Also, Ronnie James Dio is Melodia's inspiration. She knows everything about him and has studied him. He is the one who more or less made her want to do rock.
I just said so on their video, this isn't just a cover. I know their Dio work very well, starting with Rainbow In The Dark. Last In Line was simply the perfect tribute. But this...their fingerprints are all over it, and that's a great thing. Sam's guitar work is individual, the drums are heavier, Melody's vocals stand out on their own. Ethan and Justin made their own contribution too. And the flute, I freaked when I heard it. Somewhere Ronnie is smiling. Great reaction, I subbed up!
I know it's only human nature to always compare a tribute cover to the original, but as with all covers the performance is what should be the measure , Liliac bring to their performances their unique take on the song, and by doing so make it their own , this tribute cover is a good example of this , I've already heard reactors saying things like this part was different our that bit sounded better, this is simply Liliac's version of a classic, they performed it their way, using their line-up of instruments, on which they are all highly proficient. My argument is, if you want a carbon copy of the original then you may as well just listen and stay with the original . I for one ,genuinely believe that this cover was musically better than the original ,but I'm a diehard Liliac fang so I'm definitely biased,Melody could sing the phone book and I'd be happy . FANG4LIFE RORH
Another great cover from Liliac! I agree with the flute comment. They did another great cover of If I Close My Eyes Forever by Lita Ford and Ozzy that also had Melody playing the flute and it was beautiful, gave me chills. Melody and a guy named Mercury Cross ( excellent vocalist ) sang the duet and they knocked it out of the park! If you haven't reacted to this you should, what a beautiful song.
She is developing into a powerhouse vocalist and frontperson. The whole band is killing it. I'm sure the purists are going to shit all over this...but so what? I really l Iike it
Illak. Ok...uses. voice enhancers sound board. Vocal tracks. ..pretend play video shot ..ok for a cover band. They did ok tribute. Sadly they did the tribute better then vience neil . .all said. ....the prod.bit gritty. Off cue. At points. Lead slack a few on neck rift. ..percussionist. off hit a few ..but hey. Who picks up pretend play..front woman her lips vocal.misz quite was off. At a few notes. 😊😊😊😊..

yeah, there starting to really mature now as a band, so good
Bill Ward is the drummer on the Heaven and Hell album. Vinnie Appice was bought in to tour with Sabbath.
FYI: The mic twirl is also a DIO move. I love watching Reactors and their assessment of Liliac. Thanks for yours.

This is rock no autotune. perfection never existed in this type of music if you want perfection go to pop even original was not perfect.
If you look back in my reactions I have already did a reaction to Close My Eyes Forever.
Flute at the end..go look at the album cover of Heaven & Hell by Black Sabbath...
Abby never misses a beat and Ethan on bass they keep the band on time.
Also you're correct, this was before Vinnie Appice. And no I don't think there were keys, at least not significantly

Purists are weird. I married one. She doesn’t acknowledge the Dio era of Sabbath at all.
Vinny Appice on drums
Nobody covers that song, few cover Dio. there is a reason, they cant.
No
Good effort , a chick singing an iconic Dio / Sabbath tune just doesn't do it for me . Lemmy covering a Dolly Parton song if you get my drift 😂
