@@Calories_To_Calibers Naw he's got a point. After 25 years the guy has no backbone. Didn't tell his whole truth at all even after they're already adults when clearly it's what they wanted. Didn't attempt to reconnect with them once they were 18. This guy failed at every step. Put up little to no fight and did little to defend himself in the early part of the story. 25 years later he doesn't seem much better off and they had to be the ones to reach out. He's pretty trash.

People forget that forgoing all others is just ONE vow in a marriage and if one or more of the other vows are broken by one of the parties then the marriage, for all intents and purposes, is over.
Thus, they still might be married in the "eyes of the law" but aren't in the Spirit of the marriage. Some states also have separation agreements since the laws require a long period of time before a divorce can happen. Some states consider the marriage over before the actual court-signed judgment if one or both of the parties jump through the required legal hoops of that state.
So, if they are separated with no intention of ever reconciling, most might not see "cheating" being a thing any longer, and in reality, it isn't actually "cheating" any longer.
