The House On Tombstone Hill: Who thought flipping a home could be so deadly?
Happy Easter Brandon 🐥
Didn't think much of Godzilla vs Kong.it was too similar to Transformers
You should do a review of Night of The Lepus 1972 and Reptilicus 1961
happy easter
Definitely an April Fools joke from the director.
House On Tombstone Hill: When the gamemaster strictly enforces the old AD&D "roll to open doors" rules at all times.
I love AD&D.
this movie in actuality is the fabled R-Rated cut to Mrs. Doubtfire
That is not true. Though the old lady antagonist in this film has a passing resemblance to the Robin Williams character in "Mrs. Doubtfire," the films are actually unrelated.
@@michaelerickson985 r/wooosh
That comment nearly made me take a spittake with my morning coffee, thank you sir!
@@michaelerickson985 Welcome to the joke.
🙏👍🤣🤣🤣
The joke is... that there is no joke. Happy April 1rst!
Yeah
Brandon’s idea of an April Fool’s Day joke is bringing back old gags
The twist is.......
You're already dead
"Impossible" -Purple balance man
*"I may be old, but I ain't fuckin' around, sonny!"*
This mvie is the equivalent of double spacing on a school paper. And writing really big.
Beware the most horrifying obstacle in the history of horror films - stuck doors!
good thing this film didn't take place in California... WD-40 is illegal their!
lmao ;3
"Evil has a shopping list" 😂
That one earned like number 1000
I don't know what's more amazing the fact that there's a movie called "Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Hellbound, Flesh-Eating, Crawling, Alien, Subhumanoid, Zombified, Living Dead" or the fact that it has multiple sequels.
Well, most of the runtime was taken up by the title, so they had plenty of script to spare.
How about the fact that Brandon hasn't already covered it?
I actually like this movie. I'm happy they brought back the original title "The House On Tombstone Hill." It's just a fun, haunted-house type of movie with a super-human old lady (granny) killer, who just won't die.
0:53 To be fair, most horror movies can become comedies if you're high enough.
Does the casual sweater guy look like somebody tried to draw the almighty Rick Astley from memory or is it just me?
Never gonna give you up! Never gonna let you down!
@@LeeroyPorkins I still have flashbacks of that song... :P
4:52 I think you are exactly right on how this movie got made. It looks like the director found an abandoned house and made the movie from there.
It's not an uncommon way for movies to get made - you find production value where you can, especially in low-budget productions - but it's usually not this blatantly lazy.
Same with Doom Asylum
@@michaelarojasis that a obscure 80’s movie?
Again this is still one of the most underrated channels on youtube.
'See? I just learned that that guy probably also owns a ferret.'
A ferret would absolutely have improved this movie. No, wait - it would probably have spent its onscreen time failing to open a cat door or something.
But at least its failure to open a cat door would still be more entertaining than the rest of this movie
Now all we need is the ferret getting its head stuck in a toilet paper roll.
Sounds like you have no taste in movies.
Then spent even more time having a freakout about it :=)
15:22 Dissapointed that Brandon didn't use a "DECAPITATION" riff for that.
Unless he got copyrighted for that.
"If Pamala Voorhees was played by Rand Paul" ... I'm dead 🤣
The "Pamela Voorhees" character in "Friday the 13th" is not played by Rand Paul. Instead, the character is played by Betsy Palmer.
@@michaelerickson985 -_-

You're not very bright, are you?
That scream at the end would be cool to have as a ringtone. For a day or two.
For April Fools it kind of would.
I bet, since this was released through Troma, Lloyd Kaufman took one look at it and said "Eh, just stick some random misleading title on the cover. I'm sure someone will rent it".
That seemed to be Troma's MO for a lot of movies that they distributed but didn't actually make. For example, the Japanese release of Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo was retitled to "The Evil Dead Final Chapter" and featured a VHS boxart that's clearly trying to copy the skull from Evil Dead 2's poster.
Oh thank god. The one UA-cam channel that doesn’t need to joke around on April 1st because most of the movies reviewed are a joke.
Side note about SFX make-up artist Ed French: He has a UA-cam channel where he reads (more like performs) classic weird fiction and horror stories, and it’s AWESOME. Search up Edward E. French and have a listen.
The one thing guaranteed to kill an old person:
A fall.
😂
King Kong vs Godzilla: Point at maps.
House on Tombstone Hill: Sticky door
Watching this, until the old lady showed up, I was thinking this was another old house movie, "Playing for Keeps." This movie is like a horror movie of that, it seems, but with stuck doors.
Gotta love how the Godzilla vs Gigan re-upload was blocked by the country.
Dang, with all the doors not opening, made me think of video games. Half expected to see the characters wall into an invisible wall next. 😉😂🤣 But seriously, enjoyed this. Thank you, Brandon.
shit I can't go into this room without the SWORD key lol ;3
They should have called this movie "The Legend Of Door Jam Mansion"
Grandma got run over by a reindeer 2: Grandma's Revenge lol ;3
i want to travel to the universe where "dead dudes in the house" was like as it was advertised
i seriously wanna see that "house party meets (insert famous slasher movie)" be made real
and once again i commented before watching the whole video
their is a movie like that it's called CRACKER JACK'ED and it's weird but funny as hell * o *
"Granny's been taking her Ensure." LOL!!!!!!
and her BOOST lol
I was expecting he would drink and spill the beer because his belly is open but no...they just made a big scene about a zombie/ghost/deadite dude drinking a beer.
