EMPTY Home is an EYESORE for the NEIGHBORHOOD so I turned it into the BEST looking lawn on the block

- The sidewalk, curbs, and grass were SO overgrown on this property. I decided to knock on the door to see if the homeowner wanted me to fix it up for them. However, when I knocked, I noticed that the inside was completely empty. So I knocked on some of the neighbors doors and they said it has been vacant for quite some time. They also told me that they don't remember the last time it's been cut. So I completely transformed this yard for the neighborhood and turned it into one of the best looking lawns on the block.

If I'm not watching someone mow some grass, I'm watching someone rebuild antique watches. UA-cam has a lot to answer for.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am guilty of the same crimes!!!
Now I need to watch antique watches getting rebuilt 😅
Wristwatch Revival is awesome! He does not fail.
@@cwpowell9453 100% AGREE!
You don't just mow the grass, you create a piece of art. Anyone can mow, but not many take the time to edge, trim, and make such near perfect lines. Great transformation and keep up the great work you do for everyone.
Wonderful job!
It would have been great if the grass clippings had been removed in the parkway
I don't see any.The driveway looks clean to me!! Geez!!
it’s amazing how a freshly cut lawn makes a home look 10x more presentable and appealing
And it tends to discourage squatters.
I lived next door to two neglected lawns for 30 years. It is so frustrating. I spent hours trying to clean them up alone. A few times other neighbors helped. I am not a healthy person and several times I really overdid it in the heat. Now we live in a new neighborhood and there are no neglected lawns. I loved our old neighborhood because of the many great people and friends. It was just those two pigsties that caused me stress. So when I see you do this I can totally imagine how thrilled the neighbors are with your work.
I always look forward to your videos. Your skill at edging, trimming and mowing shows that you truly care about attention to detail. So glad that you could improve their neighborhood. You’re a blessing to so many, great job!
The fact that not one of those neighbors cleaned up that sidewalk is pretty stunning
I was thinking the same. Then again while mowing your lawn, mow their's. The back is fenced, just mow the front. Especially where the utility box is, and those two mailboxes don't belong to the homeowner. If the neighbor's are concerned about liability, at least mow the common ground and take care of the sidewalk.
@@maggiemae9099 lol
That is wrong is'nt it. Someone should have edged that sidewalk for the kids. I know neighborhoods where the neighbors would call the county and have the county come in and clean up the front yard and charge the house owner/real estate agent for it. Young man did a great job. FOR FREE.
@@maggiemae9099 😂😂
@@deannespuhl3948 👍
The AMAZING thing is that you not ONLY cleaned up the "visible" front yard and boulevard, but also transformed the "unseen" backyard as well. That, sir, is called INTEGRITY. You ROCK big time.
Nice job! You needed a powerful vacuum to suck up all the grass clippings. Still amazes me why there isn't a neighbor who could mow it once and awhile!
in a while.
One of the neighbors could have raked it up.
My neighbors, knowing that my son had a broken wrist and I was in an ankle boot due to having a chunk of bone lodged in my Achilles tendon, called the city instead of asking if we needed help. Our lawn didn’t get anywhere close to being as bad as this one. Of course, the same neighbor would come in our yard to turn his lawnmower around right after my son had finished our yard-the neighbor had his blade down to the ground. I’m really happy I live in a townhome now and someone else is responsible for the yard work!
Suck up grass clippings? Are you out of your MIND? With that stupid passive aggressive comment. You people who know NOTHING about grass need to zip it. Leaving the clippings returns nutrients to the ground. Furthermore...WHY???? It's fucking free and he works all day.
Huge improvement. I’ll bet the neighbors are happy with your work. Charming house and looks like someone really cared for it in the past.
Hello cee! Can I ask you a question?
What an amazing transformation! I bet the neighborhood kids are so happy to have their sidewalk cleaned off and safe again! Great Job!
I hope so too! Thanks for watching!
Very nice job, Spencer! I know it would be more work, but do you have a grass catcher for your mower? It would look that much better! Either way, another excellent result! ❤
As a homeowner yourself I’m sure you know how important it is and what a blessing to the neighbors you are when you transform these abandoned properties. Thanks Spencer, for another spectacular job!!!!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely!! Thanks for watching!
