The Ghoul is a pre war ghoul, he is the same guy from the beginning of the episode. They are played by Walton Goggins.
Shhhhhh it would be funny if they found out while watching. Not a spoiler really, but it would be fun if they didnt know.
The ghoul isn’t a zombie, he just looks like one. Ghouls are just people mutated by radiation or something. They do have certain mutated benefits that normal people don’t have.
Ghouls can get very old, some are prewar people who survived being burned by radiations and mutated to a ghoul. They are very resistant to damage and can hibernate for a long time when they don't find anything to eat. Most of them turn feral with time as as their brain is deteriorating, some use drugs to avoid going feral when they feel it's coming. A feral ghoul is just like a zombie, very dangerous and hard to kill.
Those ghouls who are not feral are generaly rejected by other survivors, sometimes they become canibals and use their abilities to survive to radiation and most damages to work as head hunters or mercenaries.

To give you a short rundown on the world of Fallout, it takes place during an alternate history where after WW2, the world studied nuclear energy for everything. Technology advanced immensely however to due to politics and other things, the Americas and other aspects of life were stuck in a 1950’s aesthetic. In the year 2077 America and China launched nuclear bombs at each other repeatedly in what was known as “The Great War”, a conflict that only lasted 2 hours, the surface of the earth was completely destroyed

@@Aeolusdallas sorry but wrong :) the transistor was invented by 2023AD in the setting but it took a while to get adapted etc
the radios are transistor based for example and allows the robots etc
Fallout is the radioactive debris that "falls" from nuclear warheads, or the reaction/remnants from something usually in a negative way. Fallout is a game that explores a retro futristic america devasted by the fallout of nuclear war
Their technology isn't necessarily "worse" than ours, they just advanced in different areas. Laser/plasma weapons, robots with a full personality and human-like intelligence we can still only dream of even in our current AI boom, power armor and the widespread use of nuclear energy. Meanwhile they stuck with vacuum tubes rather than circuitry like we do.
Yeah, in fallout universe, all their research went into nuclear tech and robotics. Computers, media, and information tech lagged way behind.
Vaults 31, 32, and 33 are the only known connected vaults in the fallout franchise. All of the vaults in the games are independent.
Please fellow commenters, dont tell them who the ghoul is. Theyre the first people ive seen not catch it and I really want to see them genuinely find out while watching
If you have patience and learn the mechanics, the game has hundreds of hours of gameplay, and you can play a different build each time, or even download mods to create a refined version of what you like in the game. You can build settlements, create supply lines from each settlement, you can upgrade armor, pretty much steal or grab anything in the game besides furniture, save your loot, sell your loot, apply your loot on your settlers. Long main storylines for each faction, random encounters, so many buildings and areas to loot and explore. You can get lost in the game so quickly due to so much stuff being out there. The show slaps so hard and i'm so happy that it's getting attention by newcomers. Hope you enjoy the ride, this franchise in my opinion slaps harder than the star wars franchise or any other. Also fun fact, Christopher Nolan directed Oppenheimer, Jonathan Nolan directed Fallout. Both dropping bombs lol.

I played like an hour of part 3 when it was brand new and that was it, so I was mostly blind coming in too. I binged the whole show in like 8 hours and then immediately went out and bought all the games, and now I’m like 13 hours into fallout 4. This show hooked me HARD, man
Just wait till you play the other games. Youre starting with the least interesting game (its still great, dont get me wrong)
@@ZeallustImmortal I did a fair amount of looking into it before I started…I really love the building aspects in 4, and the gun play is fun. The story is interesting to me, too, even though I’m sure it’s as good or better in the others. I’m gonna work my way through New Vegas next, and my friend and I are gonna play 76 intermittently too

This show takes place 9 years after fallout 4. It’s not a specific game storyline but its own within the game world. 👌

just so you know there WAS more modern music, the music you hear throughout fallout is just meant to be what was recovered.
The first one I played was 3. It was a good introduction into the gameplay but it's not considered the best story. No one said you have to like the games themselves, lol. Still, the show makes me appreciate it more.

just an update. cant schedule it for this week. We gotta get fallout released as soon as possible. Keep in mind we have no editors, we are the editors lol. Really wanna stream but yeah its busy right now
Play 3 first imo. Then play New Vegas. New Vegas is the best written fallout probably or at least is considered that widely. 4 is pretty fun too though
40 seconds in and I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that New Vegas was the most popular game. 4 is not widely known as not as good as Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Fallout 76 had more issues than there even was game. It was a flop.
Edit: it is very apparent that these dudes don’t realize that the Ghoul is the very first guy we were introduced too. However, with the guy on the right not shutting tf up the whole time, they probably couldn’t concentrate.
