Wow that tiny blue bottle is gorgeous! The figure looked interesting, looked quite old like a flatback Staffordshire figurine. It almost looks like it was wall mounted though which is odd! Great film as always :) :) x

Hello Mudpies, I loved the manganese bottle super cool that over time it will get darker, Kisa says "Oi Oi squelchies", the little pork pies are simply wonderful.
Another great adventure with a lot of great finds. My fav is the manganese glass. It will eventually turn a deep purple if exposed to the sun's ultra violet rays. Manganese was added to glass as a decolorizer. Sand used for glassmaking usually contained some iron which gave the glass a green cast. Manganese was used to eliminate the green,j producing a higher quality "clear" glass. The world's major source of manganese was Germany, so that when World War I began, the supply of manganese was cut off, and glass makers turned to another decolorizing agent, arsenic.

Great finds today, that wind was really strong! It is so hard to choose which is my favourite as you found some really excellent bottles and inks, but the one I love is the little blue bottle. The cut downs would look great with candles or I love the tea lights that change colours looks so pretty. I’m glad your shop is doing well as you all do a lot of work to have great items to buy. I've seen those flagons used before with the bottoms cut out and they are used on cheese cutting boards. You just cut them off and hallow out where they sit on the board, tie a decorative cutting knife to the handle, add cheese!!!!

That patch of mud was truly the " Ink Spot"😁 Beer and agnst filled writers = chucked bottles and tossed inkwells. Now where are the pickles?