25:31 You are truly amazing! ❤❤❤
To bad the city wouldn't take the grass for free, if at least bagged. That was definitely overgrown and looks so much nicer. Even a sidewalk for the public to walk on. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
People don't help neighbors out anymore, they don't even know who they are. Thank you for all your hard work
You are so right
I don’t understand why neighbors didn’t at least run a mower along the sidewalk every once in a while! Love those crisp edges! Too bad you didn’t have time to pick up or mulch in some of those cuttings, but it’s a great improvement!
This is a country where people do the leaset they can get away with
I was taught to not get in someone else's business. Or do anything to property that isn't mine ie homes cars bicycles backpacks etc
Sidewalk to the street is public property
@@BillColeExperience Woow. Isn't that sad.
Just a thought. Maybe the neighbors pay someone to cut their yard and can’t afford to cut the neighbors too.
Spencer, you have a kind heart and do outstanding work to help improve neighborhoods. People in your community are fortunate to have your services, because there are plenty of landscapers who would never do what you do. A neglected house and yard can easily become an eyesore and distraction for everyone, so stepping up to edge, mow and trim make a world of difference. It certainly helps to have the right equipment. I have done similar work with just a push mower, and it is hard work. We hope this video inspires more people-not just landscapers-to give a little to help others. All the best.
Holy crap on crackers...look at that GRASS...YIKES.... PLEASE PICK UP DEAD CUT GRASS
Helped restore an old Soldier's faith in humanity. Good on ya!!! Sappers Forward!!!
Another spectacular job, Spencer! Your edging is pure perfection! Love your videos and we always know the afters are always going to be beautiful! Thank you all you do for people and the communities. Bet the neighbors are overjoyed with this cleanup. God Bless you and yours!
Thank you so much Sharon!
Awesome job Spencer. Curious if on some of these smaller yards you don’t think about doing a mow and then doing another pass throwing a bag on the chute to get some of the extra grass. I was just thinking that after seeing you blow the grass off on this one at some point it doesn’t really have anywhere else to go. Anyway I know the bag is a hassle but just curious maybe after the initial mow on a small yard to throw one on after. You do enough. Great job as usual!
Leaving glass clippings on the lawn like that is a great way of providing free fertiliser for the grass. So he might as well fertilise it for free while he's there.
Two much grass clippings left, they would just blow all over the neighbours not a good look..
@@squidee_ Some grass. Not that much.
A lot of new blades are mulching blades and and cut grass in fine small pieces.
In this scenario, that is way too much left over grass to do the lawn any good. It would block out the sun, create a thatching issue which would encourage more weeds to grow.
After watching this fella cut grass I watch some other fella trim cow hoofs. UA-cam is something else. Showing me things I never thought I would like watching.
Worst part a lot of these properties are usually bank owned by this point and they are rarely in a hurry to sell them leading to stuff that looks like this. I saw it a lot in 2008 & 2009 and considering shortages in housing it's disgusting they let thing deteriorate like this and everyone suffers.
Points for not cutting down trees, bushes, and flowers! Liked this one!
What I think of with this I don't remember noticing before is that when you finished I can't say I would have known this was vacant. Not only was this great for the neighborhood and lawn work for the homeowner, but you may be saving from vandalism typical to vacant homes! Great job!
You are such an angel. Some people just need help. Thank God there is you!
Another beautiful job, Spencer. You put so much pride in your work and it really shows. You are really an expert when it comes to edging. We need more like you in the world. Thank you.
Wow, thank you!
Another super transformation! Hard to believe that the neighbors didn't at least keep the sidewalk cleaned up. You did a great job as usual
Wow! That looks amazing. Normally, when you watch home improvement shows, the before and after have $$$ changes to make the after house look good. You just did landscaping and the after is mind blowing.
So true! Thanks for watching!
I am sorry but I hate leaving all the grass cuttings left on the lawn. I think it only looks finished when clippings are up and hauled away. Otherwise, it would be a good job.