Troma! Troma! Troma!
Old cheap horror movies are such a unhealthy treat! Also waiting for Redneck Zombies (1987), I can only imagine that Brandon will have to drink a 40 oz of alcohol to get through that.
you think that's low rent you should see HIDE AND CREEP an Alabama zombie movie it's really funny cause the zombies are afraid of the dark in it lol ;3
Who the hell would think destroying a tombstone is a good idea period.
That was quick, could have swore this was gonna be an April Fool's joke.
@ 6:45 That must have been a long-ass beer run, it's dark when he got back.
This movie reminds me of Bloody New Year. Where you also have the feeling that the makers were able to implement quite good blood effects.
But had no plan what the actors should do between these scenes.
Huh, I kind of was expecting an April Fools Prank, but hey, nice that it's an actual review.
Thank you for this one. I actually saw this movie playing on TV when I was a kid and somehow kid me found this movie creepy. I wanted to find it but I had no idea what the title was. So it's great you managed to find some closure for me on that!
The running gag with the title was grade-A FANTASTIC, sir. You just keep getting better!
I remember watching this on Cinemax when I was 12. I was like, "F*ck, that was a real piece of Sh*t."
"I'm pretty sure a draft could kill her" had me cracking up!
I live in a townhouse on a hill across the street from a small local church cemetery. We also have a new landlord every other year. Haven't seen any vengeful spirits, but I'm pretty sure I've heard some.
For a second at 4:06, I legit thought you were going to say "I heard that, Curtis!". Can't believe my mind went there.
spoooony
i miss him
I thought of that joke too. I miss the old Spoony...
I agree that would have been nice as well
I know no one's going to read this because it's such an old review but basically this was the plot of Texas chainsaw massacre 2022
I'm one of the few that saw this, ages ago when I was a kid, and way before I ever saw Evil Dead. It aired late at night on a local FOX station. I thought it was pretty entertaining at the time... helps when you're not aware of how derivative it is of something greater. Come to think of it, they may have edited down the filler for the broadcast version. Killer granny really creeped me out.
Sadly I remember most of the lines from this movie.lol
5:52 This would be a truly awesome horror movie tagline!
how about a movie called
" THE KILLER REFRIGERATOR FROM OUTER SPACE !!! "
with the tag line " IS YOUR REFRIGERATOR RUNNING?... BETTER NOT LET IT CATCH YOU! "
* - * lol ;3
Rabid Grannies anyone, the house architecture is unique, that's something trauma vids had going for it were some cool locations
Stuck doors, teens in every horror movies' weakness... if they didn't have tools to help them destroy said doors, walls, and windows....
Just rewatching! All I could remember from the first time found was lots of door action! 😂
As some one that collects blades(knives, swords, daggers) and wants to be a bladesmith I feel attacked lmao 😂
Hey, there's a difference between collecting and just having random blades embedded in your drywall so you can put-on impromptu "ninja clinics" for your infrequent guests. This dude was a proto-Mac from "Sunny".
Brandon+ Troma= all my dreams come true.
Huh... a Final Boy. Those are rare.
I think you may be the one person who found something positive to say about this movie!
"You won't believe what they encounter next."
Me: Aaaaah, old drywall!
Could be worse. It could be Night of the Living Kennies.
I did some research online, and there does not appear to be a film entitled "Night of the Living Kennies." Therefore, this film cannot be "Night of the Living Kennies," since there does not appear to be any such film.
@@michaelerickson985 It's a joke. "Kenny" is the name Brandon gives to any annoying kid character, based on the actually named Kenny from the Gamra series.
Still pondering, if Brandon reviews any of the Sailor Moon movies will he call ChibiUsa a Kenny or invent a female name version of Kenny just for her ("Kenni"?).
I was terrified! Tonight I'll be sleeping with the lights on. Don't laugh, how many of you will be hiding under your covers tonight?
I am now deadly afraid my doors might start sticking.
15:02. That moment when you realize:
The Deadpool 1 writer obviously had inspiration from this scene right here? XD
The Rand Paul joke had both my husband and I say "DAAAYYUUUMMM!!" and break out into laughter.
FINALLY!!!! I've been waiting FOREVER for you to review this flick!!! LOVE IT!
At least it won't be flagged by TOHO.
This is actually one of my favorite horror movies, but I also love bad movies... When I was little my mom would freak me out by always just saying "No... No..." in that old lady voice.
when ya cover...
"Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil Mutant Hellbound flesh Eating Crawling Alien Zombified Subhumanoid Living Dead, Part 5 (2011)"
...tho?
