    I watch a lot of these home studio setup videos. This has to be the first time I’ve seen someone using a Roland Quad Capture audio interface in their setup. We’ve got a few things in common. The quad capture was the first audio interface I ever had. Bought it around 2011 or 2012. Only mic I had at the time was the bue yeti pro. I only used that interface 4 or 5 times for just a few minutes at a time. I was always too busy working. I got the octacapture in 2015. Used it maybe once to test a microphone. I still have the quad, but I don’t use it for anything. The octacapture I use just for my hs8’s. I actually have the korg kaosilator plus, but it’s not hooked up. I don’t even know what wires it needs to be hooked up. I’ve had it for maybe 8 years and I’ve never really used it. I worked as an over the road truck driver and I stayed out all the time, so I’ve just been buying gear online & having them sent home. I had the hs8’s for about two years before I even hooked them up. And my computer processor is a 5900x, so similar again to yours as well. Do you have a video showing how you hooked all this stuff up?

    I know flipping throw windows slows down workflow I always use to think that when I’m working in my studio but as soon as I started setting up key commands I realized it dose not slow down my workflow at all cause I just setup key commands and press one button and a new window opens but if you have to grab your mouse then yes it dose slow down workflow
    But key commands there really useful
    Cause us as audio engineers we wanna make everything as easy as possible and make everything easy so we can get that sound we want as fast as possible that’s how audio engineers work they want number 1 a good workflow number 2 they want a good setup in the studio number 3 they want a good mix template
    For a audio engineer there studio is always changing cause there always improving stuff
    Like me in my recording studio I’m always changing stuff and always improving everything
    But I always always change stuff to for content
    Cause I am also a UA-camr I teach mixing and recording music on my channel

    Hi, what were the leds lights and controller you used? I'd love to pick different color ambience in my room lol... Also, for the RME, do you connect it via digital to the roland quadcapture? What ASIO driver are you using in cubase, rolands?

    • @MikeBelloMusic
      @MikeBelloMusic  11 місяців тому

      The LED lights are just generic ones from amazon, there's many different brands depending what country you are in but they all work the same. With the RME, the quad capture goes into the RME via 1/4 inch jack. And the driver I use is the RME Asio driver

    This video is bloody brilliant. Quick question, If someone wanted to use the Roland Quad Capture, what style of audio interface would he need to receive the signal to the headphones? Also, 2K is a steap price for the RME ADI-2 AD/DA, would you know any brands that dont break the bank ? Haha cheers.

    • @MikeBelloMusic
      @MikeBelloMusic  9 місяців тому

      Thanks, glad you liked the video!
      The Roland Quad Capture is an all-in-one audio interface. It can receive the signal from your instruments and send the audio from your computer back out to your headphones or speakers.
      The RME is not necessary, I just use it because the audio processing is higher quality than the quad capture and I wanted the highest quality possible in my setup. I used only the Roland Quad Capture for a long time though before I bought the RME
