- The Blazers have the most UNDERRATED young core in the entire NBA, and today I take on that topic, and discuss WHY they should be looked at differently.

I sure hope scoot becomes an all star.
I just want progress :-)
I think he can definitely become a Haliburton type of player, but this year is gonna be so important for him and the direction of Portland
@@pnwdevv Baron Davis is a good comp for Scoot. Imo Haliburton has top 50 or 40 player All-Time type of ceiling. Will have to see much more from Scoot before comparing him and Hali can be taken seriously
@@bkelly625 Ur definitely higher on Hali than I am, but he and Scoot share a lot of similarities. Scoot may also just be his own beast. Either way this year will be huge for him
He will in the next year or two
Can't say underrated when they haven't proven themselves. I think they're being slept on a little, maybe. It depends on if Shae IS that guy we hope. Same with Scoot. Cling and Deni could be monsters. I'm just excited for it!
Shae and Scoot have both shown flashes but I get what ur saying with the fact it's not exactly proven yet. Thats why this year will be so important. Deni will be fun to watch, and I'm stoked to see how good Clingan is on defense, and how that affects the team!
Grant and Ant are both hopefully moved by the trade deadline. This team is Scoot and Sharpe's to take the helm. They should be the starting backcourt and developed. Grant and Ant sadly will be taking valuable mins from Avdija who should be starting PF. Camara should be the starting SF. Eventually, Clingan becomes starter and this becomes versatile team. The passing with Deni, Scoot, and Clingan to catch Camara and Sharpe cutting towards basket is exciting. This team ultimately wants to be bad the next year or 2 and continue to gain high draft picks to further bolster this young core and potentially add a game changer. Playing Ant and Grant heavy mins delays developing the young core that should be playing together going through growing pains and building chemistry at the expense of winning games that Ant and Grant playing heavy mins might facilitate when they actually dont wanna be winning enough to lessen high lottery odds. This team is looking for a star to build around and its not Simons and Grant. Scoot and Sharpe must be given the keys.
I think this draft coming up will define how good the Blazers rebuild will be. If they hit well there and the young guys develop then we will be a very dangerous team.
I want to keep Ayton, I think Donovan have a couple things to improve, and I think he can do it, but give him some time, in the other hand Anfernee, I want to keep him, but they dont so they are just going to trade him.
Definitely keep him for now until Clingan shows he's to good to come off the bench
1k soon goat
YESSIR WE WILL BE THERE SOON 🔥 Thanks for being here 🙏🏽
We need a coach who understands the athletic fast paced roster we have and stop the bs iso ball schemes, we don’t revolve around dame anymore so it’s beyond time to evolve the offense. But seriously think we have some solid potential if given the right path to reaching their ceilings.
I agree, I doubt he'll be back after this season.
Too true! And yeah I’ll leave the coach aspect alone going forward, realize that’s all I’ve added to the chat on your channel so far and much more enjoyable subjects to focus on. Ha. Can’t wait to see our guys flying high and showing progress next season! 🤘🏼
Amen! Preach it!
Congrats on 1K Brodie 🙏
THANK YOU BRO! Glad you're here for the journey 🔥
Deni should be the guy. He should be the starting PF no question, but they should utilize him as the primary playmaker… similar to Luka, Cade, Tatum, or Franz. Basically he should have the ball more than any other player on the team. He basically played point for his Israeli national team for years. He could be an absolute monster as a point forward. 6’10, long athletic, great versatile defender, a deep bag, and PG like playmaking ability. He should be “the dude”.
Jalen Green and Scoot Henderson are the same player: came from the G-League Ignite, started slow in NBA,then came on,won't be surprised if both are All-Stars for years to come. They might be at least like Adrian Dantley or Alex English, great scorers on non-championship teams.
You can find some BIG fish at the bottom of the barrel
🎯
Love it
For the algorithm ;)
THE MAN 🔥👑
True title.
thx
We have a great bench!
