- Trading in Diablo IV (D4) is restricted. But IS IT?! Some legendary items spawn with rather odd properties...

1:43 - a millisecond on that time reveals "adventurer's helm, magic helm, 1 item power, 1 armor, sell value 1, durability 100/100"
sick channel my dude im glad the algo recommended ill definitely be tuning in for more d4 content keep it up
would appreciate your take on the recent d4 data mined info 🙂
Wow I'm speechless. Real money transactions for a beta, I think there are better words than "weird" for these people.
You should of seen the Diablo 3, big money got thrown around in those beta's just for keys.
Nice worldboss footage. The two times I attempted it (at 25 on Veteran) I was stuck with 2 lvl 13's and a 17, and a 22. Not even near a full group of 12. It was impossible to deal the DPS neccessary to defeat it in time. It was very frustrating.
all the answers i was looking for. subscribed
Devs have already made a comment on this last weekend, saying that its a bug that some of them are not account bound and they are going to fix it.
I have a feeling the issue is a bug that you unintentionally caught in this video. Freeze frame on 4:08-4:09 and you will see the mouse over seems to believed the item to just be magic
Good spot
I was actually surprised we didn't see bots sitting in town advertising.
I just realized the same today, on the last day of the beta :D
So that thing you posted in discord shaped itself into a video ha, let's get the popcorn then! :D
Let's go top secret
It sure did, brother. Investigating the REAL sh*t out here :P
@@whiskeySe7en Hell yeah! :D
I wonder if it was a unique drop but it rolled ledge because you wasn’t high enough level to get a unique since the drop rates where massively buffed during game.
You know, I've been pretty solid on the free trade or not playing camp, but if they end up with them being tradable until upgraded/used and then bring char or account bound I'll extend the olive branch of at least playing it before deciding whether or not it's gonna replace my d2 time.
@@RocknRoIla who said anything about bots? If trading = bots go play eternium or one of those other mobile games where one person can find everything in a few months time by themselves.
Also yes the drop rates are high in the beta, devs confirmed they turned drop rates up for beta only so items can be tested
I'd love free trade. But keep in mind what makes it fun is when the players dictate the price of an item not what blizzard says the item costs. So if you buy power at least buy it from another human being
At first I thought it was non class specific legos. That was the only thing I saw
A wild guess here:
If this is intentional at all and not some sort of a bug - it could be like the drops in WoW raids. There if it drops from a boss then the item is soulbound, while if it's from a trash mob - it is bind on equip. In the case of D4 it is more likely to be accound bound (instead of soulbound) and no "bind on equip" but rather "bind on upgrade" (and most likely bind on "reroll", imprint/reprint).
I would guess that there's one of two things happening here:
There are legendaries that are unique to certain elites found around the world, and these might have a different categorization in code that caused them to not be blacklisted from trading like regular legendaries were, or
There was some sort of weird mix up where it's supposed to only be unique items that drop from those elites and because we couldn't get to level 50, they dropped weirdly coded legendaries instead
But also, nobody except for the internal devs at Blizz are even going to have a clue as to what's actually happening or even whether or not it was intentional unless they do a blog post about all of their open beta findings post-fixing
hope that goes to the actual release
This is how it should be! free trading was such a big part of d2..
+1 for free trade. You should be able to trade anything and everything including currencies, obols, mats, everything that is not a quest item. That opens up a lot of the game for people that aren't super skilled or fast. If you can't be the guy rushing to first ubers, be the guy farming keys. If you can't be the guy farming keys, be the guy farming gems and low runes for crafting. In D4, you might not feel confident in your ability to take on world events, but you can be the guy farming and selling obols or selling currencies. I am a big proponent of trading in these games.
100% agree.
+1 from me.
From the beginning, I've always said, "no trade? No play". If they bind on use or upgrade I'll probably at least try it, but they will only hurt the longevity of the game with nonsense trade restrictions.
That will encourage bots...
@@MixMeister5000 Bots are already encouraged cause you can trade gold and rares which are the most important. Its not actually that important to get legendary items. Getting perfectly rolled rares that you slot your legendary affixes on is going to be the big shit and rares are all tradable.
@@HalobravoJJGaming wish i could agree, but perfectly rolled legendaries are better as they have 4 affixes and rares only 3.
Bro, I'm still waiting for dat song from d2r toxic paladin video.
Make trading great again, no limits ✅
Yeah you can trade the legendaries from the gamble vender
What’s your speculation on D4 pvp? I’m kind of nervous and thinking it’s going to be shit like D3 pvp was.
