Too funny! I always had a theory about this show and others like it (The Dating Game ect) that they were mostly actors looking for work and it was somewhat scripted. Not total reality. Such as: No chick would actually say your nose was too big. Your nose isn't big. Stuff like that. Like me on that show, I would be pretty dull. I just don't talk that much. You didn't talk that much either but most do. Anyway, so cool that you posted this.
Not scripted at all but definitely edited. Producers do review dates and tell you what to highlight as they only want really good and really bad dates like mine.

On boy, how can we remember your appearances Ken just from the GSN reruns. When GSN reran your episodes, we didn't find out what the episode nos. were, that was because the weekly PDF schedules didn't exist yet, but I do believe it was when Super Password returned to the schedule immediately following this episode.
Really? I heard that the reruns were on GSN but never saw mine. However a kid who worked for me years and didn't know I was on the show came home hammered one night and swore he saw me on it lol.

It was over 30 years ago and I auditioned just to bet my NY buddies that I can get on and that I would be the one sitting on the couch with Chuck. Obviously I won the bet but laughed through the whole taping of the episode.

Good stuff Ken. How did they "pay for the date"? Did they give you a credit card to use? What do you remember the most about living in So Call in the late 80's/early 90s?
They gave you only $75 for the date so you basically lost money. Southern California to me in the early 90's was very transient. There was no neighborhood feel and I still remember the bumper sticker that said "Welcome to California, when you leave please take someone with you"