Depth is 🔑
I love the young athletic core. Simons has to be the first man out, I bet they could swing a deal to his home town Orlando. Cole Anthony? Biggest concern for any team getting Simons is his defense. Sharpe has to be the offensive focus just because he’s the best passer, scorer and plays both ends. His defense is underrate. When he’s in attack mode on both ends “he’s a game changer” and his dunks? Wow, that dunk over LBJ his rookie year, should have been on the cover of SI! Pretty sure La Bron wanted that scrubbed from highlights and corporate helped him hide it! Can’t loose endorsement $$$ E$PN? 😂
Idky people keep saying ayton is leaving he should be the 4 trade grant and Williams and have reath who can play the 4&5 be backup have ant at 6th man and that team can compete for a championship now
Shaedon will be a super star we he had a core injury that’s why you didn’t see much from him, but he will brake out this season
I have hope as well! Gonna be FUN
I dunno. I think the front office wants them to be bad again this year so they can get some key pieces in the next draft (like Flagg). I think this season is going to be another tankathon.
I could see it going either way depending on how good/ bad they are in the first half of the season
If the organization lets them cook I think they could be a sneaky play in team next year…. I just don’t think they will let them cook this year, maybe next year
I agree, but a lot would have to align as far as progression, letting them cook, and injury luck.
Hell yeah, get Flagg next draft and turn Grant/Ayton and maybe Ant into something useful and boom.. superteam
Flagg/ Ace Bailey 🔥
Ypu forgot to mention the biggest elephant in the room, J. Grant. His trade value is at the highest now, does not meet the age group, and should be traded tomorrow.
I just assume JG will be gone by the end of the season, hopefully by the trade deadline, and really hopefulyl before the season even starts haha
I absolutely love Ant but I don’t think he fits with the group and style they want to run (I hope I’m wrong) I say trade him to the Bucks for MarJon and a pick
Idk about that trade, but I agree with loving Ant but he just doesnt fit
Deni is the star
Best player on the team next year?
I hope your right to but im not impressed by scoots game yet. His ability to stay healthy. I hope he stays humble and dont go out and tattoo himself up like the rest of these clowns. People get tired of that. Then they go talking god and stuff. Little do they know in the bible it says not to mark your body all up. Ive done it to but just once. But these players seem like theyre in competition with them. Come on
Mediocre not going anywhere and Scoot is a bench player in the future..
Saying this after 1 season where he was hurt a handful of games is insane
I don’t believe in Scoot as much as you. I don’t think he will ever be as good as Luka, Shai, Ja, Brunson, Halliburton, Fox, Maxey. Not sure if he can be as good as LaMelo Ball, Cunningham, or Garland. If we don’t get lucky in 2025 draft, and end up with 3 or 4 pick, we might be drafting his replacement
I don't really think MVP/ Top 5 player in the league is likely to be clear haha. But making the all star team a few/ small handful of times could be realistic. Deaaron Fox or Garland would be my comps all of right now.
Luka is way better than all those others,Scoot will become an All-Star player in the next year or two.
I get being a homer but bruh. The Blazers are trash from 1-15 and a wife beater as a head coach. I had them in the 20s last year for wins and I don't see much more from them this upcoming season. Also, Portland has shown to be a place players HAVE to be as opposed to a place they WANT to be and so if anyone turns into a star or even a good role player will bounce first chance they get. So no, until Portland drafts another all-time great, they will bottom feed.
You can find a way to make it sad if you try hard enough lol. I appreciate the comment but it's just wrong. Players may not desire to be traded here like LA or Boston/ NY, but once they're here, there't typically nothing but praises from the players. Same goes for the coach. I hope Chauncey is gone before next off season, but players love playing for him. Also insane to act as if they don't have their next all time great when you've seen less than 100 games from each of Scoot and Shaedon.
Jalen Green isn't a star
Yeah ur probably right, point I was making was they're young core is just so good. But they're all like right on the border of all star level rn haha