I would be genuinely surprised if there's any space left on a DVD front cover? XD
5:56 Oh no. Not a shopping list. Anything but a shopping list
Nissssssssssssssssssce 🍻
That ferret comment had me rolling!🤣
Lol omfg..I remember watching this on VHS in the early 90s as a kid. This is an absolute gem of a shitty so bad its good horror movie..🤣🤣
Most of the scenes are to dark to see what's going on, right?
This was the only way to kill off awful 80s fashions and those who would inflict them on us.
How about you do an obscure 80s sci-fi next and it's called ice Pirates
That's not obscure, we all know that one.
Hearing Brandon say not that that's out of the way I couldn't help but laugh. I literally finished it a minute ago.
The House on Tombstone Hill: the movie that Brandon is reviewing right now.
I’ve never heard of this movie!!! I’m SO excited!
The Door That Wouldn't Open 🚪💀
1:03 If you're curious, "Il ritorno di Gorgo" it's "Son of Godzilla", "Distruggete Kong, la Terra é in pericolo!" it's "Terror of Mechagodzilla" and I think "Il ritorno di Godzilla" it's supposed to be "Mighty peaking man".
Technically the Screen Actors Guild considers a movie feature length at 75 minutes. However the Academy, AFI and BFI all consider 41 minutes the necessary run time. Therefore the people who give those statues would have allowed for the trimming of 54 minutes, and SAG would have let you trim 20 minutes.
I saw this as a kid and could never remember the name of the movie until today 25 years later
SAME * - *
the ghostly old lady looks like my late step-grandmother
The title pop up it keeps happening is scarier than this movie hahaha
This is the joke like…Brandon Tenold's Honest Trailer.
I saw this movie on Cinemax way back in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie inspired RESIDENT EVIL 7 game.
House on Tombstone Hill. So sticky.
I keep forgetting how catchy your outro music is until I hear it. Every. Time.
I think it's from the UA-cam Music Library, of all places!
Even the movie case has an april fools prank
The House On Tombstone Hill: This Hell-House is a real fixer-upper!!!
Love the Little Big Man reference in regards to the "old woman " your vids always make my day
The House of Broken Doors
(0:45) That title of that movie is the whole damn movie poster
0:43 Wow that seem like a "Garfield and Friends" joke, "Wait, your not Silvia! Your one of the Kung Fu Creatures on the Rampage...2!"
03:38. The whistle that triggered a terrifying horror in ... THE HOUSE ON TOMBSTONE HILL!!!!
Wait, can whistling even DO anything in horror movies? XD
these last few videos this year have been just as much fun as many of his from the mid 2010's. Either Brandon is getting his second wind, or I'm drinking more. possibly both.
Why are all of my favorite shows from Canada?
Brandon, those weren't ghosts smoking cigs & drinking beer. The director shot a lot of footage of actors just doing stuff around the house, which later made it into the final movie to pad the runtime. Filmmaking 101.
The House with The Stuck Doors! Nobody will get in... The House with The Stuck Doors!!
😱😱😱😱😱
Smart brain: Wait... is that an open window? :P
Little Big Man goes full Norman Bates.
Bam.
"You'll never escape deary, I've got all the WD-40," 😂
Been watching all your ald stuff. This one pops up and was surprised I missed....until I saw you uploaded it 6 minutes ago. :)
The House on Tombstone Hill by the Cemetery on the Left on Elm Street
You do a great old person voice. Makes me laugh XD
Brandon being like,"This gawd damn movie...." when the Beer man comes in with the HORRENDOUS acting XD🤣
"Slaughter High"" vibes.
This is the best thing I ever saw.
You would think that seeing the name of the studio behind poultrygeist would ensure some quality. Haven't been this disappointed since Massacre in dinosaur Valley.
Troma isn't exactly known for "quality" and most of the movies they distribute today all look like digital homevideo quality, it looks very amateurish!
@@JW666 well I wasn't exactly talking about high quality. More of a low budget, sleazy, borderline parodies of more traditional horror film quality. Which this film seemed in short supply of. At least compared to stuff like Nuke 'em High.
@@deadaccount7520 Ah ok. And yes, that is true.
I have been trying to find this movie for years. I saw it as child but could never get the name right.
"Enter the sticky door to hell..." what a hoot!
Growing up I thought me and my family was the only ones who saw it
Same, I was a kid when I saw this. My mom did some shitty horror shorts and her BF was in a metal band and made short horror movies. This movie isn't that good, but I absolutely love it. I had this on a VHS with C.H.U.D. and Night Of The Comet on it.
So that's what the movie is supposed to look like. The DVD in one of the Toxie's Triple Terrors set was hard to see what was going on. At least it didn't look as bad as the transfer they had for Curse of the Cannibal Confederates.
it's not the transfer
that's how bad it is
cinema snob did that movie and wow
it's like a low budget version of the legend of boggy creek but with half the talent/money of " The Evil Dead "
no wait...
" The Watcher in the Woods " the student film Bruce and Sam did in college that led to them doing " The Evil Dead " had more effort and professionalism lol ;3
This is one I've never heard of!
