Jesus did complete miracles. He didn't need muscle memory! Same with the paralytic by the pool. After 38 years, he gets up and walks on perfectly healthy legs, toned muscles, and all.

at 8:37 you asked about muscle memory for his voice... it would be like the same thing when Jesus heals someone who never walked, and they get up and walk... This shows that when Jesus makes us whole, He does things that we might never know, in order to get us there. Kind of like when God spoke to Job, and asked him, "were you there when..?"

Also the REASON he says that Neali should be fed right away after raising her from the dead. The digestive process 'reboots' the brainwaves and nervous system in vital ways that would have been VERY important for her complete recovery.

I'm just a tad annoyed that they're releasing the last two episodes in theaters, but I get why they're doing it. I'm sure fewer people are paying it forward because of the economy and this is a good way to raise money and give the fans an opportunity to see them on the big screen and with others.
As for the mute guy being able to talk, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after four days when the muscles were already beginning to decompose and he walked out of the tomb... when Jesus healed someone, He healed them completely.
    Be blessed! 🙏✝️❤

Just want to make sure you know episode 7 is being released on the App and likely here on UA-cam and on Facebook only two days later on Sunday the 5th of February and episode 8 on Tuesday the 7th of February. I say this as someone living in Scotland that, as far as I know so far, won't be able to watch it in the cinema. But I'm okay at having to wait a few days. It's not like when the first two episodes that were released a few weeks early.

The teachable moment inspired by John's question pushes Jesus further into His mission. John understands this and sends his disciples to ask. Jesus celebrates John, publicly acknowledged his ministry as an integral aspect of His own. He rebukes the Pharisees who had access to the Scriptures but consistently fail interpreting them.

I really like the comment I saw that mentioned that the two disciples of John could be using their aliases. The chosen has actually already set this up as a possible pattern. Last season, Philip even recounts the memory he had where John, the Baptist started using all of their actual names. Because up until that time they had only known each other’s aliases.
Both of them also mentioned to the sons of thunder and Simon, that they were right to have suspicions about them as false prophecy edicts have been made.
Another tie back to how Philip said they would use aliases being on the run.
They wouldn’t necessarily want to use their real names if they are actually followers of someone who is in prison. Jesus literally announces, THESE ARE FOLLOWERS OF JOHN THE BAPTIST! In front of, Pharisees, and Gaius. How fortunate for them if someone went to turn them in and say, we know the names of two of John’s followers, only to find that those names are aliases.
When they are introduced to Jesus, Jesus doesn’t repeat their names, but instead mentions about himself, that Jesus of Nazareth is, “a name He readily responds to.” (Yes, that was directed more at the fact that he wouldn’t be returning to Nazareth, but an Easter egg is an Easter egg.) Jesus is very specific with His words. Beautifully, well, not confirming that those are their actual names, mentions that He does, “recognize them”
Yeah, I’m pretty convinced now. Plus, imagine if they are introduced later as Mathias and Barssabas. Nearly airtight storytelling has already set plenty of precedents for why at this moment, we met them as Avner and Nadab.

The way The Chosen did it, by adding "the dead are raised" later, was to link to Peter's rebuke to the Pharisee: "Didn't you see the girl raised at Jairus's house?". The Pharisee responded: "I didn't see what happened there. So, by Jesus adding the phrase at the end, He's basically telling that Pharisee that the girl did rise from the dead.

Several of these scenes this year have inspired me to go back and re read scripture that I thought I understood. I had never realized that the scripture Jesus Jesus quoted in answering John included the phrase "freedom for the captives" which Jesus by no mistake left out when He quoted it in reply to John. At the same time I don't think John was asking because he was in prison, though I have little doubt thats why John's disciples wanted to know. I think John understood Jesus end game, but he had a dif. Expectation of how it would be achieved. Jesus both answered Johns question by pointing to what scripture said the Christ was going to do, while also not painting a target on His chest for Rome making them also misunderstand Him as a political revolutionary. Fantastic portrayal of scripture and fantastic writing!!

