I just taught Chaucer's "The Squire's Tale" in my sci fi class (as proto-science fiction). It has a robotic horse in it.

Glad you liked the Courts of Chaos David. Very different flavor to that novel but does bring it home with an epic conclusion! Good Video!

You always read such great stuff! Wonderful to see you! Glad you are enjoying the Dark Horse Conan ( one must be mighty to read that omnibus) and Daredevil. I think you will like War and Peace once it gets rolling.

I just started my Landmark Herodotus the other day, too! I have tons of great books and comics to read thanks to my favorite Booktuber!

My history teacher made me memorize the year 1066, and it's been stuck in my head ever since. The book you read on it sounds interesting. I really enjoyed Wizard's First Rule, but Temple of the Winds made me DNF the series.

I’ve no doubt you’re aware and that others have mentioned it as well, but (and don’t get me wrong, the show is actually one of my favorite shows of all time) the character of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen from the show is different from the comics. He’s far more of a Batman type character in the show. But, I also remember loving him in the comics that I’ve read (old ones).
    Great to hear from you!

Great to see you again, David. The Chaucer essays and bio look terrific. That's the same John Gardner who wrote the novel Grendel, isn't it? Great stuff!

You are right, it is that same Gardner!
