    Never got to see him live in concert :-( at least now w/ UA-cam & the generosity of the fans who attended his shows & uploaded their media, these can all be enjoyed & relived to eternity. David - you gave a lot of joy to your fans. Though you struggled w/ your own life & was as human as all, in your fan's eyes & hearts (and your family's) - you are still forever Beloved.

    I keep seeing David and not always on purpose, The first time was at Madison Square Garden in N.Y.C. Which he told me over and over that was his best moment, Another time we where staying at the same hotel. The Holiday inn in Uniondale long island before his show where I met his grandmother and his younger brother, Another time He was looking for a taxi cab in N.Y.C. on the corner where he was doing a show on Broadway with his wife or daughter while I was driving by. Another, I was at the ABC TV center Hollywood Calif. While David was doing a TV show for Dick Clark, I sneak back stage and seen David was in make up. I asked David why you did the naked cover for Rolling stone Mag. He said it was the thing to do , Really no reason at all with a smile. Some big guy walks in the room and asked David if he wants me kick out , David said no he is okay. Another was at the race track in Hallendale Fla.called Gulfstream Park, We had some drinks. We both owned some race horses and both of our horses was running that day. Another was I was roaming times square NYC and I seen the shows family bus so I went there and david was doing a free concert, later he would say that was his second hi light as david cassidy The last time was at a horse racing contest in Las vegas at the Orleans casino some years ago. David R.I.P. Cant wait to see you again.

    This vid makes me happy every time I watch or listen to it...and a bit teary too. David and his band should be very proud of the joy shared over the years. I admire David's tenacity as well as his talent. He in fact is a joy.

    Watching this video makes my heart so sad. David Cassidy was extremely talented both as an actor and musician. I was one of the teens with posters on my wall, floor to ceiling. I got to see him in concert twice in the early 70's. I was also a long time fan of Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers. The lived in the town where I grew up and we have seen them on and off over the years. When Gregg Allman was diagnosed with liver disease there was so much media coverage in Georgia about it, to educate others. It made me wonder if it had been the same in other parts of the country?And if so, why didn't someone recognize the symptoms of liver disease in David Cassidy? It is hard to watch David cry while he is singing and know how hard he is struggling with his addiction. I agree with the others, you just want to give him a big hug.

      +Jenny Purcell Isn't it weird how the honesty keeps getting him in trouble? This is one of the best shows my wife and I ever filmed and it's sad that it has so few views compared to some of the others especially with David in such fine form singing rare songs. Appreciate your comment Jenny.

    I have a feeling David Cassidy was happiest in his later years is when he was performing on stage; but it looks like he starts tearing up at 33:48. He must have been thinking of those that he had lost in his life. This breaks my heart.

    • @Bluuve
      @Bluuve 6 років тому +3

      I agree with you. . He was so damn cute in the early years but at about age 40 or so he became a ball of fire in his concerts when he rocked those PF songs. He was at his peak and on tour around the time his son was born.. There are some vids on here from that time. But I liked him best in his later years when you could tell that he really had an appreciation for his most loyal fans who attended his concerts & he talked to us, and said that we were the ones who propelled him through the last few decades of his career. I liked him a lot as he grew older. The fact that he was not perfect off stage humanized that perfect teen idol, and carried a lot of us along with him on the ride till the end of his life-- oh yeah, that and his TALENT! :) Thanks for your post.

    • @drlucio
      @drlucio  7 років тому +1

      I would assume it was his undiagnosed liver and kidney condition that ultimately led to his death. It's all so sad and probably preventable with regular physicals and taking better care of oneself. There were times like March and October of 2016 where he looked better than this video you are watching and other times where he did not look well at all within the same year.

      You know what? Those videos of his last concert(s) in LA when he sang his favs & standard PF songs and ppl say he was drunk? Well, I still see the talent, the attraction, loved the music every Etten her wad visibly older. Hey! I got older along with him and so did most of us.. I got my spouse to copy the good DC vids here, h some of the concerts with DannyB from the 1990s since I feel these YT things will be taken down very soon now, by Sue and whoever his family business reps are, when they realize they can significantly increase the size of his estate by getting a good pro to turn them into remastered DVDs which ppl like me would buy in a heartbeat. I'd buy them not just bc I loved David Cassidy but bc I want him memorialized other than just the PartridgeFamily era.He is looking and sounding good here and yes he was handsome as hell :) When you think about how hard he worked even b4 graduating from high school, he deserves respect. He didn't have the big Hollywood machine behind hin after PF yet he endured, cause he had that certain something. A One-Off he was! When everyone thought he looked so bad in Feb2017, I appreciated his humor, and jokes and stage presence, despite his illness and whatever was killing him, as he struggled to still entertain us. Decided to but his first book but I don't know if that book will be as genuine as he was at the end. I also loved that he was game to dress and pose in a myriad of styles when he was younger. When he performed in last 10 years he always wore a crisp white shirt, and looked WONDERFUL:)
      So there you go, look what you made me write, lol. Just an excuse to say I appreciated him no matter what. Wow he is now singing in falsetto.. can't believe he managed that. Then again he always surprised us with his talent. Loved his "Junked Heart Blues", have you seen that here on YT?.Also him singing withGlen Campbell... OK thanks for your post. Yes he did look great here and one would never think that in only 2 years he would be gone...

    • @Bluuve
      @Bluuve 6 років тому

      Jane, I agree with you that he did indeed have trials. Some were public but we will never know all of what he went through. I hope more than anything that at the very end with his family there that he felt content, and loved, and did not feel pain. A family gathering on such short notice like that is not easy to pull off, especially since some of then were also professionals. I'm glad Sue was there and I think it was to Sue that he spoke those last words not his daughter as some say. Probably he felt that he just wanted more time with all of them. His brother Shaun was always so loyal to him through the years. I've come to like Shaun for that, though I never felt Shaun had much talent, his loyalty was a far more important quality. Thank you for your post.
