my job slowed down a few months back and I started trading futures. your videos have been great advice as it helped me figure out a good path. Last week though I ignored all my rules and got very emotional. I lost around 5000 in profit and blew my entire account of about 10000 more dollars. And then used the rest of my money saved another 10000 and ended up losing everything I have revenge trading and trying short at the wrong time the same markets over and over and having too much size. Not too sure where I’m gonna go from here yet and it’s been rough, but I don’t want to give up when I hopefully build capital again in the future.
lot of other big mistakes like being greedy and not taking profit when it was a 1:1 or 2:1 gain cause I wanted to believe I had a moonbag and market reversed but yeah
Oof, that's rough. Have you considered the prop firm route? Like Topstep or Take Profit Trader? Bc You can get funded and don't have to risk your own capital. There are rules, and monthly fees associated, and you do have to pass a challenge to get funded, but once you are profitable, you can take a portion of the profits out and start funding your own trading account back up without using your hard earned money/ savings plus having small monthly fees are not as bad as losing thousands of your own $ which I too have done.

Every time I hear you say that it took you 8 years and you are fine with going to 10 years, I feel more confident, and feel that I should never quit, as it has been 8 years since I lost a great deal of my invested fund, and since then, I have not yet been able to stand up again, every time I am profitable, I get back in the red... perseverance is the name of the game.

my job slowed down a few months back and I started trading futures. your videos have been great advice as it helped me figure out a good path. Last week though I ignored all my rules and got very emotional. I lost around 5000 in profit and blew my entire account of about 10000 more dollars. And then used the rest of my money saved another 10000 and ended up losing everything I have revenge trading and trying short at the wrong time the same markets over and over and having too much size. Not too sure where I’m gonna go from here yet and it’s been rough, but I don’t want to give up when I hopefully build capital again in the future.
lot of other big mistakes like being greedy and not taking profit when it was a 1:1 or 2:1 gain cause I wanted to believe I had a moonbag and market reversed but yeah
Oof, that's rough. Have you considered the prop firm route? Like Topstep or Take Profit Trader? Bc You can get funded and don't have to risk your own capital. There are rules, and monthly fees associated, and you do have to pass a challenge to get funded, but once you are profitable, you can take a portion of the profits out and start funding your own trading account back up without using your hard earned money/ savings plus having small monthly fees are not as bad as losing thousands of your own $ which I too have done.
I don't know who motivated you to get you where you are today but for me YOU encourage me to keep at it. Thank You. Much Respect Ben.💯

Even though I have really good intentions of keeping my position sizes small and appropriate, within a week or two you can guarantee I'll break that rule and lose most, if not all, of my account.
I understand what you say about feeling the need to trade everything that moves. I'm only going to trade the London-New York cross-over, from now on (13.00 -16.00 GMT) to maximise volatility and stop myself overtrading.

Great piece of advice and great teaching. Every time I hear you say that it took you 8 years and you are fine with going to 10 years, I feel more confident, and feel that I should never quit, as it has been 8 years since I lost a great deal of my invested fund, and since then, I have not yet been able to stand up again, every time I am profitable, I get back in the red... perseverance is the name of the game.

These commecnts are repeating the same thing and are obviously fake. I'm not sure why you have a bunch of fake accounts commenting on your videos leaving unrealistic positive reviews or circumstances. I also would like to know why you, Ben, dont live trade and why you dont share your annual P&L reports? This would legitimise everything you claim, assuming the broker/platform is legitimate as there are some that allow you to use a sim account that looks like its a live account.
