Nice job! Such a good solo. Such a good track. They never should’ve let Dave go! Man could write a tune and play the drums way harder than anyone else they got. (Love Matt in Soundgarden, not so much in Pearl Jam).
Es la mejor explicacion de este tema...himno de los 90's....Yo viví esa decada y este tema es muy apasionante y fantastico...tu explicacion ha resumido el espiritu subversivo de ese género tan potente....Gracias desde caracas Venezuela
You're welcome! Probably Tumnus and SL Drive for this one, i can't remember if it's not at the beginning of the vid! Amp is always my Victory V40 set on just the point of breakup but if it's PJ tones you're after, a buddy is releasing a pedal in the next week or so and I worked with him on the voicings etc so defo worth checking that out funnylittleboxes.co.uk/blogs/news/im-still-alive-the-1991-story
Fantastic. Damn, this song is phenomenal.
Babylonkid lots of fun to play live too 🤘😀🤘
Such a badass song to start off an album, hardest solo I have tried to learn yet. Keep rocking, man!

Labyrinth1010 cheers buddy, yea this and Why Go are 2 of Mike’s fastest studio solos. Just add wah though, hides loads of “jazz notes” 😀🤘
100% agreed

Paul Miranda thanks for the comment Paul, glad you like the channel 😊🤘
Uno de los mejores temas de PJ gracias al Gran Dave Abbruzzese excelente explicacion
Really enjoyed it even though I couldn't even play this fast in my dreams. I'll impress my friends with the awesome rhythm section instead :)
thanks Brian :-) don't worry the rhythm section is the best bit imo ;-)
Great video, my friend. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Treefingers!
wow, I always assumed this must have had finger tapping. Will have to give it a try now. Great Lesson!

What's the name of the awesome blue telecaster you have? I wanna see if I can get one
It's a Fender American Telecaster Plus from mid to late 90s (i think). Bought it from new so have had it for years. Great little guitars!
Gracias ¡¡¡
Genial !
Great lesson as always, this solo is way too fast for me at the moment though
Andrew in California thanks man, and me haha
excellent but why your t-shirt says PEARL JAMM ?
I play in a Pearl Jam tribute called "Pearl Jamm" - see here facebook.com/pearljammband
didnt even notice the extra M lol
@@buntelrad676 haha sneaky extra one :-)
Come on Matt.. Close your eyes, pick a pentatonic box and hit GO at 100mph.
Remember, if you play it fast know one will ever know
Tim Love just add wah - hides everything 🤘😉
Genial!
