When programming the remote controls.
If I program the 1st key placed in the ignition to the PPE position. OKAY.
Do I then have to take that key out of the ignition and put the 2nd key in the ignition to do the same programming process?
Then I have to remove the 2nd key from the ignition and insert the 3rd to program it?
And this can be done until the programming of 8 keys?
And if so, won't the program stop communicating with the car's ECU every time I turn the keys in the ignition?

Yes, it was a while ago, the MES will instruct you, it won't lose connection

What ecu tool so you use to connect laptop with? And another thing, about locking and unlocking, I know some alfas have sound effect with it, do u know if it's possible to enable this ?

No, you must get security code
Can you also programm the transponder chip with this program and cable?
Yes, but it does give you a warning for potential ECU damage...

Hi, i bought a second hand car, ofc, and i don't have the bcm key code. Also only one key came with the car, the one without the buttons. What do you suggest is the easiest way to get remote controls. Thx in advance!

Since I can take it to a locksmith and he'll do it for 100-ish euro and i guess a code from an alfa romeo dealer will cost about as much. I'm kind of tight on money right now so I'm looking for a cheaper diy option.

I'm still a bit confused. So you took out the transponder out of the non-button spare key and also removed the "blade?" and then put both on an old case and then you programmed your old key in a new case plus another spare key with a foreign transponder? Did I get it right?
And also, do I need the key card? I don't have one and my used Alfa 147 just came with the non-button spare key.
You do need a key card. You got the first part right I got the transponder and blade out of the non button key, and put it in the button key which I then programmed. That's pretty much it...

And with putting the transponder and blade from the old into the new, you just programmed the chip in the new key, right? Because you can't put the non-button chip into a button key, right? I saw that your car is the jts, was wondering if the engine is being reliable as many forums say stay away from jts engines, thanks.
My GT is 1.8 Twin Spark. JTS engines are not bad, but the direct injection configuration proved problematic for most car manufacturers. It's the nature of the engine... The most important thing you should consider is the overall condition of the car.
I just bought in the summer a GT JTS. I also have a 156 2.0 TS. Watch out the JTS oil maintanance because I just found out why one of the lobes on the exhaust camshaft has a significat wear! Poor oil maintanance! Bad oil specification or changed too late! All a JTS needs is an oil catch can and maybe a valve clean. Oil consumption si mostly from valve seals. That's it.
Beautiful Alfa just needs a bit of low H&R with koni street is cheap and solid option, not hard but stiffness when needed and a 30mm drop
Thanks, I was thinking about it but roads here are awful, lower suspension might do more harm than good...
@@arcgarage I thought so 2 but it brings the back side down, that levels the nose out a bit, I was due for a new springs and shocks and the H&R and koni was cheaper than oem🙈

I just completely lost the remote function on my only key for GT. I have no code card.
The remote worked for 4 years normally, now just won't work. I replaced the battery, no luck.
Any ideas what I can try? I can start it as before, just lost the remote funcion.
If you got someone who fixes cell phones, take it there. They can check out if all of the button connections are OK. I fixed numerous 147, GT keys that way...

I buying 1 year ago, but the car can not be close, open from remote key. Only with key from any door 😁.

You can get the code from dealership, but take your keys to cellphone repairman and have them check all of the connections. that is usually the issue, I have fixed many keys that way

Hi mate I have the same problem and I did the procedure with Multiecuscan as shown but the car doesn't detect the remote when I press the button. It fails everytime, I tried with another remote and it fails the same way. I start to think the problem comes from the receiver in the car. Any idea ?
Make sure to test both keys and receiver, if the problem is with MES contact their support, they will help you out
@@arcgarage How to test the receiver on the Alfa 147 ? It seems to be integrated to the body computer and not a separate module like on the 156 for example.
I have an used (so, not virgin) Alfa 147’s key incl. transponder and remote. After having a fob key cut by a locksmith and transferred the remote board and transponder, is it possible to program it for an Alfa GT?

