A long time ago I gave away my HORI PS3 driving setup. I wish I had never done that. GT5 and GT6 are a lot harder with manual shifting, gas, brake, and steering wheel, but BOY are they ever a lot more fun to play that way.
Objection. Gamecube's bean button+giant A button makes button combinations harder than the diamond layout. Try run and jump on Super Mario World on it.
[Try4ce] Objection! The only reason Super Mario World and other SNES games are hard to play on a GameCube controller is because the buttons are translated literally. If Y and B were remapped to Y and A or B and A, it would be no problem. It's just a coincidence that the Y-B standard for SNES games is one of the unworkable GameCube combinations. There are still overall more useful combinations with a GameCube layout, but it's true that not all combinations work. The game just has to be designed with workable combinations in mind.
A note about lithium batteries: They are a far better choice than alkaline for more reasons than just leakage. Alkaline batteries perform WORSE the more power you try to draw from them at once. Something like a Game Gear will last FAR LONGER on lithium batteries. Additionally, rechargeable lithium AA batteries do exist, but always look at reputable brands first, not their quoted capacity. Just like all rechargeable lithium batteries, manufacturers tend to lie about capacity... A lot.
So… is Blue Retro Saturn with M30 technically less latency than the RetroBit wireless? I feel like the retrobit has a bit of lag, and that controller dies all the time if I don’t use it for a while. Whereas M30’s stay alive forever… so I am thinking of maybe switching to a BlueRetro and M30 for my Saturn wiresss solution..
That wired Hyperkin Cadet Premium NES controller is a great replacement for the OEM Original. I don't think it 'looks' as good, but it's a bit more comfortable and the buttons will feel better thanks to the silicone membranes being brand spanking new Vs an official 30+ year controller. Wasn't a big fan of the Hyperkin SNES Scout wired controller though. The Start & Select buttons were incredibly mushy, and there was just a little too much click and snappyness with most of the buttons, nor did it look as good aesthetically. Shoulder buttons were nice though! :P
I've only played the first DKC Returns game, and to me, it felt like it was a completely different game that got a Donkey Kong Country skin thrown on it at the last minute. Still a good game, but it just does not feel or play like the classic games at all.
They all should take AA. Xbox 360 and beyond did it good with AA battery's. IDK built in charger for AA battery's. Easy to find at any shop. Don't need to order special battery. I don't get why third party manufactures lack features that official controllers have. third party manufactures need to be more multi platform as well. I see some that are. Most are not. Still looking for a good Xbox style controller for the ps5. Why did they make the ps5 controller so big. ISsue with switch joycon and house of the dead remake, alien panic. third party controller and pro controller worked better with that game for motion.
Do enjoy your videos, but I can’t help but notice how bad you guys are at video games in your livestreams. So when you guys are picky about 1st party peripherals it’s like, “why so picky if you still suck at games?” edit: I apologize for being rude
[Try4ce] Well, just goes to show we need all the help we can get with good accessories! We don't stream to show off our skills, but we like to think we have perseverance. We can beat anything we set our minds to, just takes a bunch of tries!
And here I was thinking that the only thing that matters about a hobby or other recreational activity is that the person have fun. Apparently you have to have a skill level sufficient to impress some random internet douche. Oh was I being rude? My apologies…
Original release date 11/27/2028... eh :D

Love the intro music.
These videos never get old for me. It’s great to have these episodes compiled into a single video.
Man, we're watching content from four years in the future!

The boomerang controller sure is dumb looking, but somehow it's still a lot less so than the regular n64 controller.
Video from the future!!!!!!
First!.... First real comment at least. If I owned a video game store, I'd have this playing in the background.
I really wanted to like the brawler 64 but I just thought it was awful
Original Release Date 11/27/2028? Thinking ahead there guys.

edit: I apologize for being rude
That’s pretty rude. People can want comfortable controllers no matter the skill level.
