Wow thk u so much for sharing this gem! I thought I will for go with my husband for sure…but after seeing your 2nd + 3rd serving, i know my kids would love it too, kebabs, sushi, pork buns, bacon asparagus, cake, fruit, icecream! So much selection even for non-seafood lovers 👌
Yes, there are a lot of other foods for kids. Be sure to use the foil to grill the meat, as we didn't know and other people were looking at us funny because our grill was smoking so much. 😂
Added to the list - what an amazing selection of seafood and it just looks like so much fun! Also 100% with you re: enoki mushrooms...zero chance I am bypassing them in any edible situation. Thank you for another great video and recommendation!
Very enjoyable experience and a great selection of seafood. Was really surprised at the raw marinated crab. I thought it was better than the cooked crab. And yes, I get the enoki mushrooms wrapped with bacon at any buffet or hotpot I go to. 😋

Looks really good! Hopefully you’re not running to the bathroom after eating the raw stuff. I had an issue many moons ago but it didn’t stop me from eating the next day. Haha
there is no lobster? Can you vlog about Mungkorn, i think they have in Bkk city proper? They got lobsters which is supposed to be the crown jewel for every buffet
We just got the basic 499 baht package and unfortunatelythere was no lobster. I'll have to check out Mungkorn and maybe give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
We went on a Monday and we arrived about an hour early to get first group of tables. Restaurant opens at 5:00 PM. There was a line all night long, so be sure to arrive early.
Can't say, as I've never been to Mungkorn. But I do know the prices are cheaper here versus Mungkorn. I'll have to visit Mungkorn and see how it compares.
Just like Europe, where I live, Thailand and many countries more or less close to Thailand (from a global perspective) like Vietnam, China, Japan and South Korea boost an amazing culinary scene. In Europe everyone knows Asia has extraordinary food. But how do Asians pair food and beverages? In that area most Asians are just like Americans in the sense that they often are satisfied with a Coke or any other soft drink, even when eating more expensive and elaborated dishes. This is something we Europeans find a bit odd as we often wish to combine a well prepared dish with a wine or beer that goes perfectly with it. It doesn't have to be something fancy, it's just that very few European adults would order a Coke/Pepsi/Fanta with a traditional dish like Bavarian Weisswurst, Tuscan pappardelle alla lepra or Danish smørrebrød. I encourage everyone who are used to having soft drinks with all of their meals to start exploring the fascinating ways in which a wine, beer, cider etcetera and a given dish not only can complement each other but also enhance the experience of one another. Like said, it doesn't have to be fancy, just purchase a decent bottle of Chianti next time you are having lasagna, pizza or a risotto with lots of parmigiano reggiano, aerate it properly (I usually fill up a glass two hours before drinking a red wine, that way both the wine in the glass and in the bottle gets enough exposure to air, the only exception is if the wine is very mature and well aged, in that case it should be consumed within an hour after opening the bottle) and enjoy the genuine taste of Italy in the form of a perfect, harmonious marriage between food and wine!
@@HerrBrutal-bl2fk We do drink wine, but I typically don't drink on the channel. We did have some wine at the Okada Buffet episode. But for the most part I don't drink while I'm shooting my videos.
@@grifsfoodandtravelOf course you shouldn't be drinking wine just for the sake of drinking wine. However, some restaurants you visit might be good at providing good choices of wine, beer and other drinks that go well with the food they do. Alcohol isn't really the point. What I'm on about is the art of combining food and beverages. As a Swede, I'd like to point out that my nation has been enjoying lättöl/"light beer" containing only a small amout of alcohol since 1919. It accompanies traditional Swedish dishes like meatballs,, kålpudding (a union of cabbage, onion an ground beef), cod with browned butter and large heaps of grated horseradish and dishes made with meat from moose, deer and reindeer (yes, we killed both Bambi and Rudolph). One thing all Europeans would agree upon is that the right bevarage always brings up any dish several notches!
They both offered very similar seafood. I really enjoyed the enoki mushroom skewers at Kodtalay and Mungkorn had more options for cooked foods. I did like the raw crabs more at Kodtalay. They have the same price point, so they are pretty much the same. I don't think one is better than the other. Just has a few different options based on your personal taste.
