Evgeny is such a beast. His cymbal work is deffo what makes him recognizable to my ear. Discovered them a year ago, been a fan since.

@@southstream6714 his feet control is ridiculous. Just amazing. I just mentioned the cymbals bc I think it's one of his trademarks, that pure cymbal sound in the heaviest parts.

Watching this band grow has been an absolute pleasure. The musicianship and the vocals of STP are pushing limits to ignite a bunch of Deathcore bands to progress to a more brutal form of music that I truly enjoy as a Death Metalhead. I am now just as excited for new material from Slaughter To Prevail as I am for new Dying Fetus or Cannibal Corpse releases. Great stuff. Alex is an absolute BEAST live. For that matter the whole band has kept up with his intensity. Just brilliant.
STP have been going from strength to strength since Demolisher was released. The whole band are amazing musicians, but Alex's growls are next level, and Evgeny Novikov's heel toe is almost God tier. The best example of that from his time with STP has to be the drum playthrough of Demolisher, but he also has quite a few drum playthroughs from when he was with his previous band Katalepsy. Did you also notice he holds the tip of his sticks and hits with the handle?

I was at the OKC concert as well. It was so hot that day, I was seriously worried about the bands. I made it the entire show before I passed out walking to my car 😅 I agree with you, though, they were insane live. I stuck to the back and I had no issues hearing them even when they were talking away from the mic. Loved adding one of their t-shirts to my collection.
