Before I retired, I was a power lineman and used Wesco lineman’s climbing shoes for years, had I known or heard of Nick’s, I would certainly have tried your boots. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail is obvious, kudos to you and your craftsmen!
Tradesmen making boots keeping tradesmen working in boots. You don’t have to buy Nick’s boots if you can’t afford them. You can buy another brand just make sure they are made in USA.

@@hatchedspace5242 To each it’s own. Those shoes wouldn’t be even called workboots here. Workboots need steel toes and sole, or otherwise strengthened. If my workers don’t wear them, I send them home. I now ordered ones who are even kevlar protected on top of the shoes. Don’t care what they cost, a worker who stays at home injured costs more. And I think I see a Vibram sole in the video…NOT made in the usa.
@@Ronny_van_Gerwen redwings are made in the usa, everyone likes and prefers different stuff but I don't need a steel toe for myself and what I do,redwing has steel toes and so does nicks boots. Me personally I've found that made in the USA boots last longer,I also only buy boots I can resole
Just grabbed a pair of olive overlander from the ready to ship boots , I had been looking for a those to add to my collection. Have the Falcon , UL , those and a pair of the Merryman on order. I think that should be enough ! If not I need help , I've got B.A.S. (boot acquisition syndrome) Every time the sanding to shape part makes me nervous , that belt gets so close to the boot upper sometimes and just one little slip and it's ruined .
I love watching these videos. I swear I'd be an on the job (clumsy) injury my first day if I worked there! Am I the only one mildly creeped out by the tacks in the mouth? 😂
They use 6-8oz leather all full grain. Boots will stretch and mold to your foot but the break in takes 100 hours or 10 or so days to get it feeling good.
Pretty sure the liner isn't made from splits. You can see in the video it's one monolithic piece of leather. I'm guessing it's probably from an animal species with a thinner hide, like sheep or goat.
As a max cushion sneakerhead, I don't like these boots underfoot. There's little to no underfoot cushion. Yes these boots will be extremely durable, but as someone who rotates boots, I want each of my boot to be well cushioned. I would sacrifice some longevity for cushion, knowing I rotate my boots. I'm well aware I'm the wrong customer for these boots.

Yes, they. Break in is a bit rough and even painful to some.

Glue, a shitload of nails, spikes, two rows of stitching, and even some freaking screws. I challenge you to wear them out. 😂

Failed marketing...this is a unisex boot...any woman could rock this boot just the same as a man :)
