Love that you add in other area trails (and dining suggestions). Your experience might amend the current trending debate as follows: Who would you rather come across in the woods, a man, a bear,or pre-teen boys? I’m sure the queso did the trick.

@@johtapia1 No bears. Very rarely one passing through the Black Hills. Mountain Lions, Rattlesnakes, and Bison are the main ones humans need to be wary of.

Quickest way: Hwy 79 to I90 to spearfish then take hwy 14 (spearfish canyon)
