit from Malaysia back in 2000. She said, "UK, great past, but no future". I thought that was a bit harsh, but I started agreeing a few years ago. If you've worked or lived in a few different countries, you can compare. If not, you have to go on what other people think, but YT makes that easier. I worked in Dubai for a little while and was glad to leave after some months (I have worked in the mid east before). I didn't really like the job. For a couple of days though (I was off sick) I went around Dubai and thought it was OK. Back in the UK A few years later I did the checklist, Dubai was coming out on top. Having someplace nice to stay makes all the difference. You can live in an apartment in Dubai with a gym, a swimming pool, underground parking, that's close to the Metro (which is computer controlled, always on time). It's generally safe too and go out at night and it feels peaceful. Heat, yes, but sunshine almost every day...but then, I've never really been into the UK's cold, wind and rain that much, and that's as a person that used to cycle year round. Of course, summer is nice (for those few unexpected days a year). Another thing is the UK democracy. It's a joke. Just like the the US. The one in charge can decide to attack another country or send money to commit genocide even while their own citizens starve. Total BS! A system that's 100's of years old. What makes them think it's fit for purpose now? Does everything else progress apart from the systems designed to keep the poor, poor? The ruler of Dubai's stated aim is to make the city the best in the world. He's got to this point in the last 30 years or so. How long did London have to get to this point? So, you can't really compare the two. Yes, they don't have everything right, but as a work in progress, it's pretty impressive. Of course there is no 2 party system with their shouting and trying to score points off each other. Just one person, with a vision for his city. What's the vision for UK.plc? What the UK really needs is the best people in the correct positions, doing the job for the good of the country, not for themselves/friends & family. After the last few years, it should be more obvious that life is precious, and governments can make bad decisions that may very well cut yours short. Surely there's a lesson in that!
Standard of leaving in Central and Eastern European countries have increased considerably in the last decade while in the UK decreased. Many of them like Croatia, Slovenia and maybe Poland are at least equal to the UK. Countries like Romania and Bulgaria if the current trend continues will be better than UK by 2050.
Yeah they all come over here. Caused our housing crisis and then sent their money back to their countries. Now they're closing their doors to immigration. They just royally fckd us over
I have had a letter from my energy supplier to say my energy prices are changing again in January Ffs! 2026 i'm leaving England. You're right it's been going seriously downhill since the 90s.
What you say about the depressive environment in UK really struck a chord with me. Mention you intend to emigrate and the invariable response is, "It's such a long way." This is so irrelevant unless you intent to drive or even walk to your host nation. And when it comes moral courage, Brits are such a bunch of gutless wonders: "That's it, I'm emigrating." Six months later you run into them and they've always got their excuses ready. "I'd miss football, the pub, family, TV programmes ..." You have to be prepared to plough it under. Excuses are like a***holes, everybody got one. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit

Dubai is not all it’s cracked up to be. 10-15 years ago it would have been a brilliant place to move for work purposes. Now, it’s overpopulated like crazy and slowly becoming more westernised
I've seen loads of UA-cam videos lately of people moving back to the UK from Dubai or to other parts of the world... The novelty has worn off... It’s so sad. When working Brits needed cash infusion during covid, they got austerity. Things are not great in the US - housing, healthcare, etc and who knows what comes next (?) - but Pres. Biden and dems provided unemployment funds to most when they were critically needed. Couldn’t work during covid but the bills didn’t end. Those funds kept many Americans afloat and from falling into deep debt. Austerity killed the UK - that and Brexit. So sad.
Your Hotel comparison is spot on. You see it when you enter a Hotel in the UK. I did this some years ago in London (5 stars !!). It was extremely expensive but service was less than standard and done by some east european workers for the owners to save money. The whole interior has not been properly maintained since the war (bathrooms !! carpets !!). It is exactly as you described and it is a good metaphor for the UK (or even whole europe ? (except Switzerland !)).
A Question - How would they be able to enforce an exit tax? For example, if I run a consulting business and own a home. I'd just shut the shell company and transfer the assets (Me :D) to another company in UAE. Sell house and put all my Assets onto a Crypto Cold Wallet in (USD Tether). This would make enforcing the exit tax impossible in my opinion.
@@markwa8400 that's not going to wash. You will have a business, an accountant and a paper trial of all the money. You have residency in the uae and are at the pleasure of the government. So if the UK government want to ckme for you they have all sorts of ways to do it and they WILL get you. I always say to people, the UK tax system has had one thousand years. Or even let's just talk modern tax, 3 hundred years of working out how people dodge tax. They are very very VERY good at getting you. You won't out smart them with some genius loop hole you just thought of. They might not catch you tomorrow, or in 12 months. Right now, some parts of Asia are the only sane places to be, together with Norway, Finland/Iceland, Denmark and maybe Poland. But you see the US, there's a major storm coming their way. Their wages is about to plunge or better yet, the inflation is about to consume them. It feels like the great depression asides from the areas you had mentioned.

