Looking at that weather now I can't believe that 40 years ago I would just carry on motorcycling as usual. The only nod to the weather would be one of those trawler fishermans style thick woolly jumper under the leather jacket. Longer journeys would involve stopping occasionally to warm the gloves up on the engine.
My 6:30 work journey from Holmewood area to Pudsey was interesting. No gritting from Leeds or Bradford councils and very slippery in places. Overshot 2 red lights at about 5mph! Doubt if I'll get a ticket for either though, given the number of people around here that ignore them.

Same, I had the fisherman's socks in my wellies. 😂👍

Yeah it was a bit grim and so slippery, I don't think they'd gritted till later. 👍
Great video, don't fancy all that salt under the car
Thanks, yep it was a bit grimey, I'll have to give the car a good wash next week. 👍
The salt doesn't just wash off' because of all the other stuff that's in it:@@garewalks
Assume a 4x4 or SUV
No just an average car, a little Toyota city car. Makes bad weather a bit more exciting. 👍