Wow, what a chunky, thick lawn! Glad your equipment survived. Beautiful transformation, and such a cute house. Love those pristine edges! You’re awesome Spencer! Thank you for all you do. You are very much appreciated! ❤️👍💕
I pray someone offered you something to drink.
You show so much respect for your viewers in the quality and care you put into the before and after Thank you so much for all you do.
I appreciate that!
Another awesome transformation!! Excellent work!
I am a housekeeper and I wish I could do this for people for free. It is my goal to one day. Seeing the whole transformation of someone as I deep clean and declutter their home room by room, especially if they have a hoarding disorder, is absolutely life affirming. Seeing them start to bathe more, dress more thoughtfully, have a smile for the first time, seeing the relief in their soul and seeing them experience hope for the first time in a very very long time.... there are no words that can quite describe it!❤ I have seen it be the start, the catalyst needed, to affect many other changes long due and it is a privilege to be a small part of that.
I can only imagine that as people look out on their once sorely neglected lawn and see how beautiful you have made it it very well could have the same healing effect!
Very wonderful work you are doing!😊
Thank you for what you do as well. God knows there are so many desperately in need and it makes such a difference in their health, mentally and physically. Bless you.
Cleaning up edges makes an amazing difference. Cant believe I never thought about that before youtube :-) That much grass should be bagged though. Lots of lumps blowing around on that lawn, smothering the grass.
You forgot the grass clippings that’s not like spencer although you do a great job for the community ❤
Spencer, actually, this looked like a pretty nice property that just happened to be abandoned. As usual, you did a nice job on all 4 sides, however, I thought you left way to much cut grass on the lawn, especially near the sidewalk. Why didn't you use the grass catching attachment?
I enjoyed watching this video as much as you enjoyed making it.
Love your channel, Spencer. I always look forward to your posts. God Bless you for being such a good person. I would love to have you in my neighborhood.
Thank you so much, it means a lot to me!
What a HUGE blessing you are to the homeowner's in each community you go to
Just wondering why you left so much cut grass clumped up in the front
Was expecting you to pick up the grass, other than that another great job.
I was thinking the same thing. That's a lot of grass. It would have looked better if he picked up the grass
Just shows that some people won't ever be happy
Do you always pick up your grass when you guys mow if not kick rocks...
On today’s episode of “random UA-cam commenter expects better of man doing a community service”…
There was a black snake by the front flower bed around 17:25😱
You do such a great job on these abandoned homes, I keep hoping it helps them to find new owners.
I hope so too!
Awesome work mate,
be careful as in the video at 17:30 there can be seen a snake coming out of that bush and could'nt see where it went. It can be seen at the edge where your camera is placed.
Dang dude good eye
I’ve watched it over & over & never see a snake
@@trishajohnson2385 if you look at the bottom of the bricks you can see a little black snake barely

Do you ever rake up all the grass clippings? Would look better if you did.
Other than that, good job.
17:13 Interestingly, this house has an exterior door handle, like it's known in many European areas. I'm surprised to have seen one _here_ (where ever you made this caption; FL maybe).
Wonderful job Spencer! 😊 We have snow and ice and fog so it seems odd to see you in green grass weather!
I can’t believe I’m watching a 30 minute lawn mowing video……yet…here I am! 😊
Judging by the number of times your edger got clogged, don't you think it might be better to use the weed whip on those edges before you use the edger?
I mow edges first b4 edging. And a yard that small needs a smaller mower with a bag.
What about the grass clippings?
I mean it's vast improvement and looks really nice from what it was. And though it was a free cleanup, personally If I'm gonna do something I'd do it all the way. Would've been better to bag the clippings. Still a nice job though.
Hey Spencer! Love the channel. I have a question for you and understand I am NOT knocking anything about you or your efforts I’m just curious:
Your work habits have you spending a lot of time swapping between equipment. From an efficiency standpoint would it save you any time sticking to one piece of equipment until it’s is not needed? Please don’t take this the wrong way. I’m OCD and I’m always looking at ways to improve efficiency. Keep up the good work.
Have you thought about bagging your clippings?
Good question 🤔 it might save time with the blower after mowing.
As a professional landscape maintenance person yourself, I’m confident the way you left the job was far below your own high standards. Surely you have an explanation why you left the lawn clippings? I really do hope you won’t become a “mow & blow & go” for UA-cam financial gain.
