Actually, Stuyvesant high school is a public school and even though it's located in Tribeca, the students travel from all five different boroughs of New York City. So, generally the student population isn't rich and most of them travel an hour on public transportation every morning to get a better education.

People who go to Stuy aren't rich whatsoever. Why do ppl assume that?

It is not about the students being rich, but the school has a strong Alumni that gives back TONs of money. The city also upkeeps the school more than other DOE school because Stuy become a symbol of American school for the international Wall St.

Lin is the first full-blooded Asian American to play in the NBA for longer than 5 games (Wat Misaka played 3 games). He's the first full-blooded Asian American to play in the NBA since 1947 (again, Wat Misaka - and the all-caucasian league was called the BAA back then). The other "Asian Americans" since have had only one parent of Asian descent. And Lin is the first Chinese or Taiwanese American player in the NBA, ever, NBA or BAA or ABA, full-blooded or not.

Well you have a point, but that's because the poor kids become rich later on and they'd like to give back to the school that paved the way for their success. I mean who would want to restrict alumni from giving donations? Its free money. Also, since Stuy is a high performing school the money they get is well deserved. Money should be given for high performance not the other way around.

we will just have to see. I'm pretty confident about the knicks this season even with all the drama. And even if knicks get beaten the heat knows they have the most difficult match-up this first round. The pacers are probably jumping up and down knicks didn't make the sixth seed.

This kid's great for taking the time to respond to those students. Haters have seriously ridiculous reasons for hating this kid.smh If you're going to say he's overhyped, then please mention his overhyped TOs. Nash, Rondo, D-Williams, etc. All these great PGs in the league are making the same number of or even higher number of TOS than Lin and they have an average of 4-7 years of experience more than him. Learn shit before you talk shit.