I don’t have any spare key. I lost my key which had a transponder and remote. Currently I have one key with remote+transponder and I said an Alfa 147 key. Can the transponder of the 147 be programmed to work with a GT?

@@arcgarage Pricing on one for GT is about 220€. That info is from official dealer when I called them to get one because i did not get mine with car.
That's too much, try somebody else. You should be able to get it free of charge...

Hey kinda late reply, but hope it helps. There actually a seller on ebay that sells you your key code and immobilizer code for around 30$, the only down side is that he just provides you numbers without the key code card so you will have to print them or store otherwise. Seller is called "decodingcode".

What if the remote on the other original key don't work?
It could be due to the failure of the internal components, I came upon that issue numerous times...
@@arcgarage no i have only a key without remote motherboard, buyed a new key with a motherboard only thing is how to push the remote keys to program the new one if there isn't any on the old one. The lost key had it...

Meni je ključ iznenada prestao raditi, otključao, upalio i vozio jedno 20ak minuta. Izađem iz auta, neće da zaključa na daljinski. Mjenjao baterije ali ništa. Da li je to onda sličan problem kao što si opisao u videu ili bi moglo biti nešto drugo?
Ne sjecam se sta sam pricao u videu ali odnesi nekom ko popravlja telefone da provjeri konekcije, ako je sve ok ond aga reprogramiraj

I have gone to a key shop because none of my two keys remote working ... they copy the key in not original key type like mitt the red .. it unlocks locks everything ok but if you hold the lock unlock buttons the windows don’t come down or up .. I told them I don’t want this and I don’t pay for that key .. they told me that they will find OEM147 key then the problem with windows will fix ? What my cause it ?
It could be due to the key, but it could also be due to the module which controls the windows...

It's been months since my key was washed in washing machine. It doesn't work. Any possibility to make it work again?
If I had to guess, I would say internals are the issue, but you could try to reprogram it. If it doesn't work, you can always buy the used key (replace parts like I did), and program it to your car using this procedure...

Hi! Do you know if the "Key Code" is stored in the Body Computer Module, or is it stored elsewhere? My Alfa 147 BCM was destroyed after some drops of water got inside the grey box. I bought a replacement BCM in a scrap-yard, thinking that MultiEcuScan could reprogram my keys. I don't have that software, but I'd like to know if it can help me before buying it (at the moment, the immobilizer works, so I cannot start the engine). Can you tell me?
usually is a card on the car documents together with the original manuals of Fiat...I cant find mine...
My car came with 2 keys. I lost one. I have bought another of ebay for about 35Euro. When programming with MultiEcuScan it says ensure you have all the keys. Will it expect to see the "lost" key? Or will it simply just program my current working key and new "ebay" key.
I hope that makes sense? I have emailed support at MultiEcuScan before I actually try it. They have yet to get back to me after 1 week.

I don't think it will ask for the lost key. However when you do the procedure you must have all of your keys with you so you can program them. Essentially you will have to program in the existing key again...
Do you receive and reply from MES about this problem?
@@arcgarage Cool. Thats what I suspected will happen. Then IF i found my lost key, it would no longer work and all 3 three would need to be programmed again.

Can you answer me the following question? :
I have two remote control keys for the car.
The 1st works normally and on the remote control.
The 2nd only mechanically, it has lost its remote control.
Question
IF I PROGRAM THEM WITH MULTIECUSCAN.
1o programs it normally.
The 2nd one, however, cannot be programmed for some reason (e.g. because its board is broken) and I close the program, so ONLY the 1st one will be programmed.
What will happen with the 2nd key, since it will be cancelled?
Will it continue to work as before (i.e. WILL it only put the engine in front, without the remote control?) Or will it not even be able to put the engine in front?
With 2nd you'll be able to start the car, but won't be able to unlock it. When you fix the board you can reprogram it