Hope neighbour doesn't complain if the wind blows grass clippings onto their property--HA Great job!!
Hello kaken ! Can I ask you a question?
People complaining about not picking up the grass.
It's a free job, why complain.
You guys are lucky down there. If I neglected my lawn for that long, it would die off. It looks really good. Couple of questions: Do you ever have to rake up the grass after it's that overgrown? And what is that handle attachment on your string trimmer? Was it OEM or did you get it as a stand-alone product?
I know right, I was watching, waiting to see him take out the rake and start raking and bagging the grass and he jumps into the truck and drives off lol
Yes it’s a great service that he’s doing and I love the before and after but I do wish he would rake up all the clippings it just makes it look unfinished.
Don't know why you constantly blow the clippings all over the place. Then you mow and push everything back on the sidewalks, and then you have to blow it back again. Think you're making more work for yourself. Do the neighbors ever complain about all the dust? Why not attach the bag on the mower and do a completely finished job. The way you left it looks terrible.
Merry Christmas , Happy New Year , it will be lucky for us if you watch our video and leave a comment on it , have a good day
It’s a Darwin’s grip. I got one for my string trimmer, makes a world of difference, especially if your 6 feet or taller (it allows you to trim while standing up straight, and eliminates back pain from bending while trimming). I think it was about $60, totally worth every penny.
BTW, I tried the AG1 that you talked about and love it. Going on my 5th month and it has made my life much more livable. Thanks for the recommendation.
Such an outstanding transformation of this yard. Watching your videos always brings a smile to my face. Keep up the amazing work 🙏
Spencer, I always have loved your channel because of the wonderful work you do, but suddenly why are you leaving all the lawn clippings behind. Very disappointing. Sorry for sounding negative but this was not like you.
Love this channel and what you do! Keep being awesome good sir! :)
Thanks! Will do!
Whilst I highly commend the work you do it would be so much nicer and more professional if you collected the clippings especially as there was so much of it. If you can't then maybe leave it? It doesn't do the lawn any good when there is so much and what was looking like a brilliant transformation was let down by a scruffy finish. Sorry SB. 😔
I wondered why with the trash cans up by the garage you didn’t gather up as much of that dirt or grass and put it in the trash cans and just leave it in the trash cans or others to blow it all over the yard and just leave it? Thank you for what you do!
Someone pointed out in another video that putting the soil back in the grass helps with preventing top soil erosion. Mulching the grass is also really good for the lawn too. 🙂
I wondered the same thing until I saw that.
Assuming the house is actually vacant, like the neighbors think, they may not have trash pick up, despite having trash cans.
It's good to see someone like Spencer turn a mess a ugly yard into a respectful yard it's like a form of art a masterpiece 👍👍✌️ way to kick ass Spencer ✌️
Spencer great job as always, have you ever thought about doing a complete make over of one of these properties, such as a mow, house driveway and side walk power washing...????
Oooh! I'd love to see that, too. Great idea 💡 👍
Yeah you can start at my house 🥰. Never mind. Our HOA would never allow our yards to get in that shape.
u do excellent work.. but I can tell u gettin tired of these hoarder houses vs abandoned ones.. I dont blame u.. u use to bag the grass.. cut weed/trees growin into ppl houses.. lol.. now u cut.. blow.. go.. lmao.. like I said I dont blame u cause in 2-3 weeks its all comin back until somebody else want a youtube video cause these homeowners/renters dont care
Happy free Mow Friday y'all!!

Awesome work, as always 👏 👍 Thank you for the video and have a wonderful weekend 😀 God bless 😇
Thanks! You too!
The thing that is so sad - the homes are just so livable. Why are they just sitting there? I get it that some are just too far gone, but most have excellent bones to work with but I guess a lot of people want new huge home. 😢😢😢
I like what you do, nice work buddy.
Thank you so much!
Wonder why you don't rack up all that grass. I like your channel that's been a question for me. You do a great job for these communities and I will continue to watch.
Love what you do! Could you maybe do more elderly/veterans who might really need help ?
