    Being from the United States, I myself have a deep appreciation for trains from the "other side of the pond". I love the clash of those older locomotives, the Class 37 or 31 being my absolute favorite! Lot's of different movements with plenty of different loco's and trainsets in this video. Excellent video! Thanks for sharing and keep it up! -Dash 7

      I just find it funny that most of the freight moved on rails in the UK is now done by the Deutsche Bahn. The German Federal Railway. Also Class 66 is best class

    Cor its lovely to see my fave childhood ride Hastings DEMU 1001 just always a shame its got them pot bellied coaches to go with her that detract from her sleek slim lines, many a sweet memory of 1001 thundering out of Elmstead Woods tunnel up towards Grove Park where I would be stood with my little Box Brownie and she'd whoosh on thru like a bat out of hell, seeming always that bit more grand than the equally loved 4CEP's that alternated on the half hour mark, 22 for Charing Cross, 33 for Cannon St and this old lady in particular I in later commuting years was lucky to sometimes pick up at Grove Park once I had been on the signal phone to me dad at London Bridge explaining I was late for work and the poor driver leaving the tunnel at Elmstead Woods getting a short sharp double yellow, single yellow and a red at Platform 2 at Grove Park where I hopped on swiftly enduring the glares from over at plat 3 from the poor EPB sufferers hehe Back in them days railways were run for the staff not the passengers me dad would say, driver and guard didn't care they got paid either way happy days indeed :D

    When I worked on the buses we had bus spotters on a Sunday morning looking for a particularly number. All the buses were exactly the same.. Nice paint jobs but knackered where you couldn't see. It was like three wheels on my wagon and I'm still rolling along.

    Nothing sounding better than these 2 Maybachs revving up at the end of the video, no trouble on load 12.
    But enjoyed the rest of the video as well, nice mix of mainline, railtour and preservation action!

    Noob question from a non-English speaking native: What's that thrash and clag you read about on lots of british rail videos?

    • @Banjostrings07Productions
      @Banjostrings07Productions  7 років тому +4

      The thrash is when the diesel locomotive is on full power making lots of noise and the clag is the fumes it gives off. Not sure why people like it but they just do. Hope this helps.
