Came back to rewatch this vid, haven't been able to find a good condition 14g version of these over the last couple of months, but I did get a brand new set of 21g (which for throwing purposes, 100x better!) pretty cheap. Don't really care what trouble he got in, can't deny how beautiful the barrels are.
I had a crazy offer on the 2 sets I had a while back. It's always someone in Germany that's willing to pay huge amounts for the darts they want. Anyway, mine took a trip to Germany. Great darts though!
I have always liked Ted as a player in my opinion the best throwing action there is he should have won more titles. Always loved the look of his darts too and I wish I owned a set. Great review as always 👍

How's it going bud. I found this in the spam folder. Nope, I sold all my Hankey's to someone in Germany for big $$$. I just did a new video about adding weight to the de Sousa darts. Tungsten putty works great 👍🏻
I have three Sets. One 14g smooth for steeldart with cosmo fit flights pro V4 The same one again in case something breaks. And an atomized set, wich was rebuilt to a 13g M3 SoftDart Set. :)
@@WorldwideDarts You could be right. I was sure they were 26, I think all but 1 set I got from the red dragon value pack were 24 to 26gs. It might have been 1 of the other 3 that were 26. I'll have to get the wifes scales out in a bit and check

I was the same 4 years ago I had darts -itis I throw 25g was struggling so bad so I started playing soft tip i when done to 18g on soft tip it help me overcome it
Always wanted to try these, but I like my razor grip too much. I know you hate the razor grip, but it's the only grip that's suited me... a whole 14g barrel with that grip would be incredible for me! Awesome video as always though, could you maybe cover Red Dragon Scorpions next? They always looked appealing to me, but never enough to commit to buying a set. Would love to know what you think of them!
I was lucky enough to play against him back in 2014 for a single leg, during an exhibition night (also played Steve Beaton and Andy Hamilton same night. Had a chat with him afterwards and he’s a great guy, all the on stage stuff is purely for show and image.
Wow! What an awesome opportunity there! I've heard he's quite laid back away from the stage. I'd love to have a drink and a couple games with the guy. IMO he has one of the all time best throws. So smooth! 👍

He was laid back and very approachable, complimented me on my game and talked about some of his health issues he was going through at the time. Steve Beaton and Andy Hamilton we’re equally as nice to talk too as well.
Oke after seeing this video I had to get these. So this evening I called a local darts shop and they had one set of 23 grams of the hankey darts, finally I own a set! But my flights are different to yours. Should I go for the 26 or 30mm storm points?
I wonder if you can get some glasses that have a small camera on them like the Google Glass and then we'd be able to see from your perspective the Flight of the darts
I have a wall directly behind my trailing foot. My foot right foot is actually touching the wall when I throw. I was thinking of mounting a shelf on the wall right behind my shoulder and placing my camera on it. I think that would work well. Been too lazy to make it happen lol
Believe it or not... when you change the weight internally you can't notice any difference at all. The only thing you notice is that the dart is heavier. They still fly the same

@@WorldwideDarts yeah, i've only started looking recently, but about two weeks ago i got into a bidding war on a set. the final price would have cost about $150 with shipping to the US. then again, they did come with the special Hankey coffin carrying case as well, so that probably boosted the value as well, I suppose
Probably the Designa Smoothies straight barrel version. They're more like a Bunting Gen 1 darts but close enough to the Hankey's. Wish they came in lighter versions though. 18 or 20g
@@WorldwideDarts agree, stick a trident on and... Boom! I'm quite tempted to give the Gabriel Clemens darts a go for the profile as the shape looks really close. I mostly use 23g so hoping the balance would be similar.

Worldwide Darts lol I do mostly mig but I do tig here and there. Glad to see a fellow welder. I’m slowly realizing welding is a pretty big trade in the US.
@@donutboy25 Well I wouldn't call myself a welder at all but I've been around it all my life and dabbled in it a bit. I worked at Bath Iron Works in Maine where we built Naval Destroyers and they have some of the best welders in the world. I also got to design and build the worlds lightest BMX race bike a few years back but I only observed the titanium frame being welded. My skills at welding didn't go much past shop class in high school lol

I have some 26g Ted hankeys, from a red dragon value pack. I plan on sending them away to be drilled out to reduce the weight.

Definitely need new points. Either one will work, just depends on what you prefer. But the silver Storms look incredible on these darts.

The Darts would be Even More front weighted if you put a Lot of tungsten putty in there.
Perfect would be if you would fill it up halfway.
