That machine looks better than new. Sounds very good. I have a 2004 Murray's 40 inch cut, with a 25 horsepower V twin Kohler. It came with a Briggs 12.5 horsepower. It went bad, and was cheaper to up grade the engine. Was worth it. 😊
Great video. Quick tip; what I have always used to attach the foot pads to the fender is self tapping sheet metal screws. They almost always thread right in to the hole and usually come with a washer. Loving the videos man!
Thank you for the compliment! I really enjoy the painting process- I try to just keep the painting simple, by using spray paint- but I figure that anyone can do the same!
Congratulations on hitting the 1k threshold buddy you deserve it. Not a lot of viewers realise the amount of time that goes into putting out a good quality video on YT. Keep up the good work.
Much appreciated my friend! Yes, it does take a lot of time. The video editing has been more fun than I thought it would be- but filming myself work on machines has been the hardest part. It’s difficult to document the diagnosis and repair process so that the final outcome makes sense on film
I think you find rust oleum clear coat does a much better job on those plastics. It will also make faded paint look new. Great job on the paint match. BTW the clear coat has been holding up for a few years on the Craftsman GT restoration projects I keep use and store outside.
Good to know! I used rustoleum clear coat for the first time on a recent project (1991 Craftsman lt4000). I thought it looked great. I’ll try to use it more in the future!
3 post solenoids get ground through the mount and the tab you saw was power and in the switch was to put power from the battery side of solenoid and when you turn the swotch on powers the solenoid and connects the two sides. On a 4 post solenoid its the same but the ground is on a second small tab either tab is power or ground they won't matter
As a recent subscriber, I just wanted to register my opinion on length of videos. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t care how long they are, as long as they cover the subject completely. I don’t mind multi-part videos if it’s easier to edit and upload, as long as they are titled the same and named “Part 1”, “Part 2”, etc. I have absolutely no use for Shorts. Just so you know, I’ve been teaching myself small engine work for 2.5 years and have averaged 150 hours per month watching UA-cam videos over that time period. I’m subbed to dozens of different channels.
That’s so awesome to hear! That’s exactly what I’m going for. I’m no expert, but thanks to a community of awesome UA-camrs, I’ve learned enough at least, to fix a bunch of mowers!
Great looking trailer, Kyle! I’m working on getting one myself. What dimensions is yours? Would you prefer a larger one, especially since your new ZT has a huge deck? I was thinking 5 X 8 would probably work for me.
@@Kylebythecreek even 5 min like in vid and full throttle like ya had it going on the drive around yard will warp the head , it will happen quicker than ya think . Trust me take the minute to put cover back on

Unlike so many other channels, I really like seeing the restore on all the painting.

@@KylebythecreekIt is a step by step process that requires proper organisational skills to make it come out right.
With putting out so much long video's, you definately deserve more subscribers!👍
Very much appreciated! The channel is starting to grow. Just passed 1k today!
When you started it I said “damn well that’s Kyle by the creek!” 😂
And it ran so well! Which, by the way, I had nothing to do with!
Kyle the little tab on the solenoid is the positive side of the key switch the solenoid is automatically grounded when attached to the Mower
Oh, yeah, and I have no use for music! I’m here to learn, not to be entertained, so you can totally skip the music and I won’t mind a bit. 😉🔧👍
I’m going to keep using music.

Also great for deck deflectors as well. Even a rusty spring will look way better with a little clear coat.

Awesome!!!!!! Mr. Lucky Kyle by the creek!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Rick!

Been a fan since 2019 ✊🏻
Came out real good
Thank you!
Nice work!💯👍🏾
Thank you!
Good job, the tractors look great 👍
great job kyle, love the scotts tractors. those fasteners can be purchased at automotive store. fairly cheap :)
Good to know! I figured, I just never looked
good job
Kyle did it look like the wiring has been messed with. Probably swap a couple wires around to fix that :) Looks great :)
For the treads I would use body trim grommets
Yeah, I think they are one of the Dorman products, auto body supplies, would have them as well :)

Hard starting, maybe needed valves adjusted
Not a bad idea to get it for 1/3 the original asking price
👍

This one is a 4x8. I have a larger trailer too that the rzt was brought home on
Probably would have less issues with the key switch if you didn't use those Ryobi tools
I like my Ryobi tools!
Was there a intermittent short in the key switch?
Again dude your running it too long without cover on , your harming them engines , they overheat quick !!!!!!!!
The engine is fine. I’m not mowing my lawn like that, just testing it for a short amount of time