Man that world boss looked exactly like WoW!! 😔
I think its : legendary affixes that are not class specific = tradeble... class affixes = bound
I think it has changed but i dropped shako around some level and then little bit later found it again. Buuut Yeah, as I grinded first season of immortal d4 is more like wow style of progress or immortal style of progress. You get enchants spend alot of gold , and those world boss materials, remember don't ever miss those :_D so a normal item might not be that wanted in the endgame. As I predict we won't be missing much of the effects after 1-2weeks of playing.
beta has increased drop rates
Work trip last weekend, tornados this weekend. No diablo 4. Could be worse though
But weirdly several rares i have found were actually account bound. Could only sell for 1 gold...
those are quest-rewards
Such a good news
We love you Cooley
First , thank you for the upload. Loved it.
Second , I believe that trading in this specific game is a waste of time - unless they give "special" power to rares or other things.
The legendaries in this game are as those in D3 which makes rares useless.
In my opinion the good rare items will be the most valuable due to the imprinting system. Generally speaking when you get a legendary ITEM with a specific EFFECT that you need the item may roll garbage stats (or just low in numbers). So this way you have to choose between good stats + bad legendary effect vs bad stats + good legendary.
With extracting the power you can imprint it to an item of your choice - which will most likely be a good rare item resulting in an item with good stats and good effect.
Hope they add a currency I can buy with money I don’t have much time to play
That’s all subject to change. You guys just wait and see.
+1 to free trade, a very important aspect of a diablo game
Realized I hadn't subbed yet. So there ya go! Free trade for errybody!
Hey so my friend upgraded a legendary and he was still able to give it to me
I support free trading
Awesomeness
Nope
why the hell would you not want trade..
Mabe its this way because its beta?
tradeable Legys are confirmed to be a bug by D4 devs.
Free trade ofc, makes game much better. Core element of arpg
I was pretty sure this was normal. I remember them saying *most* legendary items cannot be traded. The non-acount bound legendary items I found never had any class specific aspect or attributes on it.. I gave a legendary item I gambled to a friend just by dropping it on the ground for him (while in party), he's wearing it now. So I'm guessing very specific legendaries are intended exceptions to the rule.
No....Why would you not be allowed to trade basically everything except a few legendaries? use ur head bud its a bug.
@@Emperor_Shao_Kahn I have been reading up on it and it seems my hunch is not that far-fetched after all. It is possible some legendaries can just be traded. It could indeed be a bug but it could also be a feature that allows some lower-end Legendaries to be traded.
Or it is a feature that allows Clan and/or Party members to trade Legendaries dropped in the same play session. This isn't just my theory, I copied this from a community website where the consensus is that it is one of the three things above or a combination of them. My guess is it is intended as they were very clear from the start stating that *most* legendaries cannot be traded. Am I the only one who did not miss this?
They said it was not supposed to happen:(
Bro D4 looks like RuneScape remastered
This is true, but rs3 looks better and have more mechanics
😊
I would actually play and buy into d4 if all items were trade able. Please.. Please make it so.
yes i love rmt in my games
@@subjectc37e18 my games?
Part of the enjoyment of D2 that sets it aside from D3 is that you can find useful endgame items even in Normal. Magefists are a good example. Why do they have to put some arbitrary level before you can get anything useful? I can get a pair of magefists casually at the beginning of a ladder season and actually trade them for great value. This makes the game engaging even while leveling because there are opportunities to get good stuff early on even if you are more casual. I guess that requires too much thought for the devs though. Better for them to invest their time in adding a cosmetic wolf pet to the game instead.
Yup. It felt like no matter how small you are or what you're doing there's always a chance you could get lucky and build your wealth, or even become rich!
The answer is, it's a bug, and they're already saying they're looking into fixing it.
Simple solution to this... make 2 different servers like hardcore and softcore, loot thats account bound and drops just for you then a normal server like d2 as the way God intended.
Can't wait for blizzard to say that it's not possible for legendaries to be traded a few months down the road.
Poppa cools>Poppa John's
i hate forum gold system, but i do like free trade...
I hope they leave the "bug" of open trading, however, it is still pointless, as there is a rain shower of rares with trashy itemization.
Wait for Pay To Trade kekw
Free Trade FTW!
Just throw them away geez 😂❤
You can trade all you want, it’ll be gone tomorrow.
It wouldn’t be Diablo without item glitching of some kind
free traid in diablo was a main reason to play. just get rid of the hackers
Free trade for life
70 % of diablo is abouth trading shiet you find for better shiet or sell a gosu item to full equip a char.
There should be unrestricted trade.
And then have the game flooded with bots... no thanks.
@@MixMeister5000 You're either very naive or very dumb if you think restricting trading will prevent that from happening.
free trade is always best
Evil capitalists! Commies for life!!
rerolling stats through enchant will also make them account bound
Free trade along with bots and shady sites selling stuff for real money is perfect reason to not play D4, so no thanks.
regarding legendary items, it seems they have some issue with how game recognizes items (as it turns into blue item with no stats for split seconds) so likely a bug (quite serious one tbh...)
