It depends on the volume of water you are trying to pump... 2-1/2 fittings are much more $$ expensive than 2 inch... you could make the outlet 1 inch and reduce the brass check valve to 1-1/4, but then you would need 1-1/4 drive pipe and 5/8 delivery pipe... this will make a 1-1/4 pump and I have here 1-1/2 pump. :) I'm using tire rubber now and it has no problems at all... it's the silicone stuff that is not good on impact application.
@@minovationThat's awesome! Have you compared the replacement seal vs hard leather Bohumir uses? I believe he used two layers. Planning on building one but I wish I had your welding skills and/or machinist friends 😅
Thank you about your trick valve waste.
1 1/4" outlet is big for 2x1 1/4 bushing reducer. It is better 2 1/2x 1 1/4 bushing reducer, rubber or disc will last longer.

Hi, can you make a list of the parts needed to make the check valve? Great video!
This video covers the build and all the parts. ua-cam.com/video/hZfrjkjstzE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Did your waste valve design happened to be inspired by/ from Bohumir Stehlik? Appreciate the insight🤝🏼
yes