It's very cool that they get Jesus to use the scene of the children playing pretend, by quoting from the secular Greek's writing, "Aesop's Fables". So Jesus would have known that it was a popular read in His day.

Jesus saying we in the Kingdom are greater than John has NOTHING to do w/ John’s questions or showing how John was a regular dude. Jesus is speaking about (the NATURE) of the Kingdom of God that He, Jesus is bringing to us, what it will be like, what WE’ll be like in His Kingdom, how GREAT it is, how great we will be in it as servants to bring about the revelation of it, what an active role we play; that in the Father’s Kingdom we are truly Jesus’ brothers and heirs to to that Kingdom. I see John the Baptist's questioning as a need for that extra bit between faith and knowledge (Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen). He starts to understand that his time is over and he just wants to know for certain that he has completed the work God gave him.
The account in the Bible doesn't come with the context of all the assurance he has had in The Chosen.
I believe the essential thing that the Bible is telling us is that there's no conflict between believing John and believing in Jesus.

THE WORLD RULER TRIES TO KILL ME
And then a voice of the world ruler came to the angels: “I am god and there is no other god but me.” But I laughed joyfully when I examined his conceit. But he went on to say, “Who is the human?”
And the entire host of his angels who had seen Adam and his dwelling were laughing at his smallness. And thus did their thought come to be removed outside the majesty of the heavens, away from the human of truth, whose name they saw, since he is in a small dwelling place. They are foolish and senseless in their empty thought, namely, their laughter, and it was contagion for them.
The whole greatness of the fatherhood of the spirit was at rest in its places. And I was with him, since I have a thought of a single emanation from the eternal ones and the unknowable ones, undefiled and immeasurable. I placed the small thought in the world, having disturbed them and frightened the whole multitude of the angels and their ruler. And I was visiting them all with fire and flame because of my thought.
And everything pertaining to them was brought about because of me. And there came about a disturbance and a fight around the seraphim and cherubim, since their glory will fade, and there was confusion around Adonaios on both sides and around their dwelling, up to the world ruler and the one who said, “Let us seize him.” Others again said, “The plan will certainly not materialize.” For Adonaios knows me because of hope. And I was in the mouths of lions. And as for the plan that they devised about me to release their error and their senselessness, I did not succumb to them as they had planned. And I was not afflicted at all.
Those who were there punished me, yet I did not die in reality but in appearance, in order that I not be put to shame by them because these are my kinsfolk. I removed the shame from me, and I did not become fainthearted in the face of what happened to me at their hands. I was about to succumb to fear, and I suffered merely according to their sight and thought so that no word might ever be found to speak about them.
For my death, which they think happened, happened to them in their error and blindness, since they nailed their man unto their death. Their thoughts did not see me, for they were deaf and blind. But in doing these things, they condemn themselves. Yes, they saw me; they punished me.
It was another, their father, who drank the gall and the vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his shoulder. It was another upon whom they placed the crown of thorns. But I was rejoicing in the height over all the wealth of the rulers and the offspring of their error, of their empty glory. And I was laughing at their ignorance.

What is the difference between Adam and Adam Kadmon?
Adam Kadmon is not the same as the physical Adam Ha-Rishon. In Lurianic Kabbalah, the description of Adam Kadmon is anthropomorphic. Nonetheless, Adam Kadmon is divine light without vessels, i.e., pure potential. In the human psyche, Adam Kadmon corresponds to the yechidah, the collective essence of the soul.

No, Jesus never quarreled with John the Baptist. This show is full of inaccuracies and the style is that of a soap-opera. Never mind that they present Our Lady as a "relatable" woman... No wonder Protestants love it!

But this is a biblical scene almost word for word in most places….

Everybody doubts. We doubt more times than we love. Doubt is ingrained in our survival DNA.

I just think it’s an important biblical point that’s missing right now from the show. 😂

@@TheSnipeLife I think it would make sense that it ends up being one of John's disciples bc Acts mentions they were both there from the baptism. Perhaps he will actually come in after John's death, when more of his disciples began following Jesus