+1 for free trade as well. In d2r you don’t just get stoked that you found a powerful item. You get stoked because that item could be used to trade to the powerful item you want for your specific class. It adds more possibilities for the gamer which makes them feel more empowered. I just feel like trading is a huge part of Diablo in general and should always be part of the game.
the name says it all exploiters adventurer's helm lmao!
this isnt a big glitch........the devs know about it and said they are going to fix it.....this was like a week ago idk where u have been
Bring back Diablo real money auction house! Just make it better so people dont dupe items or hack and stuff. As long as they dont make previous mistakes they did in D3, I have no problem with real money auction house
lol thanks for telling blizzard of this, now i am sure they will fix this n final game.
I hope they make every item account bind and ban anyone who use 3rd party sites. Make it a true dungeon crawler
Yes trade is a cool thing why not?if people don’t want trade they can ..same like fallout 76 ..
👍🏻
I wouldn't be surprised one bit if 3 months after launch we get a post from Blizzard about how "Real life money is being traded for gear". "The only way that we can combat this menace to our game and not restrict free trade is to cut out the third party and sell you gold from our cash shop". I sincerely hope that I'm wrong, but given Blizzards recent past, and how they did exactly this with WoW and it's a pay to win shit show, I wouldn't be surprised. Blizzard times these things with their quarterly earnings reports in order to get a quick boost of cash to impress the investors. D4 gets released at the end of Q2. I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled this off in late Q3 (Septermber) or early Q4 (October).
Would like a SSF mode for D4 so I wouldn't have to care about trading.
In😊 no😮😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 in😊😊😊 jj
😊😊😮nn. J j kkk 😮
😊😊😊😊
i bet this is due to increase in magic finds in the early game. basically a failed unique. if that makes sense
Damn... I'm strongly considering not buying D4. I just feel it's going to be another "BETA" release. I think I'll wait for the expansion lol
Account bound items shouldn't exist in ARPGs especially Diablo. Hope Blizz gets smart.
Is not a Diablo game if is not free trading….
I don't get the question... Why shouldn't you allow people to trade? This is Diablo!
Cooley you need to save diablo 4!, tell the creators to not allow trading!, diablo 4 bot already comes in 2months, this is the one game i dont want a bot on -,-
They need to have free trade, its dumb as hell you cant trade the op legendary gear.
I think a lot more people would give this game a chance if items were able to be traded freely. This D3 draconian loot system is half the reason why D3 is and will always be trash. D4 is headed in the same direction if game devs want to double down on that crap cake.
I hate the stupid legendaries. Makes rares pointless
Beta Trophy room inbound?? In all seriousness there should be fully unrestricted trade, it only helps the economy of the game
Yes please I am not a hardcore player I am casual but I make a lot of money in real life so I like to be able to buy and trade as well
they been trying to match the magic of D2 for so long, plz do free trade. the pros out way the cons on this one everytime. free trade is 1st step to get back to the glory this game once held
I think Uniques and Legendaries are like "side by side" in the tier list. Where one can be traded as the other cannot. Especially considering you can aspect rares into legendary. Gives reason to believe the min max in D4 is going to be crazy. Uniques with fixed stats will be great until someone can find a rare with the right stats and an aspect for it with the right stats to create a powerful legendary better than the stats of the uniques they find.
In the end game you will be able to find sacred and ancestral legendary items.
They will be way better than rare items.
And uniques are better than rares.
So rare items will be useless in late game.
Enjoy this "new" D3 game .
future D4 hack - remove the bound flag on legendaries lol
If only it worked like that. ^_^
IDK I care about free trade because I aint playing it anyway lol
Free trade is nice, but Rykker had an interesting take that I like. BiS items should be obtained by playing the game, not the trading game. And I kind of agree.
I disagree, finding BIS items for classes or builds youre not interested in and never finding the ones for your own char is sheer frustrating, nothing else.
Then don’t trade. You are not forced to trade for items. Find it yourself and let the rest of us trade. Everyone has their own way of enjoying the game which is why free trade is nice - you can use it or not!
Should Diablo 4 have free and open trade ?
Like for yes, comment for no
Man that itemization looks like shit also the items feel so soulless
Im gay and I like d4
For real ppl buying stuff on beta that’s sad af the gaming community going to shit
First!!!
Nope
God damn it
Game is dead in 1 month after release without free trade.
Help us Microsoft... You are are only hope.
open trade = pay 2 win , they said they were not going to make the game pay to win. Not being able to trade the item you want/best items is the best thing ever. since you get to play the game in order to get the item instead of being able to use resources from outside of the game.
Have two game modes. One for people who think they are better than others for playing SSF and others who just want to be able to trade items.
