I can't believe this is a rookie manager. One of best first year managers in years. Carlos pushes all the right buttons.
Mendoza has done an amazing job. Manager of the Year !!!
Don't forget Alvarez is only 22 years old. Even Yadier Molina & Yogi Berra had their growing pains. Give the kid a break. He's a future Super star catcher.
Really like @Marcus comment. Complimentary to your point, can't ignore fact that catchers position is super-complicated. And anyway, ALL youngsters gotta go thru growing-pains.
This guy has gotten better every day, what a great hire by Stearns, Mets are set at the top for a long time.
Take it easy, you must be new to Mets Fandom😂
@@jgambe78 I was on the field in 86 after we clinched the NL East against the Cubs, had turf in my moms freezer for months, that's how old I am.
Mendoza is terrific, but Stearns is the real hero here.
Let's keep it going let's go Mets😊😊
What a skipper for his 1st year. ⚾
Great win.
mgr of the year without question!
As long as Manager Carlos Mendoza doesn’t bring in Reliever Adam Ottavino into any game the METS want to Win.
He is the we have a 6 run lead reliever.
I feel that way about Danny young as well.
Handed Wheeler an L.....pretty impressive
🌺 🌺💐 for Mendoza
So far in amazing season, let's continue into the wild card. Round
"Hang tough, Mr. Mendoza"! "As difficult as it is, try to continue ignoring the noise".
Bien echo felicidades 🎉🎉
The walks and base running between pitches carousel shaved months off my life. From Diaz inability to even develop ANY move or fake to keep a runner close and Alvarez high school, college, and all forms of minor/ major league coaches allowing him NEVER to block ball in dirt made me completely sick to my stomach.
Love this guy. " big boy time " !
MOTY should be considered a lock for Mendoza! If he's not selected this year, then the voting committee screwed up! And I'm not being biased just becaus I'm a lifelong Mets fan.
My Mets are rollin ! Now we gotta beat Atlanta in Atlanta 2/3 hopefully a sweep would be great.. LETS GO METS 💪
But its not over yet mendoza may God help y'all 😮😮😮😮😮I just 😮😮need 😮😮
I was rather surprised Butto didn't pitch two innings. Why not? But hey, it worked, so I can't complain.
I agree about Butto pulled after only one inning. He's my #1 set-up/long reliever. Btw, just b'cuz things worked out ok, doesn't necessarily mean it was the wisest decision. But I feel conflicted about the validity of criticizing the guy managing irt on the field.

Yup. I had no confidence in the 9th with Diaz in his second inning. Lord knows, the Phillies came thisclose to tying the game or taking the lead. Maton and Diaz get two, but Butto only one? Butto is used to throwing multiple innings. Plus he looked dominant in the 7th. But hey, it worked.
Let’s go Mets .
MENDOZA TALK TO THE AWESOME AMAZING MIGHTY METS MACHINE TEAM OF THE 1973 NEW YORK METS TEAM...
THEY DID IT AND WERE
NOT AS POTENTIAL AS YOU GUYS OF 2024...
B E L I E V E ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️BASEBALL IS AWESOME 🙂😉😁🙏
I thought McGill should had pitched another inning, but it seems Carlos can do no wrong.
I think Mendoza pulls all the starters too early. Causing along and don't let start next inning, don't get it, especially low 80s pitches. Like he afraid to let pitchers throw 100 pitches.
Not thru that gauntlet
Wasn’t a fan of the decision live but in hindsight it makes sense
Who would you have gone to in that situation?
He leared his lesson in Philly....wasted 2 great starts
OMH LGM
