Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at another PATREON request with the live '97 performance with Mylene ft. Khaled and their rendition of Michel Polerneff song "La Poupée qui fait non." Wow, I didn't think this one was going to sound this great! But then again it's Mylene Farmer, doing what she does best. Her vocals are stunning! Khaled makes this one a joy to hear.

It's a great song, a cover, that she pulls off together with the amazing Khaled. The vibe of the song and how it's performed is very satisfying. Just makes me smile. And Khaled here seems to enjoy himself so much on stage.

Mylene decided to sing this song after her meeting with Polnareff in L.A. They were supposed to sing together but the projet collapsed but they are still friends and love each other's world of music. This song "La Poupée Qui Fait Non (Live)/'The Doll That Does Not-Says No (Live)" (pronounce like in Spanish 🇪🇸 : La Pú-Pé Ki Fé Nón😄) in duet with Khaled (pronounce "Ra-Led") was released on April 29, 1997 as the first single from Mylène's second live album "Live A Bercy", ranked no.6 and sold around 90,000 copies.
The title will all the same reach the 10th place of the airplay radios France on June 29, 1997 and will rather know strong rotations on the peripheral radios reaching the 4th position of the airplay dedicated to these radios at the end of April.
On the other hand in Belgium, the single knows a better reception ranking 5th of the utratop in French-speaking Belgium and becoming the 41st most successful single for the year 1997.
Mylène sang this song with Khaled and they perform this well-known title in a raï version (Arabic music) on two dates of the 1996 Tour at the Arena in Geneva and at Bercy in Paris on December 10 and 12, 1996.