I will always prioritize the elderly and veterans! When I go up and knock on the doors you never know who lives there and what help they might need! Thank you so much for the support!
Do you keep tabs on the yards you do?? See if there is some kind of up keep !!
Why do you leave so much grass chipping on the grass, especially when the grass is so overgrown? Great job! The edging looks nice!
as a property owner I don't understand how the property owners NEXT to this abandoned place would not at bare minimum keep the front mowed so it doesn't affect the aesthetics of the neighborhood and invite unwanted activity in an unoccupied house....
Because people are so wrapped up in their own lives they don't care to make time for things like that it's easier to COMPLAIN than to fix the problem.
So very kind of you to do this home. You never know if that's the one thing that's holding family members back from being able to sell it. I'm sure the neighbors are so very grateful for the work you did on this abandoned home. ❤️
So much for neighbors helping neighbors huh...... awesome thanks 👍🙏
Thank you for sharing your blessings with those in need and for sharing them on UA-cam. I enjoy the work that you do to help others, and it inspires me to see others share their blessings and talents!
Hello Maryann! Can I ask you a question?
The clipping & "mulch" will biodegrade and put nutrients back into lawn. Less chemicals, more nature.
Fantastic transformation, would like to have seen the clippings cleaned up.
He did it for free it still looks better than it did
@@buntaskunta I agree, but it wouln't have taken much time or work to do it.

Spencer, I just discovered & subscribed to you today. I have never commented on a video before but I just have to say THANK YOU! You are certainly a hard working, detailed, skilled young man with a BIG heart! As a Realtor, I know the neighborhood appreciates it and the families with financial and physical needs appreciate it. I was trying to place your city - 1st video I guessed TX and 2nd video, I guessed FL. When I found out you were in Wichita (my birthplace) I just smiled. :) Now back to work to my job LOL
Thats awesome! Thanks for watching! This video is in Florida, but I live in Wichita! Thanks for the support!
You always do such a nice job, I don’t understand why you leave so much dead grass behind. It would look so much nicer if you bagged it up. 😊
PGTips looked a lot better shame the grass cuttings weren’t raked up !!! As there seemed quite a lot 😮
It looks great, until the next day when all that freshly cut green grass turns brown. I get it's a free job, but consider picking up the grass....
Hi Spencer, love how methodically you work, straightening the edges, trimming them back before blowing the excess back, creating clean open spaces! It really is very soothing and relaxing. Another transformation, thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
It would be great if you removed the grass clippings after mowing. It would look so much better!
Great job! But doesn’t that dead grass/weeds begin to stink after a while?
Why do you leave all the messy grass clippings. Its gross . The kids, the pets , everyone drags that mess into the house. That cinderblock house is splattered with grass clipping dust.
Thank you for not leaving all the grass clippings in the street!! As a rider I can tell you how dangerous it is when people do that as they are extremely slippery! Love watching your videos 😊
The owner of the property should be maintaining the property. The "City" should mandate it.
I am not a lawn care professional, but I have worked in the emergency room before. I realize that 99 percent of the time you can clean out a tool without turning it off and without gloves and be just fine. But all it takes is one situation where a bird lands on the trigger or it falls just the wrong way and your entire career is gone.
Holy cow! The place is a freaking fortress. Cinder block walls, bars on the windows.. just sayin
Safety note: you really should turn the edger off before clearing stringy weeds from the blade. What if you just happen to brush the trigger against a tall weed while you have your fingers near the blade?
You shouldn’t discharge clippings into the road! Very unsafe for motorcycles
I norice you never vacuum up the clippings..you just blow them onto the lawn..why
Grass is growing. Spencer is cutting the edges and mowing. The world is okay.
looks like a great ad for one of those rechargeables gadgets (which aren't even portable to stay charged) and Yes thats about as bad as it comes. great efforts and results. Am a big fan of gadgets
Live snake at 17:30! It snuck out the front corner of the bedding area. It was probably the baby of the snake that shed the skin later in the video.
Why not remove the lawn trimmings it looks like you took a green lawn and killed it. And you totally nuked that neighbors driveway
Except for leaving a ton of clippings and neglecting the shrubs in the front of the house, a terrific job.