I agree, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Southeast / East Asia are the only nice places left, but even Scandinavia is getting bad. Malmo, Sweden looks like Mogadhisu.
You're delusional. The US is doing exceptionally well. Inflation is under 3%, and real growth (after deducting inflation) is also at 3%. The US has been growing consistently over 2.5% for the past 3 years. The US stock market is booming, and the US keeps adding jobs while low unemployment. The US is not where near Europe and is growing more in pace with Asia.
It's the same everywhere now. All Anglosphere countries are suffering inflation and stagnant economies and unfortunately due to these nations de industrialising, the Political and Corporate class see Mass immigration as a means to pump up their economies. This is just making things worse for individuals even though GDP gets expanded. Here in Australia, things are going backwards, but we are starting from a very high level, so it's still livable here. Comparing a country to a hotel with great food at cheap prices sort of seems strange. I guess that all of the immigrants who are currently in ‘countries better than the UK according to you’, Germany, France, for example seem to want to get to the UK, and don’t suggest it’s because the UK gives greater financial support then I would suggest you look at the financial support immigrants get from other EU counties, which are better than the UK. Food, electricty, diesel, patrol and taxes are higher all over EU than the UK. Im working with folk from Belgium at the moment on 60% tax, great chocolate and beer but I’d rather pay less tax. So awfully sad what’s happened to the uk, when you have dumb leaders what can you expect.

This is so irrelevant unless you intent to drive or even walk to your host nation. And when it comes moral courage, Brits are such a bunch of gutless wonders: "That's it, I'm emigrating." Six months later you run into them and they've always got their excuses ready. "I'd miss football, the pub, family, TV programmes ..." You have to be prepared to plough it under. I love it here so in a way I guess it is an advert.
So voting for Brexit and the Tories for decades wasn't such a great idea after all?
@@DavoInMelbourne oh they're all as bad as each other
Everyone…… well I don’t know anyone who wants to leave the UK.
I’ve worked in 40+ countries including the US, most counties in the EU including Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, south America, Middle East etc. Certainly the weather can be better in some countries, and some where new while on hols is always fantastic, but living in northern EU in -20 isn’t great, trains in Germany are late, the gun crime in Sweden is apparently 300% worse than London, and it does on.
Everyone one’s entitled to an opinion it’s a free world, but making a comment about negativity and then saying everyone is leaving the UK, and you should too….. I think that’s negative.
@@christopherbuck7679 yeah that's fair. Why do you think they are coming to the UK instead of staying France or other countries?
I have some U.K. companies and thought since they are based in the U.K., they had to pay tax in the U.K.. I know that if I reside >6 months abroad, my income will be taxed abroad; but the U.K. companies would still need to pay the Corporation tax in U.K.. That’s higher now. Licensing IP as an option may be what you’re referring to
@@bonditltd5346 no it's not licencing IP it's using your company as what's called a Pass Through Entity. There is some structuring that needs to happen but that's what I've done and it works well. And is completely legal obviously!

Why the hell should i. Im not leaving the country i was born and raised. The only people that should leave the UK are the people that voted labour

No, and for ex-pats you have to have private insurance. He feels okay now, but did he get his appendix out before he travelled? Did he get his prostate checked before going? Is it the weather? What changed the Brits....they were some of the most enterprising people in the world!
@@wycliffeobiero-m7p it's probabaly an inability to accept we no longer have an empire. A lot of act like we still rule the world, but in reality we are just some little island that hasn't done anything significant for 100 years.
So I think it's living off past glories and snobbery.
I blame the government for this countries ills. Every couintry has its fair share of bad weather but when you have a government that are useless, then no wonder the country is in the mess it is in.
@@davidyoung9561 Agreed, its a combination of factors
Basically the country got cocky thinking that because the empire was so big that they're untouchable. Long story short. the British are no different than everybody else. Empires rise and fall all the time in history and there was no contingency plan for after the empire crumbled. You say "they used to be enterprising" but in reality so was everybody else. Germans, the French and if we go back far enough, every ither country lol. All nations have had empires come and go. Only British think their forgotten empire makes them better than everybody else. The nation was just rich is enough to dominate others. There's nothing special about Belonging to any nation. We are all just human trying to get by. This is coming from a black Brit who can see things from the inside out and outside in.
