    Thank you Andrew! I do believe most apps should be designed responsive for the future in our tenant. Thanks for sharing this we will have to convert many apps!

      I recon build responsive app is not absolutely mandatory. If the device target is purely phone, then it doesn't need the pain to build it responsive. The same goes if targeted device is tablet. If the functionnalities of your app are a bit different depending on your device, then it could be more interesting to build 2 different apps.
      BUT, if your app can be used on several device type , with different ratios but with same functionnalities, then you have to think it responsive first.
      Responsive is great but it is harder to build and harder to mantain too.

      @@AlexandrePerret Agreed, great info here. There is a sweet spot to decide whether to go responsive or not, or even 2 apps. But thinking about which best fits your project I would say is recommended.

    Nice Presentation. I'm not sure how the icon takes over for the button. You just added an icon. How does it associate with the "On Select" of the button?

    • @andrewhess123
      @andrewhess123  Рік тому

      Hi Stephan, the icon does the exact same thing as the button, just it is displayed instead of the button if the Width is > 300, because the button text may not fit. The OnSelect just navigates to the page.

    Hi Andrew, thanks for the video summarizing the use of container. Is it possible to add a DataCard directly to a container? I know this is a basic question, but I would like to confirm it with an expert like yourself so I don’t miss anything. Thanks.

      Hi Derek, so you can drop a Form which contains a datacard into a container. You would probably just want to drop a text input or some other type of Input into a Container instead of using the Datacards that way. But it will get more tricky with containers trying to place things just as you want.

    Hi Andrew, great video, but I have a question, I have an app (with 11 different screens), is there a way to convert or make that app as a Responsive app? I did not use containers, any advise, much appreciate it!

    • @andrewhess123
      @andrewhess123  Рік тому

      Hi Ryan, not easily. You will have to redesign it with containers.

    Is it possible for me to publish an app independently where I can send the link to my app and I can send this link so that people can access my app?

    • @andrewhess123
      @andrewhess123  2 місяці тому

      Power Apps is mostly for internal use, internal inside your organization. There are ways for external use but not really how Power Apps works.

      @@andrewhess123 So it's possible to publish so that people can see my app, right?

    • @andrewhess123
      @andrewhess123  2 місяці тому

      @@SisaaTech I'm not sure what you mean? Yes, it is possible for people in your M365 tenant to see your app. If you want people outside your M365 tenant they need a Power Apps license in their own tenant.
